We need more Chapter symbols for the right pauldon, it's inexcusable that we have only the Raven Guard, and Carcharodons (and a few others I can't recollect atm) available to complete a Deathwatch skin outside of Blackshielding.
I was disappointed Iron Snakes were not available in the Ultramarines succesor pack. Same in the 10th edition codex to be fair despite them festuring in recent books. I guess they must be reclassed as unkown founding - which they always were really.
Iron Snakes are my favorite spacemarine chapter, we get so many chapters that are so forgettable from ultramarine successors and we still miss Iron Snakes and White Councils.
I appreciate you taking the time to talk about all these obscure chapters. You don't get to hear about them very often at all, yet the ones we do hear about are a tiny fraction of what happens in the galaxy.

Crimson Fists were one of the first I went to create. Also, on a custom chapter I created on my Vanguard it turns out I had accidentally created an existing chapter called the 'Mortifactors', all I needed to do was adjust the colour of the left shoulder pad trim to make it 100% accurate. They look really cool!
It's great to see the Iron Ravens in here! If you want to get the knee-guards colored correctly, you can put any emblem on them and make both the fore-color and the background Kantor Blue.
Made a better Blood Ravens scheme (more faithful to Relic's original design) than the preset if anyone wants it: Primary: Khorne Red Pauldrons: Wraithbone + Black trim Chest Eagle: Gold Right knee: Use the DW stripe decal and color both parts black. Optional, but you can also color the Heavy's Powerpack black like it was in DoW1's campaign. You're welcome.

Fun fact. The black and white colour scheme of the historical Knights Hospitalier was actually changed for their knights, which wore red with white crosses. The black and white continued to be used by brothers of the order that were not knights.
That's fine but I'd like them, to fix skins that aren't working properly atm - the Dark Angels skin doesn't show any contrast in color for any of the adornments on the armor - i.e. instead of having, say, a white or metal-colored skull on their dark green armor, they are all green on green. Same goes for any laurels or other items. I've even had the skull and wings on the chest turn all-green as well. It just looks bad and I'd like to see it fixed. .
I’m a First Founding kinda guy with the exception of my Grey Knights, in SM2 though I’ve been rocking the Iron Ravens thanks to this vid making me research them more. Their color scheme is really cool and all the things you need are in the game to make them accurate, just wish we had more kneepad emblems though. At the very least some high gothic numerals

I made a Vorpal Swords marine. I used Castellans of the Rift primary coat for a light green, then straight black for pauldrons, back piece and chest insignia.
I agree red and black power armour goes hard. That's why my homebrew chapter(The Red Hunters) have black armour with a bright silver trim and a red right arm, right shoulder and helmet.

You should make a White Templars Chapter, very easy to do. And we getting more content of them which is great. The Tithes episode 2 was excellent. Captain Malachite and those Terminators were great.
Soul Drinkers, Emperors children, Dark Krakens is what I want. Every chapter should be added eventually. Would be insane if SM2 or 3 implemented chapter buffs; White Scars move faster, Grey Knights do more damage to chaos, Imperial fists have better blocking/defense etc.

I'm an off again / on again WH40k fan who loved SM1 and l've been so stoked about SM2. I got several online friends into the game. We play all the content and look forward for more. Spoiler ahead.... I have a request. I'd like to see a You Tube video explaining the lore behind each piece of armor accoutrement in the Armouring Hall, such as the Skulls on left and/or right knee cops, the skull and wings under the left knee cop, the skulls on shoulder pauldrons, the three small skulls on the gauntlets etc. I want to know all the lore behind them all, how are they earned! For example, we know the Laurels of Victory on the helmet is earned for Courage since its part of the Lt Titus's Story. I'd like a video on all the accoutrements in game, one for each Chapter if possible. I think it would make for a great video set / list, would educate new fans, get people exited for current and future SM2 content, and could allow for groups to role play a bit. My friends and I frequently all gear up as the same Chapter during PvP matches and have a ton of fun! Other players have heralded our Chapter's aid in the game before! Ha Ha it was great hearing someone yell "Come on Blood Ravens!" at the beginning of the match to purge Heretics!! The retributiors from the astartes animation are also able to be recreated in game and it’s actually pretty easy, to make a commander right shoulder should be liberator gold lieutenant emblem with white background and edges and left shoulder should be the same colours and any skull of your choosing as well as a white helmet with the rosary that goes around the head like a crown, and on one knee make it a white background with the veteran skull (make the skull white so it blends in with the background) and make the veteran mark black or grey) and make the rest of the armour grey on grey with only the crest on the chest piece being gold. And to finish it off just add the white cloth. And if you’d rather make a standard frontline assault unit just go full body base colour grey and outlines as grey with gold skull on left shoulder and the x with arrows on the right(no numerals), and to touch it off just do the horizontal stripe emblem on the knee with the stripe being grey and the rest of it black. Some small details are missing such as a small white chevron or X on the helmets but it’s a minor detail.
I've found the Emperor's Spears are pretty easy to do! Lothern blue armour with silver aquila, and can use black Void Tridents heraldry! Ultramarines armour works well for them too I've also created the Celestial Lions with Macragge blue helmet and shoulderpads, abaddon black backpack and can't remember what feline chapter symbol was in the game, but I used it with White Scar colouring. Originally I used Imperial Fist yellow for the gold, which looks very striking, but Iron Warriors also works pretty well, though may be more washed out than in the lore 🙂

