im a scout and I die alot to fall damage, hover boots are very very good at saving

You can also use the sludge pump and maximize slows, gives you plenty of time to waddle around it

Tip based on my experience, playing as Scout with the Phermone canisters and a pheromone crossbow (Steve optional) gives a strange game where you can ignore the bugs for the majority of waves.

This thing can be pretty damn useful if you've got pheremone grenades or bolts, as the bugs will attack it, and it'll obliterate them. It got my ass a few times (survived every time, dunno how) was actually a lil fun

karl would be proud achievement is surprisingly easier to get than I thought. Solo haz5 as scout in Point Extraction (because co-op will always result in someone ordering a random supply pod). Pick up all aquarqs with bosco, while you dodge all glyphids and let the sentries slowly clear them for you. Hardest achievement for me, and still haven't got it, is drill-by shooting. You need all 4 players to stand on drilldozer and kill 15 enemies each without moving away from it while the drilldozer is moving. and EVERY TIME at least ONE player moves away from the drilldozer for no reason to chase faraway glyphids.

Pretty sure this isn't applicable in lethal falls, but on non lethal ones and a mastery of it, can Bunny hopping save your ass? I haven't tried it myself on higher falls tho

These things are freaking ridiculous. They can screw a somewhat seasoned (rank 100+) player over even on haz 2, especially the damn drones

It's honestly a completely anti-fun mutator, especially since the dominant strategy is to ask one person on the team to essentially sit out of the mission. Why would I ever queue into a Hunted Cave map as a Scout knowing that I'm going to be spending the mission just flying from one end of a large room to another, only occasionally shooting at the invisible bug?

I mained driller at first, and tried not to even touch scout until every other class was promoted at least once. Turns out that was the right call, because I hardly play anything other than scout nowadays. Rock and stone to the bone!

If you're having trouble on solo as scout to grab some resources high on the wall but don't want bosco to grab it for whatever reason, grapple a little above the vein, look down at it mid air and use the super hit with your pickaxe to make a hole big enough to stand in while you mine the vein. Rock and Stone

If your gunner has placed a zipline, and said zipline is below you, be it directly or in strafing range while falling, you can catch yourself on said zipline. Alternatively, your engineer can place a platform beneath you, be it directly beneath you or at the bottom of your fall, and provided they're using the upgrade that negates fall damage (they should), you will survive the fall.

If on a Morkite Extract and you fall above one of your pipelines, if you start grinding on the pipe at the right time it negates all fall damage lmao
