Had to read that 3 times kept seeing double double and thought I was reading it wrong
Also you can reload your empty one just by dragging ammo to it through inventory while holding in hands second loaded. And it won't play an animation, ammo just magically loads into each barrell instanteniously

pretty sure the mp18 is considered a shotgun by russian designation for the same reason both VPO´s are considered shotguns, they have unrifled barrels, up untill like the last 5 centimeters

Under very convoluted and stupidly written Russian law, a firearm is considered a shotgun if it has a smooth bore (no rifling) for the majority of it’s barrel. the .366 AK is a perfect example of that so I would guess the new one shot break action would be in the same boat. While both rifles in chambering, in function, and in practice, they are both “shotguns” if you are in Russia.
Also you forgot the FN Five-Seven for pistols. Don’t worry, I got you! S Tier!
To my understanding, it’s much easier to get shotguns in Russia than rifles, so they design rifles as “shotguns” by having no rifling so that civilians can buy them more easily.

The MTs-255 is great because it's the bigger iron, and the M32A1 is the biggest iron
the new single shot rifle is actually normally a single shot shotgun, but there are conversions for it in 7.62x54R
And it cannot be sniper rifle because it has not rifled barrel i guess

smoothbore weapons are technically considered to be shotguns since you can pretty much put anything in the barrel for a projectile with the proper charge and a wad for a gas seal. IIRC the 336 vpo falls under the same category.

It appears I accidentally deleted the segment on the USP, 5.7, and SR-1MP. All three of which are A tier pistols and are the workhorses of the pistol category. For the RFB, BCP FMJ actually has 31 pen and TCW SP has 34 pen. That being said, I still believe 7.62x39 PS is a better round overall.

The MP-18 is designated as a shotgun in Tarkov because irl, the Izhmash/Baikal MP-18 is a 12gauge shotgun that you can purchase a barrel swap kit for to make it fire 7.62x54r. I believe it was planned but canceled at the last minute probably due to bugs, just like the rest of the planned multi-caliber weapons (including the brand new AXMC)
Make a new list big boy
SA-58 is an easy B-Tier for me just because you can make high ergo and compact DMR with it. The full-auto gets reserved for panic button status still. Plus. Shorty SA-58s are max drip.
my friends and I would save up for SA-58s early wipe and when we each had one, we'd use them. Leave it on semi and slap on a cheap sight, and you've got yourself a decent battle rifle.
For me its S tier, it's my main gun currently.I have 28 lvl, I didnt do much quests etc. and have 2nd level traders and peacekeeper on 3rd - this is the only gun of this caliber that has full auto and it saved me a lot.. Ofc u mainly use single but often, someone will approach my camp spot or jump out of the corner while Im going to extraction, not only that, but SA-58 also has big mags, I snipe with a 20 round one and while traveling, I take a 50 drum mag and as I said, sometimes some stupid timmy jumps out and tries to headshot you and you need to follow him with full auto or u gonna lose and not kill him fast enough with single only or if some pro comes out of a corner, it's 100% need of auto, single wont be fast enough IMO cause these battles are so quick, brrt and you or he's gone at these ranges so you need to brrrt someone too... and its awful if u miss tho, that's why for traveling I take the drum mag :D I often went above the 20 round capacity of a standard mag with full auto and a bigger one saved me.
Up to 150m I take the one with shorter barrel cause it has more ergo, it has less accuracy and muzzle speed.. for longer range sniping, I take the long version, it's very accurate.. Also, a big PLUS is this gun with AAC supressor is veery quiet, most of time people don't know who shot them and I use M80, not tracers, so they don't see the tracer round too.
Great video. Surprised you missed a few pistols like the fn 5.7 and the shrimp. Still enjoyable and agree with most of your choices and why.
Sr-1 is S tier at the moment. the BT ammo is fucking ridiciliously good, its like a rifle AP round. The ammo will be nerfed to the ground when the Sr-2 gets added tho, theres no way 9x21mm will keep the current stats when that 950RPM smg gets added

The reason you would use a SAG 5.45 AK over another AK, is that the barrel gives it a very high muzzle velocity that the others dont have.
and ergonomics.
And great sound + it looks better than the bastion cover.
I actually am one of those freaks who from very early on just kind of kept STM-9s around and kitted them up a little bit. It fits in such a weird spot, but its good if you like getting your insuranced weapon back, and primarily I strictly only shoot heads with it (the stats are perfect for that). Regardless it is a rough weapon, but if I ever wanna slowly use up some AP rounds on meta kits and expect my gun back its what I run
The reason to use the revolver shotgun is that it has significantly higher accuracy on single action than the other shotguns.
this is a well needed tier list because of the new buffs and weapons
i appreciate you going back and adding the 300 black out gun in post. its a solid gun and deserves a mention.
A little oversight imo - the advantage of the Mossberg is an absolutely amazing iron sight.. worth it for the few extra roubles. Started using it this wipe and it's awesome for factory
The remington is absolutely gorgeous. You can mod it to have 100 ergo, at that point it feels and sounds marvelous.

