Actually id argue point Extraction is the best option. No need to backtrack, and Bosco can deal with all the aquarqs that are far away while you camp out near the minehead and get the easy aquarqs. Sometimes you can get screwed over by the machine event room hogging all the aquarqs, but that's DRG for you
I have found that not resupplying on 7 aquark point extraction missions is usually the best way to complete them in the first place, so I also agree with this comment.
This is how i got mine as well, except i used gunner and just hung on a Zipline when things got a bit crowded. I find that glacial strata tends to have the most open areas where you can see most, if not all, the aquarq deposit locations from a single room. Currently trying to get the 5 haz 5 missions in a row achievement using this strat, although the best I've gotten is only 3 in a row thus far
For an egg hunt you can actually sit in the drop pod as gunner, use the mole overclock for the Armskore Coil Gun to make a small tunnel to the eggs and have Bosco go and collect them

i started going on haz 5 for as much as possible just for the challenge and yes, it's really hard if you don't know what you're doing, but after awhile and a lot of optimization on your strategy and loadout you'll get the hang of it and make karl pretty damn proud, Rock and Stone miners
I have another idea, 4 gunners digging out all 4 eggs at the same time (try to find a good cave) dropping it to the mule and calling for droppod, then just use 16 power shields and done, it won't be done with the first try but sounds cool
I accidentally joined a game right as it was ending and got this, I pretty much showed up and walked onto the drop pod. I'm just glad Karl would of been proud of me for doing it.
Solo Point Extraction on Scout is THE best for this. Bonus points if its Sandblasted Corridors for easier digging and visibility, extra bonus points for Tunnel Rat beer. You only have to kil ranged enemies, the rest can be kited for a while, with a lucky seed and good management bosco can dig out more than half of the required Aquarqs. Sidequests are usually pretty easy as well, Fleas/Fossils/Ebonuts can be done after sending the rocket off.
I found this much easier solo and did it with ice driller on a morkite mission so I can go through rooms faster. I brought EPC and fast mining Bosco. Light in T3 can help too.
I got it by doing a 7 aqarq point extraction as scout. Just send bosco to get the crystals and stay close to the mine head to get the support from the turrets on it. I think if you’re fast enough / get good aqarq spawns you can even call the drop pod before the first swarm
I literally never get good aquarqs. I always have to grapple around as scout, though I do play on solo, though it still is hard to find the aquarqs, even with bosco.
I myself did this with a full squad of friends and would say aquarq is easier. Just let everyone go scout with as much pheromone as possible so pheromone grenades and pheromone crossbows then have everyone get a grappling hook with the fastest recharge speed and just don't kill anything and run
This achivement is really easy just do a point extraction 7 aquarqs and cheese it with Bosco, use the scout with Pheromone Bolts & Pheromone Grenades and just grapple await from any danger while bosco does everything.
I personally did it by speed running a point extract solo. Between Bosco and zipping around as a scout, I was heading back to the Space Rig less than 10 minutes after I landed. When your literal only concern is to get the primary objective done, you can get Point Extractions done really quick.
Personally I prefer egg hunts for these kinds of runs, because they give you more control over enemy spawns. I managed to do this one (or mabe it was one of my closest attempts im not sure anymore) with gunner on an egg hunt where i could ping all 4 eggs for Bosco from the starting cave, as well as a Betsy who was also far enough away for Bosco to solo her so I just had to zipline in during a safe moment to fix her up, she helped me save a ton of ammo. I spent most of my time in the mission on a zipline, because I was (/am) not good enough to reliably live through haz 5 missions yet. Similarly, for the 5 haz 5 in a row achievement, I'd recommend either short egg hunts or eliminations, personally I prefer the latter. Because while Dreadnaughts are scary, the fact that no other bugs will spawn during the fight means you again have a lot of control over enemy spawns, and a haz 5 swarm of grunts honestly scares me more than any dreadnaught.
I pulled this off last week by using a scout with the stun sweeper. any time I got swarmed I chucked it ran back and cleared out the bugs. was able to finish it using your tips. used my last one when running back for the drop pod. it was tough but I made it. so thanks for the tip.
