Those of you complaining about the long work hours seems you haven't completed such a long undertaking to feel the level of satisfaction and accomplishment the artist feels. Heartily congrats to mr. Dascanio.
TSofK thank you :)
Yeah, but this is not art, it’s just pure skills
@@porcodiomede1094 I- yo-
R Z Using pencils to draw doesn’t directly create art.
Art is something more complicated.
As Schopenhauer said, art is about the idea you want describe, not only the skills you use to do it.
Skills can be learned by everyone, it’s literally just studying and practicing, while being an artist can’t be learned, you are born that way.
Porco Diomede someone might be born a great artist but you have to learn, this man easily had to struggle to learn these incredible skills. It would have been hard but you are not just born with great talent, you have to build on it to better yourself. As you said yourself art can be anything form writing to playing a games of football. Using a pencil to create something is art too, having to plan your drawing is a part of art, the mood boards to create a certain theme like pencil drawings and shading. Then the final piece, the thing everything led up to. It could have been months worth of planning to create such an amazing price of work. All of that is an art in itself!
The utter dedication to complete something so intense and amazing... this is absolutely brilliant.
Samantha Jacobs thanks! :)
Sam check out jon dry. I promise you wont be dissapointed
Just awesome
Dedication?
I’m pretty sure your a kid who just watched Jono Dry make a realistic drawing then just told him because he draw too
The amount of detail just blows my mind, amazing.
Seriously. I don't think I see that well to begin with lol
Ah! He just made me realize that why most people fail to produce anything in life, "its because we don't put so much effort!"
uhh, you forgot something vital... not effort but maybe only one person in 10 million has the potential to draw this well
scribble r At one point in time; this man couldn’t even draw a circle. Anybody can learn how to draw and even come close to this level of art. This is the result of decades of practice, failure, revision, and passion.
what is the purpose of drawing something that a camera can do in seconds with more precision?
@@axelpedrozo2919 Why are you here ?? Do you think any photograph clicked by you would have more value than work of Leonardo da Vinci ??? 😂😂😂😂😂 Have you even passed your grad ??
@@scribbler3894 That's what most people do, what you're doing, you just don't realise that everything is about effort, no body is born with these talents🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ anyway keep barking
If i smudge my finger on that, i can make a line around the world 4 times
when yo come back around for the second time hell be there waiting for you
Best thing about being an artist is to finally see what you have made and think that was totally worth it
300 meditative hours of a true master-tier creation. The chiaroscuro lighting, especially on the beard and on his crown is brilliant. Beautiful.
I just don’t know what to say, this is so much dedication and love. Hours and hours of practice, respect!!✌🏻
I can't believe... How can anybody make such a realistic and life like portrait....its masterpiece
Then you realise you forgot to press record
The Phenomenal *Dude* but 300 hours means it took many days and sittings. So that can be anyhow checked without missing much
t'was merely a joke, master saleem

Breathtakingly beautiful! A human endeavor that touches perfection. Thank you.
i feel satisfied watching this...how much satisfaction the artist must have felt himself when he was making it and completed it. i used the word satisfaction as i didnt get any other to actually define the feeling. i feel the same when i look back at my work too. its something like calming, as if world slowed down....or paused
THEE HIGHEST LEVEL OF DRAWING. Absolutely spellbound.

speaks master, I am lover of realism and I learned about his drawings through a Brazilian artist well known here in Brazil called Charles Laveso. Actually his drawings impress by the great realism. A big hug from Brazil
The music and art mix in such an interesting way, you sir have taught me a great lesson of life, one brush stroke might not make sense but follow the pattern patiently until the bigger picture emerges

beyond just drawing , true greatness !!
Breath-taking. Such a profound work of art; it tells so much. Every hour put into this was a piece of yourself laid on the canvas.
AMAZING! BEAUTIFUL!
You must be proud of your work because the detail and skill and passion shines through.
It was a privilege to watch this video. The work is stunning!
Man! You have a big passion for the details.Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic job!!!

300 hours ...Lot's of patience ...great esprit ...Good Bless you ...
300 working hours!!! wow besides the skills needed that much patience simply amazes me, I myself draw but i want it to be finished immediately I guess that's why my work is nowhere near this masterpiece haha. MAGNIFICO!!!
Wow!! I am so impressed!! You make that look effortless! You are a true talent!!
You, sir, are immensely talented!
Keep up the great work.
thanks!!
:)
Emanuele Dascanio you're welcome! :-)
The 1st mistake we'll do....that we'll ignore what's in the title of this video and will try to sketch this in 30 minutes.
DEDICATION,TIME, *PRACTICE*
You probably could do something on a similar level in like 10 hours* if you took the opposite approach to what was done in this video. Draw on a black piece of paper using white charcoal instead of black charcoal on white paper. As somebody that likes drawing realistic portraits such as the one in the video, I can tell you that like 2/3 of the time spent on this was probably just filling those huge portions of black and really dark space. It's very difficult to cover such a large area of dark space without leaving some obvious marks or patches of uneven shading. I congratulate this guy on his patience, I would've given up like an hour into making that background.
*edit: 10 hours as a moderately skilled artist. You won't be matching something like this in any less time than what it took him, if the extent of your drawing ability is drawing stickmen.
@@moldypotato4656 correct bro 🤣

wauuu, this is absolutely brilliant......kjo është diqka e paparë , shumë, shumë Briliante
I can't understand how a person can make something like that. You're the definition of art bro, hands down!
All he did was draw a person. It’s not that big deal most artists already draw persons
@@dinosharttt why are you being so jealous🙄

Absolutely awesome!!!!!!
WOW! Really Amazing!
Amazing talent!!
OMG that's really impressive :) I hope to have such skills one day
zweistift just draw 12 - 14 hours everyday if you want to be as good as him.
dude, it's not about how much time you spent when you're really good
and it's always needed ''self-awareness'' , you don't mimic other, or act like other
what you need to do is find your path , seek for style , seek for your soul in art
what's modern people losing is they're always been told : ''Do you want to be good as me ?''
but what you should know is you need to breakthrough out of your ''vanished/ a cage that can't be seen''
CC C that's buetiful
@CC C => yeah... that's what people say when they can't do what Mr Dascnaio does ;)
pff... my printer can do it in about 5 seconds...
Wow you make my realistic drawings look like cartoons. This is godly level
So inspiring, great job!

you sir are a true god clothed in human skin, amazing work . we love you
Thank you!!
simon mathenge thank you very much :)
People keep asking what's the point of drawing so long the same picture. The answer is the same as in what's the point of life: just the sake of it. Gosh so many thes.
Laamalaan he's just a printer. He pick an high resolution image and then copy. The people complains because the "art" is not art. That work has no soul or meaning. I just a see a old man with long beard. If the man wasn't a real man or the image was created by Emanuele with a little bit of creativity and originality then the art was art
Emanuele Barrovecchio go and wach picaso or some car crash test...it s the same anyway.. don t' waste your time here..
I'm not saying that there's any way to do something that, objectively, has some "meaning" to it. Like you say, anything you do is just for the sake of it. But I think it's much more creative and worth investing your time in creating something new, rather than just make an exact copy of an already existing image...
Dramawind I understand your point of view
. But he was the one who choose his models, spend time with them.. he created these photos of them, because it is impossible for someone to sit and pose for 12 hrs for month or two..
The only rule of art is it has no rules. So why copying is not art? Who told you that?
Amazing talent, well done 👍🏼😊
the detail in the hair is absolutely shocking. i didn't know there was someone out there with that level of mind blowing skills.
amazingly impresive MASTER
