- For those of you who like to do ippon-seoi-nage, koshi-guruma is a good complementary technique. It's probably worth mentioning that famed ippon-seoi-nage specialist Toshihiko Koga also did koshi-guruma.

You know, after watching your contest for gold against the German several times, I cannot see how the judges decided he won, you were on the attack constantly , attempted several throws, I especially remember several attempts of tomonage, don’t remember seeing the German hit any throws , he fought like hell for grips but you wouldn’t let him have anything, I can only believe he won on bias for being the home boy.
thanks for the pro tip about the humb toward the chin sir !
Awesome Travis, will give this a go once back in the dojo
Such a great variation and entry into the throw. Thanks, Travis.
I have been watching this a lot, and practicing in the meantime to make it my own. I have been stuck with the problem Travis speaks off at 2:48. My opponent often straightens his back and it become impossible for me to throw.
I was puzzled because I couldn't make my opponent break his posture, and NOW I get it : I have to roll my arm behind his HEAD ( almost at the top ), not at the base of his neck. That is very important indeed.
Man ! I am pumped up and want to go back to the mats soon.
Thanks
Love the way you teach judo 🥋 sir
Great tips, small details that change the game!
Clean
thank you for excellent video as always
I think I saw you do that athletic version on “Fuji tips” here on UA-cam
Thankx sensei
Smart Travis
yay travis going on about his split hip
Bravo 👏
Awesome..
Badass!!
When should we split our front leg or back leg?
I think it is personal preferance
I do seoi nage from both ways and both work in the same situations
based
Can grabbing your opponents lateral muscle also prevent standing up and posturing out of the throw? Like going under the chin?
or your opponent could just break your thumb once he gets a hold of it.
lol yeah good luck with that dummy
@@jonmoris9354 Why I gotta be a dummy, you dummy? Why couldn't someone just break his thumb once they've got a hold of it?! Is that so fucking far fetched?
@@robertnegron6804 because theres rules in judo ..DUMMY!
