- Parippu Curry also called Dal Curry is an easy to prepare side dish usually served with Chappathi and rice. It is prepared by pressure cooking the Pigeon Pea and then seasoning it with Mustard seeds and Garlic. Friends, try this easy Kerala style Parippu curry recipe and please do post your feedback.

🧺 INGREDIENTS
Pigeon Pea (Toor Dal / തുവരപ്പരിപ്പ്) - 1 Cup (200 gm)
Onion (സവോള) - 1 No (100 gm)
Tomato (തക്കാളി) - 1 No (100 gm)
Green Chilli (പച്ചമുളക്) - 3 Nos
Salt (ഉപ്പ്) - 1½ Teaspoon
Turmeric Powder (മഞ്ഞള്‍പൊടി) - ¼ Teaspoon
Water (വെള്ളം) - 3 Cups
Cooking Oil (എണ്ണ) - 3 Tablespoons
Mustard Seeds (കടുക്) - ½ Teaspoon
Garlic (വെളുത്തുള്ളി) - 8 Cloves
Dry Red Chillies (ഉണക്കമുളക്) - 2 Nos
Shallots (ചെറിയ ഉള്ളി) - 6 Nos
Curry Leaves (കറിവേപ്പില) - 2 Sprigs

I do crack cumin seeds instead of mustard, and I add ginger also(small piece )…sautés all together(🍅🧅🌶🧄 lentils)then cooks, garnishing with coriander leaves …anyway I will try this too🙏
