    I bought it when it went for $14.99 I liked it so much I went to get it again and to my delight it was going for $11.99 I love the smell, the shine is lasting and my place rains a lot and after the rain it easily cleans with a quick wipe down and still shines! Tysm for your review you have definitely influenced..

    Zip Wax from the early 90's was great and had great lubricity... which is the key. Don't sleep on the new Turtle Wax products. They're designed pretty well and won't hurt the pocket. I like them for cleaning purposes.

    Enjoy your videos Josh. Last year my local Costco in Colorado had a closeout price on the Turtle Wax Green Apple soap for $2.88 per gallon. I bought 4 which will last me a long time and if it happens again this fall I'll buy more.😁

    My opinion, I don't like the super dry, thick foam. I like it a little on the wet side, as it tends to break down those bonded contaminants and run off. Everyone is different in that regard though. And when it comes to shampoo's as long as it's slick I'll buy the cheapest stuff I can get. It's soap, not some space aged technology. You're doing a contact wash anyways, it doesn't need to be expensive, just needs to provide lubricity. That being said I don't prefer wash'n'wax products. I'll go around with a spray on topper after a wash, takes a couple minutes, much better.

      I respect that, honestly I like thick foam that’s not dry and not too runny, a good medium

      You’ll probably like Pearl from P&S. Its very runny, affordable $20-25 for a gallon, very lubricating, and great scent.

      Thats a very fair point! I like the longer dwell time of the thicker foam, BUT many of the higher PH soaps like stuff from Bilt Hamber works amazing but is quite runny.

      @@rusty.diamond I've been using the Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II for like $18 a gallon. Super foamy, super slick, dwells for a long time, and it's cheap.

    Tide 10x to strip wash. Clay bar and then wash with this. Then nu finish then turtle wax ice seal n shine to top it off. Once a year. Then use this turtle wax soap as a regular wash whenever i feel like it so proly 20-34 times a year. My cars are 10 years old. Look new. The secret is just buy a bunch of wash mits. New panel new mit. You scratch it when you wash it.

      Yea this one and the ones from years past may just be a re0 labeled product exclusive for Costco cause i can never find this anywhere else. I dont know that for sure, but it makes sense that they would use a winner wash and wax that they already had and just change the color and scent

    Man, I just enjoy me a joshv video at this point. Good vid tho I am using 3D's new ceramic wash & protect right now on a car coated with the gtechniq csl+exo combo 1-2 years ago and a car that has no coating/surface protection. It protects well and leaves some hydrophobics for maybe 1-1.5 weeks, but its doing really well at extending the life of the coating on the coated vehicle. Its like the coating is refreshed (because its really a different layer) everytime I wash. But you don't notice when that temporary layer breaks down & the gtechniq comes back to the surface because they are both ceramic in nature & wayer reacts the same. So on a car that has a protection layer of the same type (polymer, carnuba, ceramic) I think these products really excel at extending the life of those base layers due to the similar chemistry. They save you the step of applying a temporary wipe-off surface protection at the end of each wash.

  • @putrid2529
    @putrid2529 9 місяців тому +2

    Dont really understand the sentiment of not using a product like this on top of a ceramic coating. If water and weather reacts to this before the coating and until it breaks down, whouldnt the coating last longer?

    • @chrisgorgol9442
      @chrisgorgol9442 8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah that's slightly true. But this masks the beautiful benefit's of the ceramic coating, so what's the point of it lasting longer if you don't actually get the contact angles, slickness and shine

  • @loudefonzo7106

    I bought this at Costco last weekend. I washed my truck on Sunday. Monday morning we had some heavy misty fog. The paint and windows have all these spots. The spots on the windshield would not come off with the windshield washer/wiper combo. Tried using Invisible glass to clean the windows and most of the spots came off but not all of them came off. I applied the car wash using a wash mit/glove. Not sure what is going on, but I am considering bringing it back to Costco for a refund. Why is this product not on the Turtle Wax website?

    • @imjoshv
      @imjoshv  6 місяців тому

      Turtle Wax does exclusives for Costco. Its one of their normal products with a different color name... It sounds like a hard water issue causing the spots. At my home my water runs 350 ppm of total dissolved solids. If your not careful that will definitely leave water spots. As a tip always remember to wash out of direct sunlight and never on hot paint surfaces. The mineral deposits can harden on. The fog probably sat on them and highlighted that

    Not a big fan of wash and wax soaps. But hey, that opinion comes from experiences 3 decades back. I don't know why you have a problem with putting this over a ceramic product if as you say it doesn't last that long anyway. It's really more a soap and not a wax. And the idea with it IS to wash the vehicle. right?

    i don't know if it is just me or,.... I've tried foaming, or spray and wash with microfiber then rinse off. Neither way did this thing leave a coat of "slick" or "super slick" layer of polymer on my 3 cars. I don't think there is any "wax" effect after washing. I have also tried to spray on and then wipe off later >10 minutes, it didn't leave any wax feeling either. So go figure.
