I'm predicting a Springbok v France final next year. If the Irish had a backup flyhalf as good as Sexton I would probably say it could even be a France v Ireland final. The Irish are a great side but Sexton gives them that edge, he adds a little bit of magic that is not there when he is absent. He is 36 now, don't know if he would make it all the way through to the final from today.
The issue is to get to a RWC semi final, let alone the final, Ireland will have to beat at least two of South Africa, Scotland, France, or New Zealand. Ireland won't fear any of those teams, but it's going to be difficult.
…time for World Rugby to realise, to recognize that Irish Rugby is seriously coming into its own. A great ‘new’ force emerging! Watch out the Old Dogs like the Bokke and AB’s, for these Manne are seriously committed to their quest for ingenious and victorious play…👊🔥!!
Great rugby - even if I am an ABs fan! Irelands style - power, precision, connection, and flair outwide! Love it.... So I'm old enough to remember the old Australian firm belting us regularly - Eales and Gregan! The lesson is no team is dominant forever! Looking forward to this weekend...may the best team win!
With a good referee, for example MR O'Keefe who didn't biased the result, the French would have been closer on the scoreboard,I didn't say they won but closer for sure. This afternoon the French distroyed England in Twickenham by a margin of 43 points.A slaughter!!!!!!Next week you'll receive them, maybe for another one.Only a miracle will give us a victory in this current six nations.
@@photoclubmouansois Ireland beat France in a great game. Irish pressure was too much for France, especially after 65 min, France faded. And today Ireland beat Scotland, even though they lost five players to injury. Ireland are playing great rugby, they are relentless and their fitness levels are amazing. Next week Ireland have a great chance to win the grandslam, but it will be tough. France are a great team and will be favorites for the WC, but Ireland are the best team in this Six Nations.
I'm actually an All Blacks supporter as I was born there, but watching these Irish victories makes me so proud and happy for them. Hopefully they can back it up in the World Cup because they thoroughly deserve it. The brand of rugby is brilliant and reminds me of some old All Blacks teams actually.
@@rugbydrive Yep, we're loving it. Best rugby Ireland has ever played. We're a lot better now than under Joe Schmidt..... Albeit Joe laid the groundwork.
Wow that was awesome! Loved every minute of it. I guess it’ll be too much to ask for an “All Blacks dominating Ireland for 1520 minutes” or equivalent of 19 unbeaten games? 😂
Beating the All Blacks in 2016 definitely made a massive impact as Ireland had no longer the title of never beating the All blacks, hanging over there head, then 2018, beating them at home and 2022 beating them in New Zealand, these games have taken a bit of that pressure off Ireland. The last one to go is to beat NZ in a world cup game. All I want, for the WC next year is for Ireland to get rid of the constant "we bottle it at World Cup" chant and just play the best WC ever. Don't know about winning it but just have the best tournament than previous. The way we are playing is mesmerizing to watch but what the tour has shown is though we are playing well and some beautiful rugby, we still have a lot more to improve on. Need to be more clinical
@@rugbydrive it was 60-0 if I remember correctly, I was living in Wellington at the time..... my god that was embarrassing going to work on the Monday 🤦♂️ with a Maori as a boss 😭
Ireland play the only way that counters the blacks defence, the run hard and straight through the middle. The back row contest robustly forcing the blacks to commit and play simple direct patterns of attack and defence so that players know instinctively where they should be. Rugby is not complicated! Most of the rest of the world try to overcomplicated patterns as they are often defeated by the all black aura. Well done Ireland.
As a spingbok fan im very concerned that the wounded beast plays us first in the championship.the AB will emerge number 1again before long. Rugby is in their DNA , i think these losses will cause a great reset amongst them.
Between the lame coach and a player drain I am not so sure. Rugby has been dropping in popularity in NZ for years now. Basketball is a bigger spectator sport than rugby and Rugby League has been growing for years. I've been watching the NRL and it is really exciting and gripping. Union just don't have players like Carter and McCaw anymore. From that generation you can name an entire squad of household names (Conrad Smith, Maa Nonu, etc, etc), who can you name from this one? Beauden Barret and Brodie Retallick? Retallick is injured and Barrett seems a bit off, especially being played out of position regularly. If they did something drastic, sure they might return to the old days but I am just not seeing it. This is even considering they might win in SA 2-0 or get a 1-1 result. They're lucky that they're mainly playing the small unions on their end of year tour. It's funny I am seeing Irish, French and Bok supporters all happy for them to retain Ian Foster. Lol. If they fire Foster and put in Scott Robertson they've got a chance, doesn't seem like Robertson wants the job right now though or Foster would be gone already. He wants to take over after the World Cup so he can build his own team instead of getting lumped with a bad set of players and too little time to make a difference.
I think some teams just decided to pour money into their domestic game, build resources and increase the popularity and now we are seeing where that leads some teams like Ireland and France. It's just a case of them catching up. Ireland do look great and are very clinical - sport is in their DNA, they even have sports unique to them unlike most other countries that have copied sports from overseas. But France look like they will be the dominant team for a generation, they have some stars that look absolutely incredible!
This current Irish side could beat everybody, not saying they will, but they have the confidence and the skill to become the second NH team to lift the Webb Ellis.
Of course it would Brenda, and as a New Zealander I would love to make that video haha. It was cool though to see how a side like Ireland has matured over recent years to become so bloody good!
with some Pain comes some Gain and this hurt, beaten by the better team. Every young rugby player in New Zealand will remember this and be inspired to take the challenge on and yes the All Blacks lost but it makes the next World Cup very interesting out come. I met an All Black once, I introduced him as an All Black. He said but I never played an international. I said did you wear the All Black jersey to which he replied yes, so I said you are an ALL Black and shook his hand.
We need to shake things up a bit. Change the coaching staff and drill the team to work harder than that last performance against Ireland. Talent is there but direction and game plan is nowhere at the moment unfortunately :(

