Robert Breedlove really gets the message across in laymans terms. This is what the world needs. Brilliant episode, and please do another more in depth interview with Robert
Great show guys. Regarding your point on building codes and building safety; I am a contractor of 35 years, 18 of which he is in the state of Vermont in the United States. Other than the municipalities of Burlington, Vermont, there is no building code, no inspections and no enforcement in the state of Vermont. I’ve worked for many contractors there, and I can tell you, that it is the personal integrity of all of us has builders That sets the standard in Vermont. I’ve been a carpenter in Minnesota, Washington, Portland, Oregon, New Mexico in three different places and Denver and I have not seen a better quality and integrity of building, ethics, and craftsmanship that I did in Vermont where there was no one doing inspections! Chill on that for a while .
That's entirely anecdotal and ignores all of the issues that created. This is well documented. Also, perhaps you consider WHY Burlington is an exception.
One example of poor construction standards in Vermont can be traced to the early 2000s, particularly in the context of shoddy building practices related to energy efficiency and moisture control. In one well-known case, a housing development near Burlington experienced widespread issues with mold due to improper ventilation and insulation. The homes in this development were built quickly during a housing boom, and many corners were cut to keep costs down and speed up construction. However, the poor workmanship led to severe moisture problems, causing rot and mold growth, which posed health risks to homeowners. Several lawsuits followed as homeowners sought compensation for the expensive repairs needed to address these issues. Another example involved faulty construction practices related to structural integrity. Some contractors used substandard materials or improper techniques when building homes, resulting in problems like foundation cracking or roof leaks. In some cases, homeowners discovered these issues only after moving in, and they were left to bear the burden of repairs. Several cases in southern Vermont involved homes that did not meet local building codes, which led to disputes between builders and buyers. In response to these incidents, Vermont has made efforts to strengthen its regulatory oversight, with a particular focus on enforcing building codes and improving contractor licensing standards. The state has also increased awareness around the importance of energy-efficient building practices, in part to address concerns about insulation, ventilation, and moisture control in new homes. These issues highlighted the need for better construction standards, consumer protection laws, and more rigorous inspections to prevent similar problems in the future.
I like the 'I don't know, let's find out' so much compared to whoever is sure that their ideology is right. Certainty is often arrogance. Well done on this Peter, I think you've improved much since your last talk with Robert.
Maybe ive listened to too many podcasts but the reference to Peters businesses and soccer club starting to wear thin. No hate, just maybe something to consider. Keep up the good fight mate.
Robert has to be the best at explaining complex ideas rationally and relatable to the normal person..and yes Peter, you're over 50% a slave to the government and state through taxes 😅
Cultural Marxism, even being neck deep in this sh!t, thats the 1st time ive heard that, and now that I have, I see that as a perfect description of wokism. Damn fine work gents
Peter, to put it bluntly, your explanation for Wokeism is that “people at the top are just too dumb to know they’re making bad decisions” whereas Breedlove’s explanation is that “people at the top are evil”
Peter knows, but he's afraid to tell the truth whereas Robert isn't. But for Peter to actually try to defend these people and call their ideas "organic" makes it worse.
Sometimes it is…. Sometimes it’s not…. If a person said the earth was flat and another said it was round, would taking a middle group position be the accurate one?
More important to be truthful, rational, logical and factual irregardless of which either side of a debate it sits OR right in the middle if that’s where it’s at
Great what you are doing for Bedford! Let’s keep up the education. It’s so important we all play our part in advocating for Bitcoin. I’m a BTC maxi although as a big advocate for individual freedoms I also hold Filecoin which I don’t in any way see as an alt to BTC, but rather a utility token which holds real promise with a project that is making money and scaling fast. Bitcoin for decentralised money. Filecoin for decentralised data storage. Both hugely important for humanity.
Good interview. Love the way Peter challenged Robert on how theft happens. BTW one thing many miss - alcohol is poison. You mind clears more without it!
Silence. Sounds a bit like the 40 London Bus drivers said to have died, from a condition with a 99%+ survival rate. Shame on you for repeating government terrorist propaganda. Still haven’t learned your lesson after asking the government to “take draconian measures” against us.
I'm curious if anyone is familiar with the video they allude to, of the Russian in the 80's/90's that accurately predicts what has been and is happening? Stellar share if you have it. Thanks.
Oh what is money mixed with wbd. Going to be awesome ep. You guys are killing it. If you do a cheat code conference in 2025. I'll bring the whole family with gains from this cycle.
