I need to learn I encountered a deaf person and I wrote things down because I didn't know any sign language I wish that was a requirement at schools.
In my city in the US we have a Starbucks that’s staffed almost entirely by the deaf and hearing impaired. It’s a really nice vibe you can tell the franchisee was like “just do what feels good to you.” There’s a lot of stuff about deaf culture and it’s a popular study spot bc it’s so quiet
Google featured your channel for The Give Me A Sign Promo thing... I'm so glad coz I've been looking for more BSL channels but couldn't find anything I liked. I am not deaf and have no deaf friends but I'm learning BSL just because (I'm from London, live in Birmingham now) . I'm gonna watch all your videos and keep learning.
I've been learning for nearly a year and need a friend to practise with. :D

The man at the window was confused to start with he told you "you missed the order point" then obviously understood. Nice to see he adapted and took the order instead of refusing you or something ^_^
This might be a dumb question, but I wonder if some people use text-to-speech for this type of thing? I once lost my voice bc of laryngitis and had to type what I wanted to say into my phone for it to read out.
It’s so sad it has been more difficult than this just to order. It isn’t difficult for a staff member who has been reading his screen to also read your phone. I’m glad they were accommodating!
Sign language menus would be awesome! As a hearing person, it would be a great way for me to practice the signing I’m learning too. The staff could have a legend to check which sign means what if they don’t remember at first.
What do you mean by “sign language menus”?
In America we also have drive thrus like chik fil A where they stand outside to take your order with an iPad & this is customary for all their customers, but definitely a more accessible option

In Argentina, Starbucks staff is so lovely and dedicated with all people. When you said them that you're deaf or hard of hearing, they are really patient and help you a lot.

I think you should go to a place you guys never tried before. It would be a different result from the place you go to regularly.

omg hi jazzy ik u don’t know me but ik u used to got to pps (pelham primary school) and i go now im leaving school soon in abt 2023 but near the end like september or smth but i had an assembly and we talked about you :D a teacher called Mrs Tarling was teaching the assembly
I go to school at a Christian academy. I am taking Business Management. In addition, they offer a class to learn sign language; I might take it this quarter. It looks like it would be interesting.
Wow this Starbucks drive thru, they didn’t know about you am deaf use note on phone, I think they driver thru should set up interpreter easy connection with deaf people, I no sure what next part three KFC or Burger King, but my friend been told me last time my friend went to Burger King about last 2015 think, my friend pass this speak, but Burger King staff refused with my friend, and my friend was stressed up and I had report to Burger King manager been complain about them Burger King staff not respect to deaf people, and manager had massive sorry of my friend was feeling very bad day, and Burger King manager will training to other staff will be realised deaf people can’t lip-reading, but some people can use lip-reading to speak order.

I pray more hope for new technology in your area have a fast food and drink. I hope have easy order than see them anger and not help very much. I hope they accept it during patience to help with if problem solved. I hopefully new law for deaf people need more technology whole the world. 🙂