did this with a bunch of randoms and in the chat told them what i was going for. they all rock and stoned....it was like we all flipped our dwarf john wick switches. no one over fired at bugs. i was gunner and would knock bugs down to low health and teammates would pick axe. its was the best game i ever played and to this day the one of few missions i will remember forever. idk where you guys are but rock and stone you made karl proud that day.
karl would be proud achievement is surprisingly easier to get than I thought. Solo haz5 as scout in Point Extraction (because co-op will always result in someone ordering a random supply pod). Pick up all aquarqs with bosco, while you dodge all glyphids and let the sentries slowly clear them for you. Hardest achievement for me, and still haven't got it, is drill-by shooting. You need all 4 players to stand on drilldozer and kill 15 enemies each without moving away from it while the drilldozer is moving. and EVERY TIME at least ONE player moves away from the drilldozer for no reason to chase faraway glyphids.
Salvage missions work too. I got it, even though I used the buried broken resupply pods when I needed ammo. It technically isn’t calling one down, and it worked
For bosco always run his electric rounds so he can slow down big targets if they appear, things like a bulk or even a nemesis will be slowed to s snail’s pace. It also just increases the dps because of electric damage
I did it with an aquark mission. Play solo as a scout and just grabble around the map avoiding enemies while instructing Bosco to dig out the aquarks for you. I think I got the achievement on my second try. I suppose you can do the same with an egg mission, but I prefer aquarks because everything is in one big open room so you're less likely to run into a tight corridor full of bugs.
got the achievement on my first try running scout on a mining mission. couple close calls, but its best to avoid everything and let bosco handle as much cleanup as possible so you can conserve ammo for necessary moments
You might be able to do this on a solo haz5 egg hunt mission as gunner with the armscore kitted for AoE. You just gotta make sure the pod doesn't leave the cave system, so stay inside it or on the ramp. All of the eggs also have to be in places where you can shoot them with the armscore without the pod leaving, so if that's not the case, just restart the mission. The whole gist of this tactic is that you use the armscore to drill holes to the eggs and then pinging down the holes to have bosco mine them out and carry them to you. When the swarms occur, just retreat the safety of the drop pod and shoot down the bugs, and hope that anything that can grab you from the pod doesn't spawn. If everything goes to plan, you should be able to get all of the eggs and put them inside the drop pod, and then call molly nearby so you can deposit the eggs, and then proceed to call it in and wait inside the initial pod while the escape one drops down, wait for molly to go into the escape pod, and then book it.
Tip based on my experience, playing as Scout with the Phermone canisters and a pheromone crossbow (Steve optional) gives a strange game where you can ignore the bugs for the majority of waves.
I managed to do this achievement using this advice. 200 morkite, beer, chose Scout. I was having trouble kiting the swarm, so I used a build utilizing an IFG and gas recycling OC on the Zhukov in a chokehold tunnel. Cleared an entire swarm in 20 seconds. Did the rest of the mission. Nearly had an heart attack when a stingtail spawned while waiting for Molly to open the drop pod. Truly got my blood pumping there.
In my experience getting the "Karl would be proud achievement solo" 4 eggs only mission can be the best option. If you're lucky, When the drop pod lands, an egg is infront of you. You can get bosco to do it while u can still sit in the drop pod (reduce damage taken buff) killing bugs. rest can be done easier if you get the eggs quickly with bosco and yourself.
Managed to find a group of randoms who were doing this. Low gravity, haz5, 10 aquarq sandblasted corridors mission. We did it in less than 6 minutes, then did it again to see if we could beat the time we got before, which we did by 16 seconds. Final time was 5:24. Absolutely wonderful mission, we all made sure to take screenshots of the run and i think one of them mentioned posting it on some site somewhere
I got this one easily by picking a 4 egg map with driller. You drill into the wall to each egg, never letting the tunnel connect to the rest of the cave. Waves will spawn, but can't figure out the pathing to get to you. Even if you do get some bugs in your tunnel, the limited space funnels the bugs into an easy kill zone. Took me 2 trys to get Haz 5 and first try for Haz 4 right after
Tip to make this 10 times easier to the end Play as engi, dig a bunker, maker sure the entrance is completely blocked from glyphids Hit button on Molly The drop pod detecting you can't reach the other parts of the cave will drop in the room your in aka next to you, Make sure you have enough room that it don't hit you and get on when it drops