Robert - if you create a society where the only disincentive to building with proper safety is the threat of litigation, builders won't build to the ideally safe levels. They will do a cost-benefit analysis and figure out exactly how cheap they can build the building so that the extra profits just barely outweigh the likely losses associated with future litigation. That's basic finance. And I'm just a regular citizen, how can I opt out of a society with unsafe buildings if I don't know they're unsafe? By the time I know they're unsafe, I'll be dead in the rubble. Proper regulation like building codes solve the problem of information asymmetry between business entities and their customers. Alright, now everyone can call me a statist cuck. Great episode, Peter and Robert! Looking forward to more.
I was thinking about this too. But I wonder if the idea is that a builder could fuck up once, and not only is there a litigation issue, but their reputation is forever tarnished, never to be hired to build a building ever again. Then other builders with fight to have the best reputation and least (ideally zero) incidents in their X number of years in the market. Once you’re in a situation where builders are fiercely competing for a large share of the market by building at exceptional quality and creating that stellar reputation, I can then see how the issue resolves itself without the state having to make the rules. It seems to me the issue is, it doesn’t start out that way, so how many accidents and potential deaths would have to happen before it got to that kind of incentive structure. It’s the kind of thing that I think would work phenomenally if you could fast-forward 5 years in time and all the lessons had already been learned from the past mistakes. But if we wanted to start this method tomorrow, we’d all be taking huge risks on our buildings until the market matured and builders were operating based on their incentive to be the builder who builds the safest buildings and refusing to take any risks and destroying their reputation etc. Not sure if I’m making sense but hopefully it does! In conclusion, I think it works but not for the first few years until the market incentives mature, but then that potentially means lots of accidents and deaths need to happen to get there, which isn’t great either 🤷🏻♂️ tough one…
@thechett3699 You make a lot of sense with your points. Same applies to all road and travel infrastructure (bridges, planes, airports, eventually public space travel and FSD). The one given - regardless where anyone fits on the left/right spectrum, is greed. Humans will create ways to supplement their drive toward "more for me" , which doesn't necessarily bode well for quality/safe building. Also, litigation is a tool for those who can afford it. Reliance solely on that, limits access to fairness to only a certain sector of society. And that's providing the courts are fair themselves (not corrupt).
Peter, the quality of these discussions is improved by your honesty, experiences and ability to kindly challenge some extreme viewpoints. It's a difficult skill and allows for more nuance and depth. I really appreciate this approach with so many of your interviews...especially here after 46:00 you make some amazing points.

Just a suggestion about the building codes I think we all strive for the same thing. We want good standards and people to by those standards. Perhaps, instead of leaving it in the hands of government, you left it in the hands of an insurance company that the insurance company charge a fee to come out inspect Make sure it’s done so they don’t have to pay out anything. It would be done far more efficiently than the state.
this is one of my fav podcasts and a great guest, but here are some criticism: Peter, we are not here for your views and opinions, they are not that great nor interesting. The most important person at the table is your guest, not you. It is good that you push back sometimes if it means that we can go deeper into what your guests thinks. Im not interested listening to you declaring your views to every guest you have. We heard most of them 50 times already and it takes away opportunity to learn more about the great guests you have on, and quite frankly it all starts to get repetitive listing to your views about how the government should get smaller ever year (just one of many examples). that is my advice, thanks for a great podcast!
Some taxes are completely optional, some are an exice tax for the use of federal reserve notes. See 26 US Code subsection 7806 (b) where its recorded that tax code is NOT LAW. See case laws Self v. Rhay and Rodriques v. Ray Donovan where its recorded that human/crdators (sovereign creators of government) are not subject to codes, rules, regulations etc. These are documents written by the state, its a settled matter already, the state has made their claims, its up to us to hold them accountable to those claims. Theres also some specifics on how to address the state. Conditional acceptance is a technique that avoids dispute by saying, ill accept your claim so long as you can verify I am liable to it. Also, speaking in questions is a way to avoid making cliams that you are then liable to. Thanks again gents
I think the problem is, there’s no accountability. You pay your taxes it goes into a big hole and in that hole there’s nothing but thieves that steal most of it.
Very good. Robert, before you even mentioned the Money speech from Atlas Shrugged, I thought of that book. More people need to read that! And Mandibles.
