  • If you frequent KL’s famed Petaling Street you would probably have noticed a long queue and road-hogging tables in front of a noodle stall that has a magnetic pull of not just Chinese but also Muslim customers. Yes, this is traditional Lanzhou ‘pulled noodles’ from China, made halal in this busy street in KL’s Chinatown. The shop is literally using the translation of ‘pulled noodles’ in Bahasa Malaysia, Mee Tarik! The servings now include fried chicken, steamed or fried lamb and chicken dumplings and chives pancake. Take a look at this video to get a feel of the atmosphere in and around this enclave. You will be amazed by the number of such similar shops selling ‘pulled noodles’ sprouting up left right centre here. Take a stroll and discover more.
Without doubt, this is the favourite spot for a quick meal or midnite supper when you are in town.‎