My dwarf, neck deep in monster corpses, unloading his second to last magazine, no shields, no flares left, backpedaling to the drop pod: KARL WILL BE PROUD OF MEEEEEEE
I actually did point extraction as scout for this on account of having a large arena i can dance away from the bugs, not needing to wait for molly at the drop pod, and using pheromones to help kite
I did this as scout on an extraction, m1000 hoverclock to help evade bugs and pheremone crossbow to distract bugs, just get bosco to do most the digging and focus on surviving
4 egg is easiest if you get the swarm on the last egg. Either use scout and plan a route to hit all eggs quickly limited only by Molly's movement speed, or use driller to make a direct path from egg to egg, limited by high up eggs.
A more reliable way is to get a 7 Aquarq point extraction, go in as scout. Zip around and let Bosco get all the stones while the mining rig kills the bugs. All you have to do is tell Bosco which Aquarq to get and tell him to drop it when he is over the minig rig. Works like a charm
Try it before on Egg mission to get all the eggs at once, a whole swarm came 2 oppressors, 5 praetorians, a lot of grunts and powerful, spitters, and swarmers: for me it's HELL by yourself
heres a good one, pick scout, solo and go to an aquark mission, let bosco mine for you and the turrets kill the bugs after you and when you can zoom over to the mine rig and put in the aquarks, then when you're done you can just keep zooming around the map until the drop pod arrives
This achievement was surprisingly easy compaired to the absolute heart-pumping achievement, which requires to complete and win 5 hazard 5 missions in a row.
I got it with a friend with a really lucky Morkite Cave. And I think you can also do it with the blue Stones, Engineer and Scout, he went hunting for the further gems and I got the close ones, helping with platforms for the ones up the wall. Turrets help defending and then je gtfo when the timer stops and I pull some enemys away and maybe get in too. We did those 5 times for the 5 in a row and not always got some Nitra for a supply, if you're fast you really don't need one
I feel like 4 scout (or 3 scout, 1 engi) point extract would probably be the best method here. Most, if not all of the gems are going to be in a single room, and scouts will be able to reach them easily while kiting enemies.
This game is so cinematic like me and my friends are super new to the game, we got it yesterday, and we already have a video of three of us running into the escape pod frantically, cursing out the guy who insisted we do the secondary objective, and we realise one of us didn't make it. It's too late for them though and one of us goes "what about Kyle!? No dwarf left behind!" "No dwarf left behind is only 2 letters away from dwarf left behind"
My method was doing point extraction as scout. If you get lucky with terrain gen you can get it done really fast. In the most recent update they changed terrain gen for those missions so ifk if it would work any more
Low gravity solo extraction with aquarks works better imo. Large open area, bosco grabs the gems, you just have to keep moving for about 8 minutes total to finish
I get the achievement by accident. It was around this month but in 2021. I joined a hazard 5 mission with 3 japaneses, they were escaping to the drop pod and I just joined run with them and unlock the achievement
I think lowest complexity shortest aquark on scout solo is the easiest way to do this. There’s several very ammo efficient scout builds that are also very good, and generally scout doesn’t struggle too much on killing enemies in solo even on hazard 5 if the mission doesn’t drag on too long. Then you just speedrun it. Can probably get it done in 6-8 minutes without even killing a lot of the enemies
There is an easier method than you described. Simply run a short point extraction mission on haz 5 and play solo as scout. Focus only the aquarqs and get out. It takes max 10 minutes, plus you dont need to wait for molly for the drop pod to open. Hope this helps! Rock and stone!
I remember I got it with a group of random’s on a double exp haz5 mining mission. We were flying through them. We manage to do that mission 3 times before mission refresh. The shortest one was 7 minute haz5 mission completion. Was absolutely nuts how fast we went.
I did this the other day on an egg mission, one of the hardest things I did and found out aquarqs were much easier since you are given already a good area to run around as bosco, Steve and engineers turrets to continuously kill so over 20 tries on eggs and about 2 tries on aquarqs also please note I did this on an unpromoted level 16 engineer
I nearly had this done on point extraction, I had the lobby set to public and a random joined at the last second and fucking died to a bulk, I then told my friend I was playing with "this is why I keep it on private, back to private now."

