the rebel xsi is awesome, my family got it as my first dslr for my classes in photography, good starter and easy to use. ive got a 10-22mm, the standard 18-55mm and a 55-250mm zoom lense. im now looking to get a fish eye or 300/400 zoom for starting sports photography. amazing camera!

@footballlover1dl - It depends on what mode you are using, but they are used to change the Shutter Speed and Aperture (which is the opening of the lens). I would highly recommend my Crash Course DVD on the XSi, you have spent a lot of money on the camera, this course will get you up to speed in no time. Best wishes! M

Correct- Which is why I didn't cover it on this video (but I have covered it on other videos since). It will help you to see if it is in focus better, but ya, this button doesn't effect the actual picture.
i think the print bridge is a great feature you may not have a computer in front of you and a printer that doesnt have a card reader slot and still be able to use your camera as a printer controller
canon eos 450d can also records video using eos camera movie record software...u can download the software easily nowadays...but if u want to record a movie or something...u shud connect the usb cable to ur pc/notebook first...i've tried it b4 n it works well for me...

I have the rebel XS and I just took a couple of practice shots but i cant seem to find the pictures I took anywhere and i know I took them because i have flash on and it flashed..

@MichaelTheMentor i dont know why d500 video mode stops automatically,it only records in few seconds,it wasnt like that before. When i use it on video before it stop it has this metering thing appears on the screen signalling that its going to stop,please i need help!
You will need to know the names of the buttons and what they do before you can change them and this is what the video does. Focus on the concepts and principles not "settings" and you will be much better off as each situation is different. It isn't practical to try to tell you what your exact settings should be. When in doubt, take a shot, look at it, & try to improve it.
This is really good - BUT - for a beginner I am looking for something like this........NOW WE ARE GOING TO TAKE A PHOTO OF A TREE (OUTSIDE) THIS IS WHAT YOU SET YOUR CAMERA TO....???FOR WB???, ISO???, aav?? AND ON AND ON . This is what Im looking for that way I can get a good idea of whats what. Its so frustrating watching a video and starting at step 7 skipping to step 9 etc etc - someone please help! I pissed off with my camera!

Its the diopter adjustment- allows you to change the focus of the viewfinder if you were glasses

yes, get an Extreme III Sandisk Card they write very fast- I like the 2GB or 4GB version.
You are very welcome. The Canon Rebel XSi DVD Crash Course has over 3 hours of these types of lessons, you would find it very helpful.
Diopter Adjustment. Its the focus of the glass in the viewfinder.
