Just wanted to reach out and say thanks again for the help and advice at the show today. I spent the last hour in the tree with the retrograde and couldn’t be happier. It’s definitely a perfect fit for a saddle guy on long all day sits.
I've used this stand to saddle hunt. I ascend with my ultimate one stick and then set this next to the platform of the one stick. I hate weak side shots with a one stick and this XOP platform is light enough to carry with my bag and gives me ability to turn and have 360 shots. To answer your question you could use it as a kneepad. You would have mount the pad on the underside of the seat and keep it in the up position.
@@TheSouthernObsessionI think making it abroad and it being heavier than a .5 is his point. Not sure why they couldn’t get this tiny thing below 5 pounds. Don’t need to hold 350 lbs anyway.
@ukjw2 I guess you don't have a Facebook because you would see wh 350lbs hold is meant for lol. There some big dudes getting around in mobile gang. I mean it's within the same weight and 2inch wide difference as a .5 but we are talking about more than a $100 difference and 2 stands that are built totally different. That's the exact reason I made my comment of comparing it to their vanish stand that sells for little over $200. You can't tell me the difference between what they built with the vanish is only $50 worth of an upgrade to how they built the retrograde. (This is coming from someone who owns and runs a .5)
Deffently over priced yea it's light weight but it's ridiculously small and saddle hunters are saddle hunters for a reason plate forms are half the weight of this stand they need to drop the price it's selling for new factor but sales will die down I think the vanish is better then this I have both btw

@@enddockboyoutdoors748 hey man I enjoyed it! Thanks for coming by!
Had no idea they were having a huge sale, and the code saved me even more. Appreciate ya buddy!
@@bluecollarbucks9566 yes sir thank you!
For pros....see the cons. I like it. Just found your channel and watched your cold world review. Come back to watch this. Went on and subbed.
Thank you!
This stand paired with gen 3 sticks or the new latitude carbon composite sticks would be a super light set up
Seen it at great American outdoor show. Looks awesome, might have to get. Saddle hunter myself, perfect hybrid setup
I completely agree!
Great review
Thank you

@@HouseBladeDesign that code will keep a little money in your pocket!
Just a FYI XOP is running a HUGE sell on this stand clans code OnYourOwn15 still works with the sell!
You can always add some skateboard grip tape to your stand for more grip
I think I’m ditching the saddle and going this route now. Stand weight is the reason I went to the saddle to begin with.
That code will save you some money!
I’ve been running this stand all season and I love it!
Have you flipped the seat down to use as a kneepad when saddle hunting? Was wondering if it would work in that application
I have not tried that

Any straps come with that thing?
Are you running saddles at all? I feel like this is better than a saddle.
I run a climber / 2 different lockons and two different saddle… I know that sounds excessive but they are all really good in their own situation
@@CliftonDenneyOnYourOwnOutdoors for sure brotha
IF YOU DO ANOTHER VIDEO, CAN YOU DEMONSTRATE SIDE PRESSURE FOR US SADDLE HUNTERS , THANKS BUDDY.
What climber do you use?? Smallest made ??

@@outdoorswithdad3680 which one do you have!?
I just don’t see $400 in it! 🤦🏻♂️ $275 would be reasonable imo not a penny more!
You think there is only $50 worth of upgrades from their cast stand Vanish to the new retrograde!?
