I love how real the "animation" of the architectural rendering is. It's as if the house is already built! Looks absolutely amazing!!! Can't imagine how you can remain calm with that dangling before your eyes. You and Alodia must be so fired up to see this house built as soon as you can.

@@pastelmacaroon Cool. Sounds like you may be in the business of architecture and/or creating such renderings (or have had direct personal experience). It's always good to learn from others who are more knowledgeable of a subject. Much appreciated.
The biggest challenge of every homeowner is the maintenance. There will always be something that will need to be repaired or replaced. Be prepared for that. Also, making sure that the house can withstand earthquake and make sure that the elevation is high enough, in case of unexpected flooding.
Get Slater as your engineer, another good engineer. "The ultimate Collab." They could help you overcome the problems you are expecting in building a house.

2yrs siguro approx construction period. Possible problems na maeencounter are:
1. Foundation - baka kailanga i-pile yan.
2. Slope protection - costly, 2 basements mean mas mataas na retaining wall
3. Rust - since malapit kayo sa bahay, mabilis magrust ang metals including mga appliances na laging exposed like aircons, etc.
4. Magastos imaintain ang dalawang pools, pwede sigurong gawing isa nalang.
5. Baka mainit sa room ninyo since puro glass and facing the sea pa where it reflects the sun.
But all these can also be mitigated with the right planning and method of construction. overall, you have an awesome house. Im sure smart house din ito and baka mag solar din kayo para tipid sa kuryente, goodluck, will look forward on the finished house :)
I think it might take two years to build. It all depends on money and how equipped the construction company is. I also think getting materials. Make sure that you use more steel in your concrete. Also make sure that the concrete is poured at the strength required. Take care of your workers make sure that they have a CR, place to eat in the shade. Taking care of the ones that are building your house are happy and in turn they will make sure to do there best for you

Drawback sa malapit sa beach house is yun mabilis na corrosion ng mga bakal gawa ng "alat-moisture" :D kaya perfect ang wood na materials talaga if ayaw ma-hassle sa corrosion, pag maintain at para maging cost effective. Kung sabagay may anti-rust/corrode solution sigurado si Architect nyan
Maybe it can take 2-3 years. Could be earlier or longer depending on how many people you’re willing to hire to work on it I guess. Maybe Oliver can recommend a good contractor.

Wil, Mt. Everest will be a dangerous climb. Even with your guides, expect the unexpectable. You can always give up, reaching the summit is very tricky. Praying that you guys safe in this journey!
Ang saya sa side ng architect kung maeexecute yan lahat. Usually marami pang maiislash jan as it progress. I love everything except for it having 2 pools, mahal ng maintenance. Pero parang ang ganda ng placement ang hirap magdecide kung alin ang aalisin. Sige na nga dalawa na!!!😂😂😂

We are building a house right now. The problems we faced are
Passing the permits
Delivery of materials and appliances, etc
The contractor working on different projects so that delay on building our house, he only has one sub-con to work on our house or on his other project.
We have plumbing and airducts issues(design flaws)
We also keep changing the house plan(you gotta make sure, you are 100% sure on your design and plan) Its better, if you know what you want and remove what you dont want before ground breaking(To save time and money)
but im sure, youll be fine because you have an Architect. We Engineer, house Designer and a G. Contractor. Which is fine but its 100% good if you have an Architect. We learn a lot after we started because it causes a lot of issues.

Please make sure that there are no short cuts espesially with the structural aspect and foundation. Have soil testing done first to make sure that the land ur bldg ur house on is stable. Take note, sea air corrodes steel. Glass walls may have a magnifying glass effect-mainit ung bahay thus needing more aircon use. Consider solar panels. Is the house secure from burglars or intruders? Does it have a fire protection system? What about protection in case of super typhoons & floods? Can the glass panels withstand Signal # 4 or 5 category typhoons? What about a generator in case of power failure? Emergency lights in strategic spots. Finally i hope the house maintenance doesnt cost too much and doesnt require many househelpers.
This is so true. Solar panels might actually save you from high electricity bill, but that’s a different story.
It might take more than a year/s to construct that modern mansion and it depends on the budget and manpower. For costing: labor and materials in the market of today are getting more and more expensive each year, so it's okay to still be practical even a bit. Yung RBG color lights pa lang high quality na. I'd also recommend dimmable lights for lumen control in some areas of your house. Okay na rin siguro ang LED pin lights sa area na hindi masyado kailangan ng setting. One more thing, certain types of WOOD are not that feasible to use for coastal beach houses due to freeze-thaw cycles, but you can use wooden-looking tiles or PVC for the floor/wall finishes. Si Architect na ang bahala jan. 😁👍
On top of this, you should expect the a high cost of building permit and other legal stuff. You can talk to the Engr. about it privately. 🤓
In most cases, you will be provided a construction timeline before it starts. The engineer is responsible for that. You can also opt to suggest to add manpower if you feel like you might want it to be done faster which will result to added labor cost. However, please expect delays due to pandemic (ugh. never ending pandemic) and/or bad weather conditions.
Last but not the least, if ever you wanted to modify the given layout of the house, please be very vocal about it so you won't regret anything in the future. Like if you want a certain room to be resized and whatnot realistic demand, just tell your Architect before construction starts. All your preferences matter. 😊
if you have an architect like lodicake oliver, wala ka magiging problema dyan, basta you have the budget.. smooth yan lahat.. excited kami makita ung outcome nyan.. aabangan namin yan.. galing!

wow that matsong (mansion) is a literal stunningly beautiful maze! i dont think there will be many problems in building your love nest with alodia if you have lots of money in which i think you have naman haha. cant wait for the finished house. alodia's walk in closet and gaming room is a D-R-E-A-M! i wanna have that too!

