  • Part two is all about the fuel tank. How we test it for leaks and what's involved in the removal process. I also show how we remove all the old foam that holds the tank in place with great results!
Old 24ft Haines Hunter 733 cabin cruiser restoration from sitting in a boat yard for years to being out on the water!
Follow each part of these videos to see what needed to be done, how we did it and the final result!

Watching your videos from Brazil!! Live mechanics and love, even more, boats! Here the boats use stainless steel or aluminum fuel tanks, avoiding corrosion... Keep going brother!

You can see why bilge blowers are essential for inboard petrol engines

Loving the videos - for emptying the fuel tank you should have hung a hose over the side and used a syphon technique - it would have emptied itself

Tough break with the fuel tank. I don’t know how much it costs where you are but I think the average is around $15-20 a gallon ($5 per liter) to have a new metal tank fabricated. You also have the option for a plastic tank. That might make it easier to carry around too haha. Awesome video, keep it up!

I'm curious about what caused that severe corrosion.

Between removing water with sponges and tiny pumps I can’t understand why you haven’t made use of a shop vac!
