These Scots are great. They are playful, unpredictable, generous. I am French and I admire this Scottish team. I was among the Scots during a VI Nations tournament match at the Stade de France. It was sensational, a friendly and festive atmosphere. What a unique people!
you can't understand how crap it was growing up in the 90/2000s in Scotland and having to watch us get pumped by England every year. it was just this recurring, compounding nightmare that became a physical impossibility. for things to have turned around to this extent is something that i could never have expected to experience in my lifetime. i can't stress how miraculous and precious this episode in our history is! it really has been a huge source of inspiration for me and i'm sure many others. also the 2019 match has to be one of the wildest moments in the history of sport in general. can anyone think of anything else that liducrous? shame we didn't win but still i think it was the really turning point in terms of belief, and ultimately didn't really matter and in retrospect is quite funny and appropriate somehow.
I just come back to these videos time and again to remind myself of these times we are living in. I almost stopped watching rugby in the 2010s it was so bad. These days of Russell, Jones and VDM will never be forgotten

I understand because I was going to those matches. So many tedious slogs, decided on penalties. I had a picture from the 2000 victory at Murrayfield on my wall for 23 years because it was such a momentous event. When we moved house recently I was going to put it up again then I thought, nah, I don't need to be reminded of something that happened two decades ago when we've had so many victories and played so much beautiful rugby far more recently. I've rewatched all the full matches so many times and the 2019 draw is possibly my favourite. That Finn Russell intercept!!
As an Englishman, it never bothers me when we loose to Scotland. Great, generational team full of eccentric characters and Gregor is a legend. Finn Russell is surely in anybody’s top 3 favourite players in the world. However, Scotland always do get out of bed with a bit more spring in their step when they play us, shame they can’t do that when playing other teams as they could be one of the best in the world. Should have beaten both France and Italy this year and should of really been better against an Irish team we had weakened the week before.

France we’re on the backfoot and Scotland we’re just playing with them as if to say ‘we have you’, but the game was far from won. There is honestly so much to decipher from Scotlands six nations, they are either an incredible team on the cusp of glory or they are a sinking ship. I sincerely hope it’s the former

I’ll be honest I have been cheering for Scotland as neutral in all their games for many years, but the last 4 years has felt disappointing because that have played so unbelievably well in most of their games and just come off short, sometimes for their lack of discipline and sometimes bad luck, but I really do feel for you Scotland fans, every game must feel like a rollercoaster of emotions. I don’t mean to beat a dead horse but I genuinely believe that the; Horne, Russell, Kinghorn, Jones Tuipoltu, Graham, Van Der Merve Backline IS the best in the world and when it clicks it’s going to be special.
Its nothing to do with only turning up for England. South Africa, New Zealand, Ireland and France have just been better more consistent teams the last 4 years. Although England are definitely starting to close the gap now based on their performances the last few months.

Thanks for posting this. I was at Twickenham for the 2017 drubbing, probably one of the darkest days as a Scotland supporter. I started getting into rugby in the early 00's so the first 15 to 18years was England wiping the floor with us every year so it was not really a rivalry lol from 2015 till now Scotland gone from beating them back and forth till last 5 years having their number ! but to be honest it great and all but would rather win a six nations title, England are on the rise again and the future of Scottish rugby is looking bleak lol so its only a matter of time. but cull cutta cup is amazing atmosphere yes there is booing but its more like in a panto kind of way and you can have a bit of banter back and forth but never goes any further and share hipflask with your fellow English fan in the stands
