思う理由はなんですか？
@@NJ.0722 ここのコメント欄で手短に説明するのでは理解を得るのに厳しいかもしれませんが、端的にいうと、黒人由来のヘアスタイルを黒人以外の人がすると、当事者（黒人/主にアフリカン・アメリカン）からの批判は逃れられません。（理由は歴史的な背景や構造的人種差別、文化の盗用など多岐に渡り、これもまた長くなるので省略します）
今までそうやって必ずコメント欄などで当事者からの指摘コメントが上がってきました。XGはブラックミュージックに多大な影響を受けているのに、その批判を無視することは、ブラックカルチャーのいいところ取りをして、当事者からの指摘は無視する、という構造になってしまいます。なので、どこかのタイミングでやめないと、有名になる過程で問題が大きくなるから、心配していました。
ちなみにこの問題で、「XGはブラックミュージックに影響を受け、ブラックミュージックが大好きだから真似していて、別に他意はない」等の理由は全く関係なく、むしろ、好きであればこそ、ブラックヘアについて、その背景や抱える問題など知るべきで、知っていく過程で、ブラックルーツがないのであればやるべきではないという結論にたどり着くと思います。それが「リスペクト」することなのかな、と思ったりします。
NYのHITCまではブラックヘアをやっていたのですが、それ以降多分やってなくて、おそらくですがそのへんで彼らにも当事者からの声がだいぶ届いていたのかなと推測します。

NYのジュリンちゃんのやつは最初tiktokで見たときは画質が粗かったのでドレッドかと思ったんですが、ちゃんと見たらただツイストしてるだけだったので問題ないと思ってました。まぁそう見えてしまうという意味で配慮がすこし足りなかったとは言えるかもしれませんが。

というのは当事者のALPHAZたちとも話したのですが、やはりXGがやる場合、インスピレーションはHIPHOPカルチャー/ブラックカルチャーであることは明白なので、ヘアも厳密なやり方とかは違うとしても、結局「ロックスっぽく見せたくて」やってることには変わりないので、というところで批判されるのかなと思います。

They choose a hard way to promote. Sometimes i feel bad the blatant disrespect XG gets in korea. But i think that is part of the hardships they already know from the beginning. Though in the KCON LA XG drew the biggest crowd out of all the groups during the Convention. Moreover, the set the stage on fire the day before during the kcon concert in crypto arena.

To be really honest, I do understand why some Korean people might take offense, as using the Korean music industry to gain global recognition could be seen as a form of cultural appropriation (I'm aware Simon is half Korean and an ex-idol). However, they've consistently given their best effort (e.g., living in Korea and putting in hard work to learn the language and fit into the culture). So, I agree with you. They were aware of this dynamic from the beginning and made their best efforts to respect K-pop.
@@FabfiveTokyo but honestly they are even in the same market… there is not single korean word or any relating to korean culture in any of their main releases… and every single show award or any form of korean music awards xg is getting snubbed to every single one. Not even a nomination. I dnt think it’s cultural appropriation because kpop is not a novelty but an innovation. Mixing rap and pop in a song which both genre originates in the west. Americans never called kpop as cultural appropriation. And the problem with CA is the question of definition and where u draw the line. I think it lines more on the political and historical issue.

Exactly. That's probably why it's being brought up as an issue. Despite being a Japanese group, they don't use Japanese platforms at all and mainly appear on Korean music shows, even though they aren't singing in Korean.
I've heard that they've been criticized, suggesting that if they want to be active as a girl band, they might be using the K-pop platform as a stepping stone to quickly gather global attention, given that the K-pop platform can attract significant worldwide interest.
It's likely that due to such criticisms, Simon might have issued a statement discussing his background and emphasizing "not K-pop, not J-pop, but X-pop" in an attempt to deflect the criticism and avoid any attacks.
However, what I think is that back when K-pop wasn't as mainstream as it is now, many K-pop artists came to Japan, appeared on Japanese music shows, and sang a lot of songs in Japanese to earn money. So, I think it goes both ways. That's why I don't pay too much attention to those critical opinions from Korea.

A lot of reactors are pointing out that the song is repetitive and that they actually don't show what "new dance" XG learned, but you're one of the only ones to articulate that the point of the song is the new dance can be anything from anyone, and that the point is just to have fun. I got emotional watching you be emotional and feeling like XG is taking us to more inclusive and heartwarming places, intentional or not.