So great to see Ireland succeed. However, are Ireland too dependant on brilliant 37 y.o. Sexton? At present I do still think France have the edge for the World Cup due to the strength in depth of their squad.....fascinating 16 months coming up.
Such an interesting question isn’t it? Most of their recent great games were built around him and I’m not sure Joey Carbery has what it takes at the moment. This upcoming year is huge for Ireland to see if they can finally perform at a World Cup

should be 6 of 8. That match after chicago in dublin was disgraceful. ABs cheated their way to a win. late hits foul play was on a different level. Several reds that day yet not given
It’s great to win test matches and tours etc but until we do it in a World Cup when it really matters remains to be seen, hopefully they can keep this form for another 18months
Totally agree, it's ridiculous to think we've never progressed past the last eight, serious under performance, we are capable of winning it with this team.
@Jay M For Ireland there is 2 possible trophies they can win worth anything, the 6 nations and World Cup. Ireland win the 6 nations regularly against the best teams in Europe but to be up there with the top teams like NZ, SA, England, Australia they need to win or at least make a final of the World Cup. So ultimately for Ireland the World Cup is the be all and end all. We want success at the highest level and this is standard we need to strive for.
@@rugbydrive the all blacks and the springboks in recent years had a very powerful forward pack gives there back space I've noticed that now it's evening out this the best era for for European rugby
True true, but I’d say that ABs forwards have never been as hard as some of these northern hemisphere teams. Apart from maybe McCaw, Kaino, and Collins that is
Ireland and France are the danger sides for this coming world cup. I have to say though, I think the shorts matching the colours of the shirts definately work better. With all the evolution happening in the uniforms Im surprised to see those boring white shorts still in so many uniforms.

They are playing such good clean clinical nearly flawless rugby against the ABs at present so heartening ..
They are nearly flawless at the moment. Don’t tell me they’ve peaked too early please!!
@@rugbydrive we pray they've got alot more in the tank to perfection ..
Keep Sexton injury free for a year and they are cooking with gas...
Damn I really enjoyed watching this, so interesting!😅
Thanks for the feedback!
1:26 -- oh I loved this one! I rate them for the RWC final the way they have been playing last few years. They look like the complete side right now.
They look like a very well drilled side, and long May it last
The issue is to get to a RWC semi final, let alone the final, Ireland will have to beat at least two of South Africa, Scotland, France, or New Zealand. Ireland won't fear any of those teams, but it's going to be difficult.
@@jerryhiggins7557 Yes true that. When there's one or two more northern Hem teams firing the tournament just opens up so much.
Fair play to Ireland they played some beautiful rugby. Well done
Yep they have been incredible. With a name like that I assume you're welsh?
Ireland / France in the next 6 Nations will be very interesting, well I'm not in a hurry to get old but I look forward to it
I’d skip the next year of mine to watch it tomorrow 😂 genuinely can’t wait!
I can't wait to see the Springboks in the Six Nations.
@@Martin-pb7ts what? You really think the Bokks will leave the championship for the 6N? I doubt either world rugby or the 6N would want that.
@@Martin-pb7ts interesting..
One amazing game today! 🇮🇪
As the manager said, by far the hardest thing to do is beat NZ in NZ in a series. The hardest thing to do in rugby.
And then to add to it we had the classic against France in Dublin in the Six Nations in Feb 2023. As an Irish supporter this is dreamland.
We will never give up 🎉
This kiwi hopes ireland can go all the way at next RWC
Fucking love this team and this country
This team has done it all. Next stop WC final!

Great Ireland to worthy music - such an achievement merits the dignity of an orchestral masterpiece.
Amazing. I didn't see that one coming
Thanks J. P. so glad you enjoyed it!
Wow that was awesome! Loved every minute of it. I guess it’ll be too much to ask for an “All Blacks dominating Ireland for 1520 minutes” or equivalent of 19 unbeaten games? 😂
😂
For so many years Ireland just hoped to do okay against NZ. Now they have the belief that they should always win.
It's crazy how the perception has shifted. Only in the last decade Ireland got thumped in NZ by more than 60 points...
Ireland can win the world cup!
They have a bloody good chance next year don’t they!
Incredible footy. World Cup, money on Ireland to win.
Big call Scott! Mines either on them or France to be fair. But then again SA could bring the heat too
A great pity Ireland can't play like this at the world cups, let's hope they make it further than usual, I good teambto watch play
Very good analysis John, love it. You are right, sometimes rugby is a simple game. Smash the opposition down the middle and score tries, easy!
@@Martin-pb7ts nope the talent is there!
Based on these, a series win should have been expected.
In hindsight definitely! Tricky to ever see this coming at the time though, even with the previous games in mind. What a dominant Irish series indeed
@@rugbydrive saying that, I didn't feel the need to put on an easy bet on odds of Ireland winning series. All Blacks winning aura is deep. :)

Rugby in NZ is like GAA in Ireland.

The RWC is going to be very interesting it'll be the best one yet
It's looking veeeery juicy. Wish I could just fast forward to that game
This current Irish side could beat everybody, not saying they will, but they have the confidence and the skill to become the second NH team to lift the Webb Ellis.
Very nice. (Though admittedly a video compilation of NZ destroying Ireland would be about four hours long.)

The All Black jersey is full of pride and legacy. They’ll be back for sure, maybe not under this management system but they’ll be back.

@@moc7323 As a french supporter, I totally agree, we are pretty sure to to to the QF so the pressure plus the fact that we will be facing Ireland or SA could really make us loose the game
