    This week, we talk about an episode of Power Ranger that reached new limits, an episode where the Rangers, watched themselves?! When Conner, Ethan, and Kira find a show about Power Rangers in Japan, Conner is appalled at its portrayal of them. These Japanese Power Rangers must go up against a money-hungry monster named Ka-Ching and save the world.
    But, why is this episode so important? This video will tell you all about it!
    Lost & Found in Translation is the nineteenth episode of Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. It is a tribute to Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger, the 27th season of Super Sentai, as well as the Super Sentai franchise in general. It was part of Disney's special Made in Japan-athon shown as part of the Jetix block on ABC Family.
    Power Rangers Dino Thunder is the tenth incarnation and twelfth season of Power Rangers. As with all Power Rangers series, it was adapted from a series from the long-running Japanese Super Sentai franchise, in this case, the 27th entry, Bakuryū Sentai Abaranger. Dino Thunder was also the subtitle of the Korean dub of Abaranger in South Korea and had a similar/identical logo to the American version as well. The series is notable as it features the return of Jason David Frank reprising his role as Tommy Oliver. It was the first Power Rangers series to be aired on Toon Disney as part of Jetix.

    Spoiler alert: The little girl is the Black Ranger's daughter who was aged up into the main villain's host. The female in red was the Black Ranger's wife. Think of the Ryuu & Rie storyline from Jetman

    I started with MMPR at 3 years old. The hype with the franchise was insane in the 90s. The cast appeared in multiple commercials, the PR McDonald's toys were awesome, and the franchise was marketed really well. The toys flew off the shelves. Waking up at 7 every Saturday morning to a new episode of MMPR on Fox Kids were the best times.

    That episode was definitely my first experience with the Sentai series properly, that isn’t a regular Power Rangers adaptation to be more specific. So it was a neat experience, especially after I learned more about Super Sentai later on.
    And my first experience with Power Rangers was Wild Force. Certain parts of it may not have aged well, but my dumb nostalgia for it is resisting me from fully hating it.
    Nice video overall 👍.

    At first I didn’t like the episode but after all the points you made in this video, I now appreciate this episode way more now and I really recommend abaranger. It mostly series but gets goofy for the fact that the villains like making monsters out of everyday objects from earth. The cast is really enjoyable and it is the only sentai season where the “6th” ranger is a villain for majority of the season until the end. I just wanted to say that Dino Thunder as a whole did very well adapting abaranger and making the show it’s own rather than just a clone of the sentai.

    • @PatZalatoris
      @PatZalatoris 3 роки тому +1

      So for me, I think its decent, yes the dud isnt that great, and they edited the whole episode, but honestly it's a decent way to show kids where power rangers originated from, and teach us that sure maybe the sentai may be weird at times, if you give it a chance, hey, you might actually like it

    • @PatZalatoris
      @PatZalatoris 3 роки тому +1

      And that plot with the white ranger clone did a nice little expansion on the morphing grid, saying that 2 rangers or the same color cannot exist, and that only one can dominate that certain power at a time!

    I started pretty much at the beginning, was in kindergarten watching this on FOX Kids back in the day. Kinda fell off by the time Lost Galaxy ended, but that was mostly because my tastes in TV changed by then I think lol. I'd heard of this episode and now I gotta check it out!

    I first saw Power Rangers with Lightspeed Rescue on Fox Kids back in the day. Only have memories of the LG teamup and of that episode where's everybody in the team except Carter the badass got caught by a spider monster I think? But man starting school for the first time in my life the year after (I was 4 at the time) and watching Time Force after school was a blast and it's probably why it's my still my favorite season today (FYI, I still haven't rewatched RPM in it's entirety lol)

    I think my first time watching PR might've been on Jetix or Fox Kids at the time, I was like 3 (2003), and most likely watched Wild Force, since I had some vhs tapes of both Wild Force and Time Force (I still have one of the Time Force vhs tapes). Here in Argentina the episodes probably aired like 6 months or more later than in the US and both WF and TF would still air at different time slots if I recall correctly

It was also the first episode of the series. I watched it and loved it.
