There is so much information in these videos. I really love the main points including the list of fixture addresses and fixing the channel down to 6 from 7 which may have fixed my dimmer problem with 11 and 12th hex pars.

Ideally, Fixture 1 would be set to DMX channel 1. If you start it at 6, then it will occupy channels 6-11 which would overlap Fixture 2 that started at 7. For your purposes using the HexCon, it didn't matter. But, if somebody wanted to do some advanced programming using multiple fixtures with MyDMX, ShowExpress or whatever, it would cause issues.
Hi Brian great video. I'm new to DMX and I've got a Chauvet 40. I have tried to get my ADJ HEX Pars working on DMX following your video but I can't figure out what is wrong because nothing works. The lights work ok otherwise and my controller is new too and it works my moving heads. All I get on the pars is d.001 flashing set up to 6 ch I then have nodn if I press setup again and then dr-1 if I press setup again. (Different on 2nd par) I select fixture 1 and the faders have no effect at all. New leads too.
I have a WMX1, an ADJ Operator 384 and an Elation SDC 12. I just ordered a Hexcon from Amazon. These have been discontinued. Why? (I don't know) I'm excited and looking forward to getting this. It's a no brainer and the price is excellent. It's 2024 and you did this video in 2016. How did this unit work out for you? Love to know. BTW I really enjoy your videos. I bought 2 Attco Beam 100's because of vour Attco Spot 100 video. Different lights but same platform. I love them!!!!!!

The Hex Par legs never seem to hold position, and end up sliding apart and the Hex Par light ends up falling flat. Does anyone have any suggestions, or products for keeping them locked in position?

It wouldn't have worked here ether. I didn't have anything starting at d.006. The only thing I set to 6 was the Channel Mode, not the address
briansredd You are correct. My mistake. I must have looked away for a moment and missed when you changed to channel mode in the menu.

I know that you have the hex version but do you know if the color macros of the adj rgbw4c or also, your version are only usable with adj lights?
