To an awkward kid, humor and the ability to make others laugh is a tremendous gift. I could do that and got to hang with the cool guys in school. Humor saved me from a couple ass beatings. I also saw a live Tonight show but it didnt impress me at the time. Cant remember who was on but I remember the girl I went with and that went no where. :).

My neighbors kid had bronchitis and the coughing got really bad one night. She had already taken him to the hospital but the meds were taking forever to take effect. She made a hot ginger poultice to break up the phlegm.. smothered it on his chest and his coughing eased in less than two hours, almost gone the next morning. Yeah.

I knew a guy who had a relative who worked at NBC in Burbank and obtained 2 tickets for me and my girlfriend to see the Tonight Show sometime between Christmas and Newyears 1981. It included a cool tour of Burbank Studios, where we gotvto see things like the amazing NBC prop room and sets of other shows, including a taping of the short-lived Peter Marshal gameshow 'Fantasy'. The Tonigjt Show set and audience seating was small compared tO how large it seemed on TV.
