I want to actually build my arrows for the first time this season. My previous arrows were all blazers on a factory in box 📦 arrows. My current set of arrows actually are 11.25 gpi and cut at 29.25” for my 29-29.5 in draw length. They’re .204 ID arrows with 50 grain outserts and 100 grain head.
I am actually looking at getting a few different sets of 3 arrows including the BE Rampage, 5mm Axis, GT Airstrikes, etc to see which one flies best out of my newer bow 🏹 in a Prime Black 3. I may decrease the arrow gpi and add point weight instead of the heavier gpi arrows.

Man U rock at this shit! I have recently done the same thing and gone from wheel bow to a 1953 bear kodiak magnum. I am having one hell of a time getting arrows tuned for a mule deer or elk setup. It pulls 48# @28 and I draw 27.25”. I originally started with 400 spine cheap blackouts and cut off the fletches and rejigged em up with 4” feathers at 2 degree offset and right helical. Weren’t flying well with the 125 grain tips which were the only field tips at Cabela’s. I have recently switched to a 500 spine and they were much better. Flew well but arrow was extremely lite. So I got 10 grain weights for the front of arrow that tips screw into. Now are 500 spine at 29” long with 225grai s on the front and they’re just about able to bare shaft straight at 10 yards but are showing weak sometimes and stiff others, however flying nock left a bit, and the sticking straight back at me when it hits target. What am i doing wrong brother? Ur expertise is much needed.