Would love to see his list of specific things that he thinks the government does well and also define what he means by does well. But then put it up against all the things he things they don’t do well? Personally I think people think and are getting pushed into this thinking of an either / or way of doing things and that to me leads to this globalism way of thinking that bigger is better and that’s just been proven to eventually become bloody and also has a much higher chance of the idea that self destruction of the entire system is better then giving into what’s being proposed. Which is basically a one world government of course the one world government will have arms to keep control and stay in power of it all but it just means more and bigger government in governance of the population as a whole. So the return to smaller and localized is something I would agree is a better way of gaining a more fair balance between as many people as possible. The thing that will always seem to get in the way of this from actually happening will be the morals of society
Structural integrity of building regulations is of course, highly important in any jurisdiction. And making sure trades are qualified to do the work that they are doing and naturally being insured is very important. Everything else regarding zoning and planning departments as you discussed and far beyond is strictly government narrative building, a.k.a. bullshit.
Hey chum. Try not to interrupt Breedlove when he gets going. Referring to your self-indulgent quip “are we going to talk about taxes and slavery” When you have one of your intellectual lightweights buddies on and you want to yap about “battle rap” then go for the interruptions. Have fun and I’m happy for you. When you have the opportunity to listen and learn the you should listen and learn. Or don’t. Have fun and I’m happy for you.
Disagree. It's a good thing to challenge (civilly of course) and offer thoughtful, opposing viewpoints. Hero worship and echo chambers are far more troubling...and a lot less interesting. There's way too much of that, pretty much everywhere these days.
Would love to know what this guy thinks about the stupidity of UBI universal basic income. Because there is quite a few people who I like and follow that are actually entertaining the idea of UBI as a possible answer of some kind and it literally blows my mind that they cannot see it compounding the problems and issues these 2 guys are talking about. What most of the entire world went through over the last 3 years really just felt like one big experiment. Especially if you believe in the idea that there was a virus and it was a manufactured virus!
Did you consider why "handicapped accessible" features (ramps & double-sided railings) may need to be incorporated or at least allowed for when housing is built? It is easier, more comfortable, and less costly to keep older people who are having health problems in their homes when they are happy there (my Grandparents and parents who needed O2, had knee operations) than to move them elsewhere).
Robert Breedlove has become much more flexible in his approach . I would say less agressive and he feels very calm. I used to avoid his videos but now he's become a jeff booth version and I really like it!
Anti-woke is elitism resistance to progressive change. Breedlove saying LGBTQ rights is a PSYOP is ignorant and a complete disgrace. He also presumes all governments are corrupt and separate from the people, regardless of which country you're in. Pierre Poilievre's own campaign manager admitted he is playing politics...he is the definition of disinformation. Lets talk further, Peter.
I watch all of Peter's interviews. Don't want this to seem like I am a McCormack hater. But its weird whenever he talks to Breedlove he has this thing where he feels the need to constantly push back. And always looks like an idiot. Its something I rarely see with anyone else he interviews.
Read the rest of the comments. What we have here are people who see the world differently. Breedlove and I are from different countries and different cultures and people are annoyed that we don't see the world the same.
Ha! I was reading the comments looking for this type of comment! I feel exactly the same way! Peter rarely pushes back against other guests, but with Breedlove, he always almost takes it to a full on argument level. At times I feel he has something against Breedlove personally. He's always so contentious with Breedlove. Anyway, thanks for the comment. Now I know it's just not me thinking that.
6:48 - Robert, you're literally giving a Marxist interpretation of history here. The idea that the superstructure emerges from the base - in other words, culture emerges from the material conditions of a society as a way of justifying the position of the powerful. Your argument about the pharoah in Egypt is another version of Marx's argument about religion being the 'opiate of the masses'. This is essentially a materialistic view of history, a Marxist view of history, which doesn't allow for the power of ideas, brought by inspired individuals, to change the course of history. Is it not possible that in Ancient Egypt, there was a time when the priest class actually were inspired initiates who knew how to order society wisely? (See Graham Hancock's lectures, for example). This is of course now not an appropriate form for our society, the mysteries have been handed over to us and we must grow towards being free and responsible individuals.
I was hesitant to listen to this one as Robert is way too delusional and always talks for hours without being challenged. I was gladly surprised to see you challenging the nonsense coming from his mouth. Acknowledging market failures should be the very minimum required from any so-called capitalist and the list goes on
Robert's weaknesses are his far-Libertarian politics and his predisposition to conspiracy theories. (The two seem to be related, no?) He also over-sells his own domain expertise; for instance, he's not a Virologist as far as I know. If every man/woman was an island, he just may've solved Human Suffering by now. To me, he's a less off-putting Mark Moss.
It sucks that Robert has always seemed like such a cool dude on interviews etc yet in person he came off as pretentious, smug and look down on the common man.