Its also the only one that looks like a standard hunting rifle. Useful from when i transition from shooting dears in COTW to shooting rats in tarky
mp-18 and even the vpo-209 are classified as shotguns due to russian gun laws limiting the amount of rifling in a barrell to be classified as a "Rifle" so i believe the work around was to develop a half smoothbore and half rifled barrell being classified as a shotgun not a rifle
The new super 90 has a tighter spread so the slightly lower rate of fire is worth imo. Not to mention it's the fastest pump action to fire.
Used the 9mm Rhino alone for Stirrup, did it in two raids with two Rhinos on me at all times. Switching to your sidearm is faster than reloading. :]

TX-15 is 200k because of the suppressor and the stock it comes with, which you can't get at the level you can purchase the gun (and even if you could, it would still cost you around 100k at minimum for the combo). As well as a better upper receiver.

Recoil difference between the M3 Super and the 153 is massive. M3 is incredibly effective at longer ranges if you intend on putting lots of led DOWN range.
Yeah feel like the M3 was done dirty in this list. Haven't had more success with a shotgun ever in Tarkov. Also feel like the MP-155 is second only to the Saiga 12

I like the STM9 but the Saiga 9 with PSO/Quakes fills the same role for 30-50k with a mod setup. Its a fun weapon but since gun is specifically built for PSO rounds; I find other rounds hit at different heights which means youre fairly relegated to using the "worse" ammo and shooting for limbs.
tldr bad for budget and not the friendliest with other 9x19 cartridges
I've always liked the MP-9N for I few reasons, (I mainly run leg-meta ammo out of it.) It has a similar benefit to the Glock 18C, it spits out lead so fast, you're gonna be dropping bodies at close range no matter what. 1100 rounds a minute to the G18C's 1200, it's not that much of a difference in practical sense.
It's usually very cheap. Last wipe, I picked up four of these bad boys 100/100 durability for under 100k roubles. At max you'll spend 50k for each (still cheaper than the 9mm Vector, and with a higher ROF), and the suppressor is unique, making it more affordable should you choose to go that route.
It kills really fast, is fairly affordable to replace if you lose one, and makes and excellent budget gun for clearing out Dorms, the Resort, the Pawn and Knight buildings, the bunker, any CQC area.
I'll also run one with the 20-round mags as a secondary when I'm banging on a long rifle. It still rips at close range, even with the twenty rounders, unless you seriously fuck up, they're dead by the time you're slamming a mag back into this thing.
The .45 Vector is the clear winner in my book, if you intend to run a primary SMG, but for a secondary weapon, or a super budget CQC ankle-breaker, the MP-9N is hard to beat.
I think we must be quite opposite. I just went factory the other day with a Makarov and only 2 8 round magazines, with pbm in the first mag. I killed a guy that just ks23 flash plus nade trolled a guy the same level as me at the time, and the guy was wearing the level 4 and 3 face shield helmet. He got 2 in the face from our engagement and donated his loot to me
The double barrel goes sicko mode with rip rounds, one of the most consistent one shot guns close range
Love the mp9n definitely a hidden gem don’t see them used often
The mts has the tightest spread of all the actual shotguns so it's actually much more effective at longer ranges than others.
Especially if you use express buckshot or slugs like SuperFormance, you'd be surprised just how accurate it is. I used it to get my shotgun kills for Peacekeeper.
9:29 just like a personal opinion, the slower fire rate from the m3 kinda? allows you to land more shots on your enemy than just panic mouse spam clicking ur shells into the air
killed 2 kitted PMCs on factory when i went in with nothing but a 1911 and a dream just a few days ago. everything was great until i was last pmc alive on the map and tagilla was chasing me in circles around the whole damn map

The 870 with the breacher barrel and birds head grip is pretty fun, you get a tiny 3x1 shotty that can 2 shot legs with magnum buck, pretty sure that is the smallest shotty you cam get in the game, I wish the double barrel could have a sawn off option

until he and team realized how fucking broken that thing is. i mean it still is. its the price of a tt33. and the double whammy if not killing a person physically. will kill them with a heart attack.
M700 deserves an A tier at least just for being the lightest 7.62x51 bolt action when using the AICS kit, if even just for doing shooter born.
I feel like a grenade and throwable tier list is a must now lol.

I would have put the SVD higher up just because SNB and BT is so incredibly common to find in raid. And they will go through level 6 armor like a hot knife through butter. Even if you cant find them, you can craft 80 SNB for a single red gunpowder with workbench level 2.
TLDR it still fires some of the best ammo in the game and it is vere easy to get.
And even lps still hurts like a bitch when you take one, and its available lvl 1 with the mosin. For me that duo has always been the great equalizer when i started late in wipe
Plus, the SVD doesn't really need much to be good. A suppressor and PSO are enough in most cases in which you'd be using it.
@@heatea5255 LPS has a 90%+ chance to pen lvl 4 armor, which is arguably the most common level you'll see for a long time, especially when it comes to helmets.
It's a damn monster and makes the SVD scary.