At some point I started playing hazard 5 missions only. Sped up the process to getting tier 3 legendary promotion, which I got on the scout a long time ago. Also, once you start playing hazard 5 more frequently, you get used to the difficulty and it seems a lot more manageable. Probably about over 80% of the missions I’ve done are hazard 5. You guys can do it! And if you feel so obliged, you absolutely should for the bonus XP!
You can also solo scout a 7-aquarq point extract mission with bosco collecting all the aquarqs while you kite the bugs the whole time. I did that first try
I did this achievment solo through point extraction. Bosco was picking Aquarks, while I was running away from bugs with Scout’s grapling hook. Took a bit of practice and luck tho
If you have proper weapon choice across the team Haz 5 isn't that problematic imo. Luckily managed to get this first try in a 3-man. One Carpet Bomber Autocannon, one Lead Storm Minigun and a gunner. We chose a Point Extraction and the driller made some minor landscaping to give the turrets a better LoS + good spots for ziplines. Low cave complexity helped massively. Just about ran out of ammo at the end.
Easiest way to do it as a class is solo and playing as a driller. Let me explain why: 1. Driller has access to Cryo-Cannon which, with the proper overclock and upgrades becomes one of the strongest weapons in the game. A certain overclock (name escapes me currently, will edit once remembered) enhances freezing ability to such a degree that it’s almost laughable. Combine that with a weapon upgrade that can cause random frozen enemies to spontaneously explode, spreading the freezing to another target behind them or next to them and you’re basically looking at a wave of cryo-cooled destruction on any glyphid horde charging you. All you have to do is watch your pressure level as the cryo-cannon doesn’t have to worry about a clip only (ironically) overheating. 2. Playing solo lets you call in Bosco as a buddy who can easily grab eggs off walls and provides you with additional firepower. With certain upgrades, Bosco can be turned into a beast, especially since you don’t have to load him up with extra revives for yourself since you’re going for a no-death run. 3. The driller’s drills will quickly become your best friend even more so than the cryo-cannon as you can quickly create a bottle-neck to funnel enemies into and directly into the line of your cryo-cannon’s fire (snicker). The second Mission Control reports that a swarm is approaching, immediately high-tail it to a nearby wall and dig a zig-zag tunnel into it with almost snake-like turns. Make it as long as you can. The second Mission Control says that the swarm is upon you, post yourself at the entrance, firing as the swarm advances. Slowly fall back and maintain your fire, which should keep the enemy swarm at bay as you keep them at a distance. In this state, the only enemy that could theoretically ruin your day is a Bulk Detonator, which I never have had spawn on me while I was attempting this (it could happen, yes, but you should still have enough power left in your drills to keep it at a distance until the swarm is over.) 4. Once the swarm is over and you’ve gotten all of the eggs, call in the drop pod, return to your tunnel bunker and wait until you see where the drop pod is landing. Once you see it stop and the countdown begins, start tunneling yourself in that direction with your drills. Bosco should watch your back to the best of his ability but even so, take a look at your six often. Once you’re close to the drop pod, wait until the mule is docked and then drill your way out, not stopping for anything, and jump inside the drop pod. If done correctly, a solo level 5 mission should only take about 5-7 minutes depending on cave complexity. Good luck, miner, and ROCK AND STONE!

