Hi Amanda! This is the way I tea-dye my paperstoo! Just love the crinkly sound and like you say the mottled effect. Can't wait to see your other process videos! Tetley also good for drinking! HA! HA!☺
A couple years ago when I began junk journals I used a spray bottle. Since then the nice bottles sprayer took a poop. Lol. I'm gettin a new one. Love you amanda...your work is superb
I’ve always done my paper with paintbrush, mason jar, cold tea, cold coffee, watercolour paints, and a spray or 3 lol I’m too lazy to do the drop in the tray, hang up, dry overnight, what a palava lol xxxx Take care, lovely to see you so excited with your journal prep, always a crafter eh, stay safe, love to the family, xx🥰❤️😘
Yay! Thanks for sharing I’ve only seen the videos where they leave them submerged for days and then put them in the oven to dry 😳 love the spray bottle idea xx
Good idea to tea-dye this way Amanda ! Never done tea dye, so ideal for me as I probably wouldn't use that much of the paper. Thanks for sharing, will try.
I just tried it and liked it - thanks! I need a better sprayer, tho, because mine was drippy. Why I was wearing white pants while squirting away, I’ll never know!?!! Lol
I have a journal which I don't want to seperate the pages. Would just spraying be okay or would I need to do them with something uneath and blow dry them? To keep rhe pages from sticking together.
I wanted the crinkly sound in a journal so before I used it, I just fanned out the journal and sprayed it with water. I would think doing the same with tea or coffee wouls work the same way. I have a piece of glass on top of my antique DR table so I just stood it up to dry. Whatever you use to dry it on, make sure it's a surface that won't cause the journal to fall over. 😊

yes my white desk is also stained so its strong stuff best to wear black ha ha ha ha
Do you have any suggestions for a more grey scale effect rather than brown? What I could use?
Use a grey ink or watered down paint x

Yes put something like a plastic bag under then dry it with a heat tool x
