imo Brawlhalla isn’t a knockoff if smash, it’s just a game in the same genre. Like Fortnite and PUBG, there are certain things that make them different, but others that make them similar the only difference being that Brawlhalla’s genre is so clearly dominated by smash, it’s been knocked down to “knockoff” status

It could...if it was done 15-18 years ago. Smash Bros went too long without other successful games being made in their style. Being unopposed for so long means that anything coming out now that uses that style will just be seen as a ripoff of Smash Bros.

To be honest, I play a TON of Indie Games and I have no idea who those characters are! I'd be expecting characters like Tim, Meat Boy, Jacket, The Kid from Bastion, Shovel Knight, Isaac, Freddy Fazbear, Quote, The Kid from Limbo, Steve, Captain Viridian, Wilson, Stanley etc. but I guess these are really mainstream yet somewhat ambiguous Indie game characters.
It is still updating and adding more characters. Plus it does have Dust from Dust an Elysian Tale and I've heard rumors that the Batter from Off is supposed to be in.

Takara is actually a toy company, not just one line. Their best known products are what became the original Transformers toys when Hasbro brought them over, the Diaclone and Microchange lines. Eventually, the Americanized versions became more popular and were reintroduced in Japan as such. Takara still handles the brand in Japan today.
Well to be fair with Playstation Allstars, Sony didn't give the development team a good budget and only gave them a small window of development time to make it. They didn't help Super Bot with 3rd Party and barley marketed the game. If Sony actually let the game grow it could've been something better. And as for Crash and Spyro, they tried to get those characters but Activision wouldn't let them. They wanted the original Dante but Capcom pressured them into cross promoting their reboot. Same goes for Raiden instead of Snake. Overall it's not a bad game, but it just came at the wrong place and time. If it was a launch title for the PS4 with more time and love put into it, I can guarantee you it would've been better. Also I feel like you should've talked about the latest version of Indie Game Battle. It fixes the floatiness you were talking about, features for popular characters like Dust from Dust an Elysian Tale

+SupraViperhead I actually like the super to death only mechanic. It works well in 4 player fights especially. I play PSASBR regularly and play lots of 1v1s. Those battles are fun and intense that demand smart play, good decision making, and taking risks. I think PSASBR is a great game, but it just turns people off in the first hour because of how hard it is to master. OH, but when mastered.... You'll feel so powerful and clever.
+Freefork All it demands is saving up for your special and hitting it. That's it. If I don't have fun within the first 10 minutes, there is absolutely no incentive for me to keep playing. When the original Smash Bros came out in 99, I was 11 and I had fun in my first battle against my brother. I was Link, he was Mario. Although it took me awhile to master Smash Bros, I always had fun while playing it.
I agree with you on Play Station All Stars, it's not as good as Smash in my opinion. Back when we got the rights to use Salad Fingers he had a game in development, but by the time the game got cancelled he was an almost complete character, so we did not scrap him.

Brawlhalla is not smash bros, smash player cant pick it up any easier than new players, there are things in brawlhalla like different weponds and different conseps like gravity cancel.

2:25 ill have you know, that juat because brawlhalla has the same concept as smash, it is almost conpletley different, with weapons with combos specific to each character, a deep lore (it actually does) and skins and emotes that make it all the more satisfying and cool to knockout and win against your opponnents