This is actually how I got mine too. Hopped in as a solo scout and did nothing but kite and fight only the most necessary enemies. Bosco was MVP

@@alexchang530 i suggest playing it in Glacial Strata. Hollow Bough aquarqs and other places is just horrible a lot of the time
Solo 4 egg with Scout is how I did it, and I spent most of the swarm grappling around avoiding bugs while Bosco dug out the eggs and kept me safe

For bosco always run his electric rounds so he can slow down big targets if they appear, things like a bulk or even a nemesis will be slowed to s snail’s pace. It also just increases the dps because of electric damage

I did it with an aquark mission. Play solo as a scout and just grabble around the map avoiding enemies while instructing Bosco to dig out the aquarks for you. I think I got the achievement on my second try. I suppose you can do the same with an egg mission, but I prefer aquarks because everything is in one big open room so you're less likely to run into a tight corridor full of bugs.

got the achievement on my first try running scout on a mining mission. couple close calls, but its best to avoid everything and let bosco handle as much cleanup as possible so you can conserve ammo for necessary moments
You might be able to do this on a solo haz5 egg hunt mission as gunner with the armscore kitted for AoE. You just gotta make sure the pod doesn't leave the cave system, so stay inside it or on the ramp. All of the eggs also have to be in places where you can shoot them with the armscore without the pod leaving, so if that's not the case, just restart the mission.
The whole gist of this tactic is that you use the armscore to drill holes to the eggs and then pinging down the holes to have bosco mine them out and carry them to you. When the swarms occur, just retreat the safety of the drop pod and shoot down the bugs, and hope that anything that can grab you from the pod doesn't spawn.
If everything goes to plan, you should be able to get all of the eggs and put them inside the drop pod, and then call molly nearby so you can deposit the eggs, and then proceed to call it in and wait inside the initial pod while the escape one drops down, wait for molly to go into the escape pod, and then book it.
Tip based on my experience, playing as Scout with the Phermone canisters and a pheromone crossbow (Steve optional) gives a strange game where you can ignore the bugs for the majority of waves.

I managed to do this achievement using this advice. 200 morkite, beer, chose Scout. I was having trouble kiting the swarm, so I used a build utilizing an IFG and gas recycling OC on the Zhukov in a chokehold tunnel. Cleared an entire swarm in 20 seconds. Did the rest of the mission. Nearly had an heart attack when a stingtail spawned while waiting for Molly to open the drop pod. Truly got my blood pumping there.

I recommend going 4 egg mission as driller, ignoring anything BUT the rocks you’ll mine through and the eggs you will collect
In my experience getting the "Karl would be proud achievement solo" 4 eggs only mission can be the best option. If you're lucky, When the drop pod lands, an egg is infront of you. You can get bosco to do it while u can still sit in the drop pod (reduce damage taken buff) killing bugs. rest can be done easier if you get the eggs quickly with bosco and yourself.
Managed to find a group of randoms who were doing this. Low gravity, haz5, 10 aquarq sandblasted corridors mission.
We did it in less than 6 minutes, then did it again to see if we could beat the time we got before, which we did by 16 seconds. Final time was 5:24.

I got this one easily by picking a 4 egg map with driller. You drill into the wall to each egg, never letting the tunnel connect to the rest of the cave. Waves will spawn, but can't figure out the pathing to get to you. Even if you do get some bugs in your tunnel, the limited space funnels the bugs into an easy kill zone. Took me 2 trys to get Haz 5 and first try for Haz 4 right after
Tip to make this 10 times easier to the end
Play as engi, dig a bunker, maker sure the entrance is completely blocked from glyphids

The drop pod detecting you can't reach the other parts of the cave will drop in the room your in aka next to you,
Make sure you have enough room that it don't hit you and get on when it drops

