I couldn't agree more. And I can't listen to the show unless they are together. If Matt or Sona is absent from the episode, then I wait for the next one.
To be honest I almost never watch the interview clips unless it's someone I know will be gold, like Kevin Nealon. Sadly I have discovered that sometimes this means missing out on a gem like Werner Herzog saying "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo".

Very interesting to hear Conan's story of how his parents would try to get him and his siblings to go to sleep by playing comedy albums in the hallway outside their bedrooms. LOL. Those are some cool parents.

Sona's impressions and sound-effects are just *chef's kiss*
Not only did David Frye sound like the people he imitated, he also took on their physical characteristics and looks. His William F Buckley was particularly vicious, he caught the lizard like hooded eyes and movements of Buckley down to his constant flicking of his tongue that was just eerie. He could go from the hunched shoulders and folded arms that would shoot out to throw up V for victory hand signs of Nixon to a Lyndon Johnson looking down down his spectacles at you while ripping you a new one in his Texas drawl. I had his album I Am the President memorized and did it at a parents night in Junior High.
Buckley's quarks helped him to further devastate his benighted opponent

3:34 Back in the early 90s, Nixon would pop up in The Simpsons every now and then. I've always thought Conan was responsible for most of Nixon jokes in the show, but obviously, Oakley and Weinstein deserve a shoutout, too. I wonder if Conan kept in touch with them, it would be awesome to see Conan interviewing former writer colleague from the show.

I was thinking over Animaniacs and Wakko is usually in the cut and in the backdrop making his jokes. Yakko SEEMS like 'the funny one' up front--and he is--but he's also not. Wakko is way funnier because he's making fun of Yakko the whole time.
We need to hear Matt’s impressions! His HR Geiger is the best thing.
Matt is insanely talented as a performer. His Geiger on that Cake Boss exorcism episode of "Comedy Bang Bang" is truly one of the funniest things I have ever encountered. The fact that he has so many different superior skill sets is really impressive.

I don't know if you want to be responsible for the outcome, but I think you should consider giving Sona her own show as a life coach. Only the show could be called, "The Life Couch: With Sona". The show could consist entirely of her sitting on her couch complaining to the producers that she thought they said "couch" not "coach" and she has no interest getting off the couch to do anything. So you send people to her and the couch so she can give them life advice.
FYI: she did do a quick series called “Sona fixes your life” where people wrote in for advice. It was some good stuff.

I wonder how many times Louis C.K. and Conan talked about Nixon when they were working together back in the day. Because Louis himself was also fascinated by Nixon when Louis was a child and they both speak very similar about him.

I'm a lot older,....Nixon became president when I began high school and won a second term when I was in college. Myself and my friends were all artists, and we constantly mocked Nixon and his Vice President, Spiro Agnew. I always wondered if Bart Simpson's nerdy friend, Milhouse, was meant to tip the hat to Nixon, as Milhous was Nixon's middle name ?
When I saw the title, I naturally assumed it would be an hour long deep dive analysis in the spirit of the origins of Late Night.....

Man I wanna have someone get into comedy who had this same experience but coming into self awareness during the Bush administration in the 2000's.
Conan’s gift to humanity are his Nixon impressions.
Conan's pretty spot-on about Trump impressions. Most comedians (esp talk show hosts) who do Trump impressions flop because it's so hard to say anything funny as him that isn't at least plausible. I've only ever heard two truly great Trump impressions and they were both nonsense:
1) Brennan Lee Mulligan on Make Some Noise doing Donald Trump as the Voice of Sauron
2) Zach Hadel of OneyPlays/Smiling Friends doing literal nonsense rants as Trump (Hillary pooped on the floor in the McDonald's bathroom, I've seen goblins on the White House lawn, etc.)
