I think that because of the throws plyometric nature they should be done in the same rep-scheme that for lower body, i'm not an expert but i think that maybe 3 sets of 3-6 is fine for that. Being carefull to not overdo the throws as well

Build a foundation of deaccleration, progress that for a month, Then build stabilization for core, stabilization in shoulder. Then after a month of progressing those stages. Then go into medicine ball tosses. You don’t want to injure your child. Build a foundation before doing this medicine ball work. But get him in the weight room as early as possible. First building a foundation of strength of the trunk, posterior & anterior chain, and upper body. Hope this helps. I wish I would’ve known this at a young age. You’re doing a good thing for him if he wants to be great in baseball.

First medicine ball ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxsg8rI-i6ePWRkhrp_UHScmUIKozMa9uU that I have ever owned. So far so good, it's very easy to hold on to with workouts I do with it, although I do wish though I would have ordered a heavier one, the ones at the gym I used to go to must have been overweight because this one felt pretty light compared to those that said they were also 8 pounds. Great product though, I love it and plan on keeping it for a while at least until I need a bigger one

Any suggestions when you don't have a wall available to throw into? Gym allows us to throw downward to the floor, but no space for sturdy walls.

Build one of these. I just built one myself to use for various sports. This video doesn't show you how to build it but there are other videos. I built mine slightly different than some of the vids but you need to build a 4x8 frame to screw the 4x8 plywood, and a 4x6 horse stall mat that is 3/4 inch thick to absorb the shock and protect whatever you throw at it. You don't want to throw things at it directly on the wood as it will damage your gear. If you plan on keeping it indoors, dont build it using 4x8 dimensions as it will be too tall for your ceilings if they are 8ft ceilings. did mine about 4x6 or 4x6.5. You will need to also buy 3 inch wood screws and wide enough washers to support the heavy stall mat. I think I went with 1inch washers made for screws with a small hole. Some glue the mat to the plywood but I didn't because that will be a pain if I ever have to replace the mat.

He says at the end of the video 4,6, or 8 lb ball. power is about speed so you dont need a heavy ball to get the desired effect.
