Hi. Very nice product. I use a nail polisher, like the ones they use for manicures and pedicures to polish your nails. They work really well and also come in a variety of grits 😉
Nice work! I've had good luck applying my final metal finish (polished or brushed) to the coin prior to engraving and then not touching those surfaces while engraving. If you want to paint the deep part of the engraving, try to mask the top surface by coating it with something the paint will not penetrate and stick to, such as a thin layer of Vasoline, prior to painting. Once the paint has dried, it can be removed with soap and water.
@derrickpierce4440 thank you for the idea! Will definitely try it. Before, if I had big objects on the dial, I would cut thin aluminium sheet and just over it before painting the rest
Great job! I've had some logos made for sterile dials and have been interested in the dial-making process. The issue I run into are limited dial designs, lack of texture, etc. Looking forward to more videos of your work!
Cool to see all the work that goes in to making one single dial. If you are looking for ideas on motives to use: I'm sure a large sea turtle and and also Vostok's Scuba dude would be popular.
man, I really like that dial... do you have templates that you follow for the watch so you know where the hands go, etc...? Also how do you secure it on the movement without the pegs on it if you create this off of a flat sheet of brass? And lastly do you know of a more affordable laser to use? I just looked up your laser and wooo doggy that's a hefty price tag.
@97JoMiller So basically, the first time I measured it 1000 times, laser it and measure again until I make a perfect size. There is no need for the dial fit. It's easy to make 12 and 3 o'clock marks on the movement, and then I secure it by dial dots. Yes, I used 0.5mm brass sheets for this one. Affordable laser won't do many think you will want later😅 But for cutting 0.5mm brass + engraving, something like Fiber 30w will do well
Hello, This is amazing work, congratulations and thank you for sharing. How many Watts is your laser ? What power do you think is needed to cut 0.5mm aluminium and brass ? I wonder if 20W is enough (output power)
Hi, I think after laser must or better sandblaster with soft micro material it will make it like production if you don't know about it ask jewelry maker smith he can guide u. All the best man
That is such an amazing work!! Good job mate! What kind of laser do you use and how did you learn working with the software? I bought a 5W Laser 3 months ago but was not happy with the result and refunded it. And where do you buy the base material? BR Florian
I use fiber mopa m7 60w, it cuts everything like butter. I'm still learning. There is so much more I can possibly do with the laser, but not enough skill yet🥲 I bought all the materials from a local store. You can find those metal sheets on aliexpress as well
Great work, what you can do is buy 15,000 grit sand paper then 20k-60k micro film and then use sunshine bright clothe for your last pass, do all of this on a very smooth surface like grass if you polish with a electric motor you will ruin the detail.

Fascinating i didn't know how indepth you went into creating your watches, but it's impressive 👏

Wow these faces look great. What an interesting process. Thank you for taking the time to show this.
I didn't expect it to be interesting 😅😅 Thank you!
Hello 👋🏻 what’s your laser machine? 😮
very exited to make my 3rd order soon with a unique dial now
I'm excited too😁😁
Very cool Alex! The Halo master at work 😁

Looks absolutely great! I want to do one now lol I do have one suggestion, always sand in one direction not back and forth.
@redbeard680 Thanks for the suggestion! I understood it only after countless tries 😅😅

I will definitely check it out!
Really nice, and fast, and easy are all mutually exclusive terms.
Your work is impressive. I have a question: where can I get indices with Super-LumiNova or something of that quality?
@@JOMP33 thanks! You can find them on Aliexpress. Or simple order the dial with the indices you want and reuse them
nice video! What is your go to watch that you would recommend that is easy to learn and test taking it apart?
@pm2498 Anything standard with NH35 is the best to practice on. For example SteelDive 1953 or 1970

Where did you get the clamp that holds the material
@@jamiemantegna4643 you mean for the laser?
wow, this is so cool!

@nicolasdeluz hi! Thanks 😊
I use Mopa m7 60w laser, it easily cuts brass 1mm. For 0.5, I think 20W might be enough 🤔 But again, I'm not an expert
Hi, do you take orders for custom watch dials only?
@@andrewhardie8138 Not only the dials, I also make custom watches 😊 Mod4thai.com
Wow these are amazing. Would it be possible to order one somehow?
@@baandoptager thanks!😊 Yes, check if out on mod4thai.com
Man for paint used airbrush or lable print it will give more soft surface and quality looks
@binomair9326 haha, started to use it recently and it looks soooo much better!
try using a dremmel tool and a special paste to fine polish
I was just thinking about it😁 Thanks for the idea!!
How do you mount it to the movement? It has no "legs"
@@DunePanda I use dial dots. It's simple and effective
Very cool dials!! How do you make the dial feet?
@@GLA2001G I use dial dots instead
@@ShortBetter ahh I see, thanks for the tip!!
These are awesome. What grip sandpaper are you using? Keep up the good work.
@frogsinthepot right now, I use a bit different method. But that time, it was 1000 for removing paint and 2000-3000 for polishing

I am designing my own watch (one copy) at the moment. Do you know of some place I can have this laser service done (I am in the EU).
@Hurtone I can do that for you😁 Send me dm on any social media. All the links are in the description
