- Tripods are big cumbersome things but also a necessary evil at times. If you want a good travel tripod you need a GorillaPod right? Not so, enter the Manfrotto PIXI EVO 2 tripod. This is the big brother to the Manfrotto Pixi Min. Is this little travel-sized tripod good enough to get the job done? You will have to watch to find out.

I really appreciate watching the different positions in how this tripod can be used. High, low or flat, extended, with the center of gravity on top and to the side.
Happy that you found that part helpful.
Useful video. I've been considering one of these for use with my Osmo Action 3 on a pole, as it extends to 1.5m and I want something with a wider spread.
Osmo Action should not be an issue at all for this.
I actually bought this tripod - the screwing mechanism screwed me - the mechanism parts are dependent on each other - it can really easily fall apart and youll lose the small metal thingy that holds it all in place - other than that is a great tripod - but that is like the most important thing so idk
Thanks a lot. I just bought one and found the only main criticism is that the handle mechanisms all rattle annoyingly when not actually sitting mounted on the ground.
Agree, but for the most part it is only a small issue with this other wise nice little tripod.
Thank you for the review. Since I have small hands and I'm just a novice vloger using a iphone mini, I will settle for the original mini. :)
You are not settling, you are just using the right tool for the job.
Isn't pushing on the button while the other hand makes adjustments a two-handed operation? So how is that different from tightening/untightening the knob with one hand while the other hand makes adjustments? Either tripod requires 2 hands to make adjustments.
With larger cameras yes. Some smaller cameras can be done with one hand.
This should hold my m50 just fine
Original Pixie vs this one feels like comparing Victorinox kitchen knife vs swiss knife: latter can do more, but compromises each task a bit.
This is very true. But I know myself I was going back and forth when I first got the Pixie and its larger cusine. So that wi why I did a little comparing.
Thank you for the review, do you think it can handle sony a7iii with zeiss 35mm f1.4 lens?
The body itself should not be an issue. the lens might make some positions a little front heavy.
I hate how flat it lays - it takes up too much space. I would prefer to lock in the leg height much more veridically.
I could see that.
Hi! Will this hold the SL3 with a Sigma 24-105? It is big.
I am not sure it would. I felt like I was pressing my luck with my telephoto lense, which is lighter and shorter then the Gigma 24-105.
The maker says it will hold a total weight of 2500g, of which the body is up to 750g. So weigh your camera and see.
Lumix S5 (720g) + Sigma 24-70 (830g) should work, right? With the legs NOT extended or at flat angle. Love the Evo's design and features for that price, really intriguing!
Based on math and size it should. But I do not have access to them to test out myself.