Fun fact if i remember correct there is a blood angel sucessor chapter known as the Atlantian Spears and to customize into them you need the void tridents logo though different and I dont know if the teal colour is available yet but that is another chapter that's worth try to customize into. Another chapter I can think of that technically can be customize into is the Subjugators of the imperial fists successor chapter which is basically a lime green and a black back pack. there logo has the same back fist like the imperial fists Minus the ring.
star scorpions can also be done. their colour scheme is the exact same as the mentors but with a scorpion icon instead of an eagle head. they then went extinct and were replaced by the mentors
I made the grey knights and im proud with how it looks and i also made the anger marines by using the defult unlock yellow and using the red scorpion symbol and turning it black and red with some red decals and trim it looks pretty good and ive also done deathcompany and in pvp did some horus heresy color schemes
You should do another video showing some armor customization sets to go with these. Not necessarily gold gear across the board but extra bits that would work for them for specific classes maybe?

They are a successor chapter of the White Scars officially. Unofficially they are rumored to be a chimera with the Nighthaunters. They thrive on the thrill of adrenaline, trying to scare THEMSELVES with their daredevil acrobatic feats both in and out of combat
I tried making Howling Griffons in here, quite successful, gotta go quarterd with Khorne Red and Averland Sunset, and since there's no griffon symbol, you can get the Raven Guard one and paint it black, I think it looks quite good, but I'll leave judgement up to anyone who tries it
I know they probably won't for the same reasons CoD doesn't anymore, but I'd love if the chapter symbols could be mixed, matched and combined like old CoD emblems to help making custom chapters easier
Now an option to change the colors and emblems of the other players to your own so for you it feels like you are together with brothers of your chapter.
I have so much fun recreating chapters in this game, must admit my current favourite I’ve made has been Marines Malevolent, I’m disappointed that no salamanders player has cussed at me yet lol
I’m surprised he didn’t mention the storm wardens, which can be made in game rn except the shield missing behind the lightning bolt. I’ve made all my classes in PvP and pve as Storm Wardens, just patiently waiting for devs to add Sacris Power Claymores
For me, the Crimson Fists are amazing on their own. Sons of Dorn or not. Kantor is the current chapter master, and even though the characters aren't that deep I would recommend giving them a look. Plus they're a simple army to paint. 19:07 I preferred it when they were an unconfirmed loyalist Iron Warriors detachment, but were taken under the Ultramarines' wing similar to a couple of Imperial Fist successors.
I would like some personal adornments to some chapters like the Furs that the Space Wolves usually wear and the reptile skins that Salamanders sometimes wear. Also some more weapons and some older armor types would be greatly appreciated.
You can also recreate the Death Spectres using a shade of black and wraithbone, then adding the scythes of the emperor symbol. Not perfect but close enough!
I was honestly surprised that the White Consuls and Howling Griffons didn't make the cut for the Ultramarines DLC considering they're 2 of the more well-known UM successors
Valrak - you showed the Knights of the Raven scheme using a Dark Angels emblem, but they just use the Raven Guard emblem in black. Some Knights of the Raven notes for folks - there's some official artwork of a Knights of the Raven jump pack marine and he is displayed as using the standard squad role close support emblem in black, but with gold trim around the squad emblem itself, and white squad numerals. This marine also has fancy trim detailing in a color similar to Balthazar Gold in-game. Also notable to mention - they display their company color by painting the left kneeguard in that color, which is also achievable in SM2.