I actually did point extraction as scout for this on account of having a large arena i can dance away from the bugs, not needing to wait for molly at the drop pod, and using pheromones to help kite
I did this as scout on an extraction, m1000 hoverclock to help evade bugs and pheremone crossbow to distract bugs, just get bosco to do most the digging and focus on surviving
this is an achievement worth the assignment of level 5 hazard,getting it opened.
4 egg is easiest if you get the swarm on the last egg. Either use scout and plan a route to hit all eggs quickly limited only by Molly's movement speed, or use driller to make a direct path from egg to egg, limited by high up eggs.
I love that this boiled down to “If you want something done right, do it your damn self.”
A more reliable way is to get a 7 Aquarq point extraction, go in as scout. Zip around and let Bosco get all the stones while the mining rig kills the bugs. All you have to do is tell Bosco which Aquarq to get and tell him to drop it when he is over the minig rig. Works like a charm
And one further tip! If doing this solo, for take enhanced senses. Cave leeches were the biggest run killer for me.
Try it before on Egg mission to get all the eggs at once, a whole swarm came 2 oppressors, 5 praetorians, a lot of grunts and powerful, spitters, and swarmers: for me it's HELL by yourself
Point extraction as Scout is also a good way, let Bosco mine every objective and grapple around during swarms

heres a good one, pick scout, solo and go to an aquark mission, let bosco mine for you and the turrets kill the bugs after you and when you can zoom over to the mine rig and put in the aquarks, then when you're done you can just keep zooming around the map until the drop pod arrives
This achievement was surprisingly easy compaired to the absolute heart-pumping achievement, which requires to complete and win 5 hazard 5 missions in a row.
I got it with a friend with a really lucky Morkite Cave. And I think you can also do it with the blue Stones, Engineer and Scout, he went hunting for the further gems and I got the close ones, helping with platforms for the ones up the wall. Turrets help defending and then je gtfo when the timer stops and I pull some enemys away and maybe get in too. We did those 5 times for the 5 in a row and not always got some Nitra for a supply, if you're fast you really don't need one
I feel like 4 scout (or 3 scout, 1 engi) point extract would probably be the best method here. Most, if not all of the gems are going to be in a single room, and scouts will be able to reach them easily while kiting enemies.
This game is so cinematic like me and my friends are super new to the game, we got it yesterday, and we already have a video of three of us running into the escape pod frantically, cursing out the guy who insisted we do the secondary objective, and we realise one of us didn't make it. It's too late for them though and one of us goes "what about Kyle!? No dwarf left behind!" "No dwarf left behind is only 2 letters away from dwarf left behind"

My method was doing point extraction as scout. If you get lucky with terrain gen you can get it done really fast. In the most recent update they changed terrain gen for those missions so ifk if it would work any more

Low gravity solo extraction with aquarks works better imo. Large open area, bosco grabs the gems, you just have to keep moving for about 8 minutes total to finish
point extraction solo is good too , if you get a good start cave you can let bosco do everything
I got Car Pool two seasons ago, it's actually really easy if theres a glyphid spawn swarm happening on that map.
Don't forget to take off perks that focus on reviving or helping teammates
I get the achievement by accident. It was around this month but in 2021. I joined a hazard 5 mission with 3 japaneses, they were escaping to the drop pod and I just joined run with them and unlock the achievement

I think lowest complexity shortest aquark on scout solo is the easiest way to do this. There’s several very ammo efficient scout builds that are also very good, and generally scout doesn’t struggle too much on killing enemies in solo even on hazard 5 if the mission doesn’t drag on too long. Then you just speedrun it. Can probably get it done in 6-8 minutes without even killing a lot of the enemies

There is an easier method than you described. Simply run a short point extraction mission on haz 5 and play solo as scout. Focus only the aquarqs and get out. It takes max 10 minutes, plus you dont need to wait for molly for the drop pod to open. Hope this helps! Rock and stone!
I remember I got it with a group of random’s on a double exp haz5 mining mission. We were flying through them. We manage to do that mission 3 times before mission refresh. The shortest one was 7 minute haz5 mission completion. Was absolutely nuts how fast we went.
Point extraction with scout is also a really easy way to get it and is how I did on accident, Tbf there was low gravity
I did this the other day on an egg mission, one of the hardest things I did and found out aquarqs were much easier since you are given already a good area to run around as bosco, Steve and engineers turrets to continuously kill so over 20 tries on eggs and about 2 tries on aquarqs also please note I did this on an unpromoted level 16 engineer
7 aquarq extraction on scout in solo haz5 is basically free for this achievement

Another good way is to solo an aquark mission and let bosco get all the aquarks while you sit in the middle to collect and deposit them.

