    THANK YOU for walking me through BBQ grill safety! I was so scared to start my grill because i thought it might blow up, i let it sit for YEARS too afraid to touch it. I never thought to turn the tank off first. I guess that helps to make sure there's no gas left in the line. And it will also tell you if your shut off on the tank is not working. I've read it is a good idea to disconnect the propane tank from the grill when it is stored for longer periods. Dont want a little kiddo playing adult and turning those colorful knobs. Thanks for the tips. I just bought my first propane grill. I learned some good safety tips.

    He has some good tips, but when it doesn't light, you air it out for 5 MINUTES.
    That is per the National Fire Protection Association.
    Also, use a grill 10 feet or more away from structures.
    He didn't check for leaks along the hose with the soap-water solution. That would be good to do!

    • @supergirl857dooms5
      @supergirl857dooms5 2 роки тому

      He did check! He brushed it with soap and water to check for bubbles.

      @@supergirl857dooms5 Yes, but I'm saying he was wrong to only specify the joints. A crack can happen anywhere in a hose!

    I just got my first gas grill to use in the fall and winter when it gets dark early. I want to get a 20 pounds tank with the hose but for now I am using the small 1 pound tanks. I know not to store them indoors. I am thinking of leaving them on the porch but they will be right next to the back door. I am wondering should I put them in a container and cover them? And drill holes for them to breathe incase they leak? The grill will be stored inside. Also we get a lot of snow and temperatures of below 0 degrees. I'm in Chicago. Thanks for the video.