You can basically do any chapter by using the more elaborate shoulder pads that don't need chapter symbols

Another chapter I can think of that technically can be customize into is the Subjugators of the imperial fists successor chapter which is basically a lime green and a black back pack. there logo has the same back fist like the imperial fists Minus the ring.
star scorpions can also be done. their colour scheme is the exact same as the mentors but with a scorpion icon instead of an eagle head. they then went extinct and were replaced by the mentors

I made the grey knights and im proud with how it looks and i also made the anger marines by using the defult unlock yellow and using the red scorpion symbol and turning it black and red with some red decals and trim it looks pretty good and ive also done deathcompany and in pvp did some horus heresy color schemes

You should do another video showing some armor customization sets to go with these. Not necessarily gold gear across the board but extra bits that would work for them for specific classes maybe?
I'm sure they'll do successor chapters with the dlcs. Considering the next champion skin is Dark Angels, it'll be them

Grey Knights or riot! I've been using the Tomekeepers emblem with the Grey Knights color scheme using Administratum Grey and the pale red color.
Red Minotaurs.
Quartered paint scheme. Nighthaunter Blue and Silver. Gold trim. Minotaur logo painted Red.
Bonus points if used on Assault class. Red Bull gives you wings
They are a successor chapter of the White Scars officially. Unofficially they are rumored to be a chimera with the Nighthaunters. They thrive on the thrill of adrenaline, trying to scare THEMSELVES with their daredevil acrobatic feats both in and out of combat
I tried making Howling Griffons in here, quite successful, gotta go quarterd with Khorne Red and Averland Sunset, and since there's no griffon symbol, you can get the Raven Guard one and paint it black, I think it looks quite good, but I'll leave judgement up to anyone who tries it
If i don't get my Celestial Lions or Iron Snakes emblem to finish my marine i will cry. Still looks sick atm tho. Will post in discord if interested.
They need more squad markings and icons tbh. Also need to be able to put some icons on the right shoulder and use all colours on all parts.
I know they probably won't for the same reasons CoD doesn't anymore, but I'd love if the chapter symbols could be mixed, matched and combined like old CoD emblems to help making custom chapters easier
Now an option to change the colors and emblems of the other players to your own so for you it feels like you are together with brothers of your chapter.
I have so much fun recreating chapters in this game, must admit my current favourite I’ve made has been Marines Malevolent, I’m disappointed that no salamanders player has cussed at me yet lol

I've been running as excoriators with cream colored armor and a red tinted fist logo on the shoulder.
I realy like the angel redeemed one. Id be tempted to paint up a model like that and see how it pops.
For me, the Crimson Fists are amazing on their own. Sons of Dorn or not. Kantor is the current chapter master, and even though the characters aren't that deep I would recommend giving them a look.
Plus they're a simple army to paint.

I preferred it when they were an unconfirmed loyalist Iron Warriors detachment, but were taken under the Ultramarines' wing similar to a couple of Imperial Fist successors.

I would like some personal adornments to some chapters like the Furs that the Space Wolves usually wear and the reptile skins that Salamanders sometimes wear. Also some more weapons and some older armor types would be greatly appreciated.
You can also recreate the Death Spectres using a shade of black and wraithbone, then adding the scythes of the emperor symbol. Not perfect but close enough!
I was honestly surprised that the White Consuls and Howling Griffons didn't make the cut for the Ultramarines DLC considering they're 2 of the more well-known UM successors
Valrak - you showed the Knights of the Raven scheme using a Dark Angels emblem, but they just use the Raven Guard emblem in black.
Some Knights of the Raven notes for folks -
there's some official artwork of a Knights of the Raven jump pack marine and he is displayed as using the standard squad role close support emblem in black, but with gold trim around the squad emblem itself, and white squad numerals. This marine also has fancy trim detailing in a color similar to Balthazar Gold in-game.
Also notable to mention - they display their company color by painting the left kneeguard in that color, which is also achievable in SM2.

Hotly underrated chapter.... although I'd play Iron Snakes if they existed, criminal we got Iron Hounds but not Iron Snakes
Would love to see Silver Templars. Hard to make tho. The pectoral plate below the winged skull is black while the rest of the torso is silver.

hmm.. i'm nearly sure that the Silver Skulls symbol on this skin is from the Iron Warriors. I have seen this on a Chaos Space Marine transfer sheet when i remember correctly..
I hope at some point this game will have Skull with Crown of Thorns emblem. I would really like to make Angels Penitent in this game... Or maybe Angels Resplendent. THE EMPEROR CONDEMNS!!