At some point I started playing hazard 5 missions only. Sped up the process to getting tier 3 legendary promotion, which I got on the scout a long time ago. Also, once you start playing hazard 5 more frequently, you get used to the difficulty and it seems a lot more manageable. Probably about over 80% of the missions I’ve done are hazard 5. You guys can do it! And if you feel so obliged, you absolutely should for the bonus XP!

You can also solo scout a 7-aquarq point extract mission with bosco collecting all the aquarqs while you kite the bugs the whole time. I did that first try

I did this achievment solo through point extraction. Bosco was picking Aquarks, while I was running away from bugs with Scout’s grapling hook. Took a bit of practice and luck tho
If you have proper weapon choice across the team Haz 5 isn't that problematic imo. Luckily managed to get this first try in a 3-man. One Carpet Bomber Autocannon, one Lead Storm Minigun and a gunner.
We chose a Point Extraction and the driller made some minor landscaping to give the turrets a better LoS + good spots for ziplines. Low cave complexity helped massively. Just about ran out of ammo at the end.
Easiest way to do it as a class is solo and playing as a driller. Let me explain why:
1. Driller has access to Cryo-Cannon which, with the proper overclock and upgrades becomes one of the strongest weapons in the game. A certain overclock (name escapes me currently, will edit once remembered) enhances freezing ability to such a degree that it’s almost laughable. Combine that with a weapon upgrade that can cause random frozen enemies to spontaneously explode, spreading the freezing to another target behind them or next to them and you’re basically looking at a wave of cryo-cooled destruction on any glyphid horde charging you. All you have to do is watch your pressure level as the cryo-cannon doesn’t have to worry about a clip only (ironically) overheating.
2. Playing solo lets you call in Bosco as a buddy who can easily grab eggs off walls and provides you with additional firepower. With certain upgrades, Bosco can be turned into a beast, especially since you don’t have to load him up with extra revives for yourself since you’re going for a no-death run.
3. The driller’s drills will quickly become your best friend even more so than the cryo-cannon as you can quickly create a bottle-neck to funnel enemies into and directly into the line of your cryo-cannon’s fire (snicker). The second Mission Control reports that a swarm is approaching, immediately high-tail it to a nearby wall and dig a zig-zag tunnel into it with almost snake-like turns. Make it as long as you can. The second Mission Control says that the swarm is upon you, post yourself at the entrance, firing as the swarm advances. Slowly fall back and maintain your fire, which should keep the enemy swarm at bay as you keep them at a distance. In this state, the only enemy that could theoretically ruin your day is a Bulk Detonator, which I never have had spawn on me while I was attempting this (it could happen, yes, but you should still have enough power left in your drills to keep it at a distance until the swarm is over.)
4. Once the swarm is over and you’ve gotten all of the eggs, call in the drop pod, return to your tunnel bunker and wait until you see where the drop pod is landing. Once you see it stop and the countdown begins, start tunneling yourself in that direction with your drills. Bosco should watch your back to the best of his ability but even so, take a look at your six often. Once you’re close to the drop pod, wait until the mule is docked and then drill your way out, not stopping for anything, and jump inside the drop pod.
If done correctly, a solo level 5 mission should only take about 5-7 minutes depending on cave complexity. Good luck, miner, and ROCK AND STONE!
I personally have had lots of success with point extraction with a full team of scouts moving very fast
Some advice if you see a simple mission with Cristal weakness take it you will still get the achievement
800 hours and I still didn't get the silicone ride achievement because I have only 1 friend, plying with me, even he is imaginary. Truly the hardest achievement