Super ganda ng design all the specs you asked were there omg!!! Very innovative so modern and so techie with a touch of serene japanese zen style.🥰🥰🥰
What an incredible house on a higher ground by the sea with incredible view. May God reign in this house protecting all its occupants from any harm and make them strong and healthy.

That was a good design of Arch. Llyan Oliver. Sobrang galing talaga. But there's some part I want to change if I will be the owner. (Note: I'm not an Architect :P)
1. Remove the lap pool in the 1st basement and retain the infinity pool. Reason: Maintaining 2 pools are too much.
2. Put a glass door on the black-themed gaming /streaming room to avoid hearing noises in case the cyclorama wall is also being used simultaneously.
3. Too many spaces can transform into guest rooms or future kid's rooms. I think there is only 1 guest room (correct me if I'm wrong) and for me, it's not enough when you have this kind of big house since there's a chance that your relatives may also stay there for a vacation.
4. Bigger bathtub (but I know that's just an example design) and include a private jacuzzi.
5. Also, is there another way to enter the Podcast studio other than the gaming studio?
1 whole hse for Alodia closet lang 😅.

Since we’ve all seen this Part 2 Mantsong house tour we are all excited for your reactions though sadly Alodia is not with you, anyways your reactions are amazingly so excited, you sparkle and can’t even believe what you see. A dream house come true if this house is built for you guys. So happy for you. Arch Oliver has done a great job on designing this mantsong.Regarding for opinions on building a house I think your BFF Nico is building there house right now at south of Manila .maybe you can ask him. Well since you’re starting your trek to Mt. with a good contractor it will take at least a year..... specially right now since most of the custom materials can be build in the factory na then deliver nalang sa area for installation.. this can be build parts by parts parang lego nalang... medyo matagal lang po siguro jan is landscaping....

Looking on this house makes me wonder on the AC cost, & curtains. Since it is mostly made with glass windows almost around the house plus the weather condition & humidity in the Philippines, it will probably be so hot inside the house. I hope they will consider to have a sustainable house design too 😊 for it it will be practical & will save them from expensive electricity bill

Grabe ang ganda!! I'm so proud of you Will. Dapat talaga maginvest sa sarili nyong bahay kesa sa mga condos. Its all you kasi. Kumbaga personality mo lahat. That's who you are and its your own sanctuary. Ganern! Ang konti ko lang nakita is yung main high wall staircase (for droning) is not child friendly/pet friendly/accident prone baka malaglag talaga. Tapos yung seaside area ofc they will check everything to make sure its stable and safe pero since they are glass make sure na it can withstand heavy storms esp if andami nyong puno baka humampas. Bahain rin yung loob if maabot yung infinity pool nyo ng malakas na monsoon so hopefully flood proof yung inner lot / hiwalay sya sa ground ng pools. ✌

You only need ground floor house.. because you dont wanna go walk the stair when you are old.. also small because you dont wanna clean a big house... but the lot is big for big garden, parking lot, swimming pool, backyard and outdoor cook out for parties.. I learned this from my grandparents, you will save tons of money doing this and its more parang mayaman kasi laki ng lot size.
Ang bagsik ni sir Oliver. For sure dani syang makukuha na project after this. Very modern and out of this world ung idea nya haha.
Problems they may face for building that mansion (in my opinion as an engineering student):
1. Finances - the features of the house are really great but ik those designs are quite expensive from building the house alone to furniture and to gadgets needed for the house. Plus it is a big house so you guys should consider to put other sources of electricity like installing solar panels and such
2. Supplier for the furniture and other needs of the house (for pool, gym, gadgets, lights,etc) - yeah well it is easy to design but it is indeed hard to find things u've imagined. Pag ganon, there are high chances that most of the things u guys need will be customized (especially the shaped screens for the gaming room)
3. Maintenance and or cleaning the house (HAHAHA) - Given it that it is quite big well u guys need a lot of helpers for it to be cleaned. Plus the fact that it is quite hard to maintain a pool and u guys have 2 pa hahaha
overall, all though u guys may have a lot of probs that you guys might encounter on just building this house/beach side mansion, at the end of the day it is indeed great to have a really nice house like that. But consider everything muna lalo na yung finances bc that kind of mansion will really cost a lot kahit sa pag bili pa lang ng lupa what more with building the house. Ayun, these are all my perspectives lang naman haha

Problems will be pool and plant maintenance (if ang trabaho niyo laging wala sa bahay) bigger house means hard to clean o time consuming... If may anak kang pasaway that wall climbing wall can be use sa pagtakas...
They'll be needing a Cleaning Service crew to keep the house polished.
