RV Camping at Lake End Park, in Morgan City, Louisiana
    Hey folks,
In this video we take our Retro 189R travel trailer to another awesome Louisiana campground, Lake End Park. This campground is located in and run by Morgan City, Louisiana. (Just under 2 hours from Hammond, Louisiana) Our campsite had a great view of Lake Palourde and the water birds such as ducks, pelicans and egrets that frequent the shoreline. While there we did a complete drive thru of Lake End Park and a detailed site walk around. You will also see it has RV camping, tent camping, cabins, a lake beach, bike riding, boating and fishing. With two major camping loops your sure to find a really nice campsite with a peaceful family atmosphere. As always we will share things we did in the area, this time we visited the Brownell Memorial Park & Carillon Tower. Its a must see for some picturesque swamp scenes.
We hope you enjoy our video and find it helpful as well as entertaining. :D
If you have any questions let us know in the comment section. We look forward to hearing from you. Every time we head out camping we're going to record footage to share so you can find the best camp sites and campgrounds for wonderful camping experiences.

      Hey warrobert
Congratulations on the new travel trailer!!
We're glad to know our videos are being helpful. The southeast has so many nice campgrounds. We find the key is to reserve them early, if possible.🙂
Thanks warrobert for watching our videos!

We’re from central Mississippi and enjoy y’all’s videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Just finished watching your 2023 trip out West again. We did the South Dakota thing in 2022. Didn’t get to Yellowstone and grand Teton. Can’t wait to get back out west. Thanks again for sharing.

      Hey Mike
Kudos to Mississippi's campgrounds, y'all have some really nice ones!
Yeah, South Dakota surprised us in a big way! We wouldn't mind going back to the same place except spend more time there. Actually, more time in any of those three areas (Black Hills, Yellowstone or Teton) sounds like a good idea, lol😃. One day ☺. The only thing we weren't expecting was the heavy traffic on I-70 in Missouri, other than that, the drive was nice.
Thanks, Mike, for watching our video!👍

    Fun fact about Morgan City.
The first ever Tarzan movie featured the swampy forests of Morgan City as its backdrop a century ago.
Filming for “Tarzan of the Apes” took place in 1917 in Morgan City and was one the first films to be shot on location.
At 30:24 of your video you can see a poster for the movie on the door labeled private.

      Hey Richard,
Well I'll be dog-gone! Now I have to go back to look at the area in a new light.
Thank you so much for that fun fact, I wish I had paid closer attention to those signs now.😃
Thanks for the info and thanks for watching our video Richard.

Just something you might want to know, the campground where you are at use to be in the lake, the lake use to be only 50-100 feet from the road, years ago it was filled in to make that campground. The other part has been there for years, it was a boat launch and park. Thanks good to see the old home town..

We heard something like that from a few folks in the area. They did a nice job with it too. We may be headed back there sooner rather than later since its not too far from home and I won't forget my rod/reel next time! lol. (I assume I can catch redfish and trout in the lake.) :)
Thanks, Charlie, for the information and watching our video!

@@RetroRVRecon The lake is fresh water, no reds or trout,. Bass, perch and catfish. I use to live in the subdivision on the south side of the lake.

I had the privilege of meeting and speaking with Angel and Mike and they are two very kind and charming people. I am very honored that Ms. Angel showed my wreath in their latest video. I couldn't resist making one of my wreaths to match their super cute camper. Hope y'all enjoy it! ~Paulette

We will absolutely enjoy it. It hangs on the inside of the camper until we're camping, then we show it off on the outside.
Thanks again Paulette for the wreath and the kind words. ☺🙂☺🙂

What a beautiful park! You guys did such a great job on the video. Seeing all those campers and families outside enjoying themselves makes me very thankful to live in a country that gives us the freedom to do so. And with that being said, happy Thanksgiving, Mike and Angel, from Carol and me!

Hey Shaun, how nice is that for you to ask☺☺☺❤
      Yes we're great!
Although we aren't full timers we're usually on the road camping for the holidays, taking advantage of cooler weather. But last year (2023) we decided to stay home to be with family and work on a few projects.
It *is* funny you would ask that today! Today we were looking at campgrounds and planning some camping trips for the next few months. We enjoyed the holiday break but Angel and I are both ready to hit the road again.
Thanks, Shaun, for asking and thank you so much for watching our video.
      Happy Trails & Happy Camping!
