Nice. Been meaning to try something like this. At the moment working on a custom keyboard using my iPad as the keyboard via the Mira app to talk to Max, then essentially create a microtonal keyboard.
nice. if you like EDO-s, I recommend checking out regular temperament theory, it is something like circle of fifths in 12edo (repeating every seventh note in a 12 note period and getting a musical scale) , but for other EDOs too (for instance, repeating every 9th note in a 31 note period and getting the strange mohajira scale).
Also solid, pop "expr $f3 * pow(2,($f1-$f4)/$f2)" into an object box. Inlet 1 is the midi note you play, inlet 2 is the chosen EDO, inlet 3 is the reference frequency in hz and inlet 4 is the midi note reference integer. One stop microtonal shop. Works for signal as well with the expr object in Gen~, but be sure to use in1, in2, etc instead of $i1, $i2, etc since it has subtly different syntax for handling inputs (because gen~ is its own specific mindfuck).

Sounds really interesting, will definitely check it out!

Can we create custom EDO's in max, input midi via keyboard and at the same time send microtuned midi to a DAW while still playing?
That should be possible, you need to send a pitch bend message with the midi note.
@@HearingGlass I see what max object should I use for this scenario? there is no object to send midi to pitchbend message
would you be open to re-uploading the patch? the link is not working
Sure, should work now!
