I have a suggestion on how to save "Stumpy".
Did you know that red delicious apples all taste the same because all the trees are actually the branches from an original tree that were cut and then grafted onto other root stock.
They could do the same for "Stumpy".
Cut the surviving branches off and graft it to another tree.
"Stumpy" gets a second chance to live in a better location.
Maybe you can suggest this to the Park rangers P6 :)

Great pictures and I love the info and stories you share with us about all the places in DC. I am supprised about how close you can get to the president. You are a good guy, But a bad actor could get that close too. I guess we have to trust that the people who made cardboard doors for airplane cockpits, Know what they are doing.
Penguin Six probably has to pass a background check to get his White House passes. Plus he always talks about the hassle of taking his gear through the Secret Service checkpoint. That checkpoint probably checks that he is not carrying any weapons.

I'm not sure why the smaller but I think they might just be out of position on the VH-3Ds. VP is in NY, Biden traveled to California and Washington last week. There are only 11 VH-3Ds so maybe they were spread too thing. Not sure why.

This was done in order to facilitate the ongoing cleanup of the Key Bridge Collapse. This raises the question in my mind of how the heck did you miss the news regarding the Key Bridge, and the only thing I can think of is that you aren't from the United States as it has been on the news here for weeks.

Nope. When they use Fort McNair it is typically because some event is being setup on the South Lawn, being held on the South Lawn, or being taken on the South Lawn. There really is no conspiracy behind any of these things just because you didn't pay attention to how all this stuff happened.

Presumably the owner is still paying them to take care of the ship. If the accident had not occurred, they would be at sea, conducting a long voyage.
They don't have visas to get off the ship.
It is being reported that the crew on the ship are being detained there. Their phones have been confiscated and they have been given other phones. Why are they still on board when they are destroying the bridge? Things don't add up.
Well, the ship has provisions to keep them comfortable for weeks and weeks as it's final destination was the other side of the world. On the ship, they can't wander off and are available for questioning. P6 said that repairs would take place in the Virginia ports so the crew would run the ship down there. It's likely they will be dismissed there.
