When did seasoning gas grills become a thing? I bought my Napoleon P500 14 years ago and there was nothing in the manual about seasoning the whole BBQ, just the cooking grates, which I did. Been working fine ever since.
That is like saying how long a tank of fuel lasts in your car... You mileage may vary... I can go a summer on a tank because the grill isn't used daily but I bet once you start cooking on one you may use it more than you think. I always have at least 3 tanks on hand at my house and when I get down to the last one being used I will get the other 2 refilled. You might be fine with at least 2 tanks but make sure you have at least 2 or the tank will run out at the most inopportune time, ask me how I know...
oh ok, i knew people seasoned there cast iron skillet, but i never did a grill and never had problems with any food sticking...weather its a new grill or old,, @@SDSBBQs
Its also good because they put a rust inhibitor on the materials so they don't rust when they are in the packaging. So your also burning that off as well...
ALL OF THESE COMMENTS RELATE TO A 30 LB PROPANE CYLINDER ....... I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES WITH A BURIED 100 GALLON TANK. A DESCRIPTION AND PICTURE OF THE PROPER CONFIGURAION WHEN USING A BURIED TANK WOULD BE MOST HELPFUL
It was very informative but I wanna know how he got 30k views and he didn’t worry about professionalism at all. He showed us his house wheeling it out and we learned he is a person that hoards things, then we realized he doesn’t check his supplies before he starts because he ran out of spray, then we learned he has a android from 2008 because it broke down. But besides all that his teaching was pretty cool😂
I put the needs of others before myself and took for granted that I'd have the things I needed. #SorryNotSorry Thanks for watching and your backward compliments
@@CharlieBrown064 LOL Right. I can't with some people. Give them something for free and yet they will still complain about something irrelevant. Thanks and have a great day!
Should probably instead of buying a new grill, higher someone to deep clean and organize your place, you have bigger issues then replacing a grill..but good video
Should probably not judge me for what you see as a fault and be appreciative that I am willing to be berated for the enjoyment of people like yourself. Thanks for watching and judging.
I appreciate your video….gave me a laugh watching you wheel it through the house …I had to do the same thing after putting mine together…
The front of the house has less steps and more assembly room, lol. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Got a brand new grill for the first time as an adult and I knew there was probably a process to getting it ready for grilling. Thanks for the video
Sure thing. Congrats and good luck!
You are very entertaining plus very knowledgeable on the subject of grilling with gas. Thanks!!!

I'm not sure but I am sure both methods work. But I imagine that difference in build quality over the years.
Very helpful. Just bought a new grill and I didnt wash off my grates before this process. Is that a problem?
No, that's why you heat it up for a while before adding the cooking spray. Even if you didn't, you'll be fine. Congratulations on the new grill!
Lol i just did the wheeling through the house yesterday. I got some rib eyes to christen the first bbq. Looking forward to it.
Thanks for the vid.
Nice, best of luck and happy cooking!
Never knew you could season a bbq😮 that makes a lot on sense so things don’t stick..thanks for this vid

I’m new to grilling, I did not season my grill and gave a lot of burnt stuff on it, can I season it since I’ve already cooked on it?
Once you clean it out seasoning the cooker will help it be easier to clean in the future.
@@SDSBBQs thank you for the info. I appreciate your videos

How much did you pay for members mark grill?
I'm not 100% sure but I believe it may have been close to 500ish dollars. I do believe I caught it on sale though so it may have been a little less.

ha ha too funny
PEBGAU (problem exists between grill and user)
Lol, I see what you did there 😏
Kick but season job, hope is a kick but grilling experience every time your wife and you use it
Thanks man! So far so good.
i never season, not sure why you even have to ' season a grill ' anyway, never had any problems.. and if food is sticking, your turning it too soon!
It's kinda like seasoning a cast iron skillet. It just make the food stick less in the long run.

I'd imagine you're going to need hoses and adapters to get from your tank to the grill. I'm not an expert in the tanks.

This is UA-cam not Corporate America. I didn’t realize professionalism was required when cleaning a grill. 🙄