Robert Breedlove flirts with a weird form of social darwinism. NOTE that I did NOT say that he is a social darwinist. Please read that last sentence again. I am NOT NOT NOT calling Robert Breedlove a social darwinist or a eugenicist. But I can't get his interview with James from InvestAnswers out of my head where he goes on and on about how the right kinds of people (the smart kind) will buy Bitcoin, and if you are not smart enough for it you'll be devolved downward in the population. It's really a little bit gross. You all may now proceed to willfully misunderstand what I've said and completely oversimplify and mischaracterize it.
@@MrObnoxiousPod how can ya be a Bitcoiner and a sheeple at the same time? Peters always been a tow the line type of guy though!! Govts love them! 2020 cemented that for us!!
Everything else regarding zoning and planning departments as you discussed and far beyond is strictly government narrative building, a.k.a. bullshit.
The furin cleavage site in the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein is required for transmission in ferrets and is the engineered proof Robert hopefully quoted
The State is completely fucking this up right now. So the answer is.... more State?
Breedlove FTW
Peter trying to get Robert to identify the juice bankers by name
Hey chum. Try not to interrupt Breedlove when he gets going.
Referring to your self-indulgent quip “are we going to talk about taxes and slavery”
When you have one of your intellectual lightweights buddies on and you want to yap about “battle rap” then go for the interruptions.
Peter often comes across as not knowing but still pretends he does.
Chads 🙏
Did you consider why "handicapped accessible" features (ramps & double-sided railings) may need to be incorporated or at least allowed for when housing is built? It is easier, more comfortable, and less costly to keep older people who are having health problems in their homes when they are happy there (my Grandparents and parents who needed O2, had knee operations) than to move them elsewhere).
Many lost their credibility in the past 5 week who kept mum - so called bitcoiners who are suposed to be anti-war.
Robert Breedlove has become much more flexible in his approach . I would say less agressive and he feels very calm. I used to avoid his videos but now he's become a jeff booth version and I really like it!
Woke Brit v Based Yank.
This guy’s claims don’t hold up under even mild scrutiny from Peter, lol
Waz zup was sup
I watch all of Peter's interviews. Don't want this to seem like I am a McCormack hater. But its weird whenever he talks to Breedlove he has this thing where he feels the need to constantly push back. And always looks like an idiot. Its something I rarely see with anyone else he interviews.
Read the rest of the comments. What we have here are people who see the world differently. Breedlove and I are from different countries and different cultures and people are annoyed that we don't see the world the same.
lol yep. If you really want to get frustrated, watch the limp-wristed push-back on the Lowry interview. Wanted to put my foot through my monitor.
BS guest
Ugh.
Big guy is a little luny 😂😂 a little 2 much steroids
This is of course now not an appropriate form for our society, the mysteries have been handed over to us and we must grow towards being free and responsible individuals.
bitclout breedlove
I was hesitant to listen to this one as Robert is way too delusional and always talks for hours without being challenged. I was gladly surprised to see you challenging the nonsense coming from his mouth. Acknowledging market failures should be the very minimum required from any so-called capitalist and the list goes on
please never again go to mc cormack he is laughing in ur face, he is fiat dog
Robert's weaknesses are his far-Libertarian politics and his predisposition to conspiracy theories. (The two seem to be related, no?)
He also over-sells his own domain expertise; for instance, he's not a Virologist as far as I know.
If every man/woman was an island, he just may've solved Human Suffering by now.
To me, he's a less off-putting Mark Moss.
Not a virologist? But didn't you hear him? He FEELS like covid was engineered. That's some real rigorous science right there.
That's just your opinion. These are weaknesses in your eyes. Not in mine or many others' eyes.
I think Mark Moss is even more biased
Peter, you still talk too much, learn to listen!
prte struggles with plain logic again 😐
It sucks that Robert has always seemed like such a cool dude on interviews etc yet in person he came off as pretentious, smug and look down on the common man.
I've certainly never heard this from people who said they met him in person.
Really? Did u meet him?
Still.....after all these years listening to all his amazing guests, Peter is still a fark knob!! Seriously mate!!
You can do better than this.
@@MrObnoxiousPod how can ya be a Bitcoiner and a sheeple at the same time? Peters always been a tow the line type of guy though!! Govts love them! 2020 cemented that for us!! He towed the line big time then!! Let's hope that decision doesn't come back and bite him on his arse!! It's also astonishing how he gets the Saylors, the Booths and Robert Breedloves on this show? Amazing PR team I reckon!! I honestly can't think of any other reason for it. I very rarely comment, on anything! Not subscribed either, so don't freak out!! But every now and again this podcast comes up on my feed. I always say, I love BTC, let's give this fella another go!! But everytime, ten minutes in, I'm like ....this Peter guys still a knob head!! Just my opinion, but tosser always comes to mind!!
What's a fark knob?
