- This is a very special portrait to me because for the first time I took the reference by myself and it made a big difference to me. Not only because I had many more details to work with but also because it is MINE and creating something unique is very important to me.
I immediately felt a deeper connection with it and more freedom than ever.
I did not care how long it would take, I just enjoyed the experience, and without realizing it I ended up working on it for 430 hours.
I learned soo much from it and look forward to my next piece.

I admire your skills and patience. I do portraits in airbrush and i just cant get myself to spend so much time on one peace. but when i look at this i think i should, and practice a lot more. this is just awesome

I draw as a hobbyist myself, with graphite pencils on A3 paper. Portraits are my favorite subject and I also aim for realism, at least I'd like to achieve it one day. The longest time I have taken for one drawing is probably in the range of 15-20 hours over the course of about 12 days. I am stunned with the fact that you spent 430 hours for this drawing :D Right now I don't know how I would use 430 hours, it takes so much patience. Congrats, this is fabulous!

It should not matter what paper or pencil you use, as anything you can do with all your profession supplies, I can match with common paper & a #2 pencil.

I would love to see a video showing your supplies, this is truly incredible. I use graphite and have experimented with charcoal but still was unable to get a black that breath taking. Your details are impeccable! The music, the real time footage, this entire video is just jaw dropping.

Stunning work! Great decision to use your own reference work. Deepening your relationship to both the subject and the art. If I was to add any suggestion, it would be to explore the subject matter further, and see where you can take it. That would elevate your work even more, because technically your work is incredible. If you explore a style / subject matter that is ownable, your work will stand out much more :) Congrats again on an incredible achievement!

This is absolutely INSANE! There are a way too many people like me, who spend hundreds of hours playing absolutely useless video-games, while only a VERY few, VERY talented and ambitious people like you create these literal MASTERPIECES within the same time-frame of our limited lives on this planet!
I mean, even the video-editing and the choice/use of music is nothing short of PERFECT!
And yet an idiot like me with basically 0 subscribers can get about the same amount of views within the same amount of time for a silly, little gameplay-video. ^^
I think this is very telling about the current world we live in... A world where the term "art" becomes more and more arbitrary and distorted and where most people tend to chase after their primitive desires instead of channeling their energy into something truly meaningful...
Anyway, you've just started making these videos a year ago, so I'm convinced you'll have AT LEAST 100,000 subscribers in just a few years easily, if you keep up the great work! (:
