I own a 2003 Marauder and did the rear cat delete. It added just a tiny bit of volume and is probably just what you need....then I think it will perfectly suit your car. Just tripped on your channel, nice to find a fellow Canadian Panther owner on UA-cam. Good video

I know I'm Late to the game But I just did the Walker Cat Back Swap from single to duals. I used the Walker Sound FX #21342 &3 Mufflers and found them to be Quieter Than the Mufflers you used. :( Sooooo It's either Headers or Cat Delete for me. The Performance Gain was Subtle, More seat of the pants than sound. I also tried a cheap Air box mod and changes the snorkel inlet to a Ghetto plastic cup. Again a tiny sound change at W.O.T. and small seat of the pants yield. My 2000 MGM GS is Still Quiet! I just want to walk that fine line between MPG and Performance.
Thank You So Much for the Great Videos! It gives me Hope! LOL!

I've always said, it's not one mod that you will see a major difference in, but several mods will work together. Exhaust, air intake, throttle body spacer, intake.... Where you se the biggest instant changes is a rear gear swap and or a tune.

I have my car in a body shop to fix a few small scratches and dents and picking it up tomorrow morning. Got the windows tinted and did a deep clean and now I’m pondering if I should put some mufflers on it or not? I don’t know, i’ll have to do a little bit more research and go from there. Ive got a '98 Vic, original exhaust was swiss cheese, so took the car to my local muffler shop.
The flanges for the rear cats were completely missing (rust / rotted away) so they got deleted.
The pipes were slightly upgraded from the original 1 - 3/4" (or is it 1 - 7/8"?) to a 2" stainless.
I got the same AP XLERATOR mufflers you did, which my shop guy said is basically a Magnaflow clone.
Also had a couple rolled edge chrome tips welded on, they extend a couple inches past the bumper, & I think they look much better than the stock downturns.
It sounds pretty sweet considering it's connected to a tired, 23 year old former squad car with 157K miles.

Too quiet. I put a single in single out flowmaster 40 on mine early last year and that just wasn't loud enough. You couldn't even tell it had exhaust unless you were in the car and floor boarding it. So I had the flowmaster chopped off and had it straight piped with just a single pipe. Sounds perfect! I dont like the drone on the interstate but i dont take it more than an hour away from home so it is tolerable for now. Might could use a resonator. But all of that to say, these modular Fords sound best straight piped!