At the .308 Guns you always go for BCP, why not TPZ (Or TCW as it is now called) it has 34 Pen so just on less than 7.62x39 PS and has 10 more Damage and also can be bought at Jaeger LL1. Makes a lot of the .308 guns on par with 7.62x39 PS Guns.
STM9 is one of my favorites for anti-scav work whenever I come across one. I've never bought one tho. Also I always swap the stock on it with one of the base M4s to make a better m4 for free
The reason the tx is 200 from traders is because the attachments on flea are as expensive separately bought for m4 builds. Most ppl like myself get skier’s version and slap it on an m4 receiver
I like the ergo n recoil bump from the SAG AK, has a crazy ergo so you can toss a 95rnd mag in there and still have great ergo
The M870 is lightweight, it goes well as a secondary. Double-Barrell with Magnum Buckshot is basically a KS23 if you aim for the right leg of your opponent

@@taiteraide yeah, try going with level 5 armor and ash 12 with four mags all loaded up to a raid where you want to both shoot PMCs and loot, you basically can carry like 5-10 kg worth of loot before getting so fat that you can't regen your stamina while not sprinting

With the mp-155, i have to disagree on the grounds of the ultima chassis. It does not just look good, but provides an ungodly amount of ergo compared to the mp-153, which makes all the difference when using a silencer. Basically, if you have enough money to waste on guns, go for the ultima, otherwise mp-153 is still the best for budgeting.
even for cheap, with a few parts an mp-155 can be 50+ ergo unsilenced for like ~70k
@@Luke-vg7ut Sorry i did not make this clear, the ultima is only a good option when silencing your shotgun, otherwise i do agree you can get equal performance without the ultima kit if unsilenced
last wipe the guns that i was using the most were m1a, m4 and mp5
i used them a lot more solely because i wanted to expand my playstyle

m45 mew-mew is top tier, also pumps got buffed this patch, alot faster now. And the vepr hunter is still dope as a cheap dmr since u can put a pso and a reddot at the same time

People forget the TT01 - PSO combo for the Hunter. A really slept on budget DMR

and takes 7 rounds to kill on crap armour. if u land one or two good shots its gg. plus u can bring 2 ump mags. bring a 1911 with 1 extra. and a handfull of .45 in secure. and u can last the whole raid.

16:50 i used to play with kedr all the time with my friend on factory, when we played with it i got more kills than i do with normal guns. Like we smashed 4 man squad with lvl 3 armors, soviet helmets and AK's with kedrs, i have a big sentiment for this gun
I feel like the RD-704 is gonna get nerfed to the floor next wipe or become mutant syndrome where you cant buy on flea, and is rare .

Cool Video. A nice and often overlooked feature off the G28 is that you can bring it below 4kg without doing shit like removing the stock. In the current weight-meta thats not a bad thing at all.

The revolver shotgun has the best MOA out of any of the shotguns i think, even with buckshot its range is ridiculous, The reload is so much better at mastery 2 which is relatively easy to get, also cant ever jam, its health only affects range
9x19 revolver can be called the tiny iron, or ti-nee-re iron if you wanna just whack someone with it

havent played in like 2 wipes but I use to play with the mossberg around mid wipe, i loved it becuase noone would take it so I always had one. thats when magnum buckshot was purchasable early

12:57 by definition of the RF's gun laws, this is a shotgun because it has no rifling in the barrel. We also don't call it "дробовик", which literally translates to "shotgun", but we call it "ружьё", which is sometimes translated to "rifle". And yes, we have smoothbore AKs which are also counted as shotguns.
The revolver shotgun has the highest moa for any shotgun. If you're going to snipe it is the single best shotgun to use. It makes buckshot grouping really tight which is great for flechette. Tight grouping makes it able to hit the armor with more pellets shredding it faster.

The tx15 is basically a meta M4 from the shelf, you just buy an M4 lower and swap that in, its not the long barrel and surpressor etc

The pm pistol is good to go to factory naked and shoot head because you can get a gun like 2 mags and ammo for 10k rubles
The secret to making the double barrel A tier is using 2 of them. Still only like 19000 for 4 shots. It's still not great but I've had a blast quad barreling around factory

Rewatching this vodeo a few wipes down the line and I realized that at least with this wipe not only is the mp-18 slated as a shotgun but the VPO-209 is for some reason as well. At least in weapon mastery.

Just a heads up. Both sag AKs sell on flea for like 40-50k. They absolutely slap recoil wise.
BCP FMJ for 7.62x51mm actually sits at 31 penetration meaning you'll punch through class 3 and below so if you can rush a gun that uses it early wipe it's horrifyingly good.
The reason it's so good early wipe (aka pre-class 4 armor) is because it also comes loaded with 88 damage meaning that a thorax hit can one shot honestly surprisingly often only downside being it looses that potency at range where TCW SP is better with it's higher penetration meaning it impacts with an amazing chance against class 3 and maybe a 1 in 5 on class 4 long as it doesn't ricochet.

The Toz it great as a pmc because no one will loot it, and if you get the jump on someone, you can usually get the kill.

I absolutely love the vector. It is worth the cost to absolutely dominate close range engagements, just make sure to hold 7 mags if ur solo...
I top off 10 rounds of AP on top of cheap leg meta bullets and aim for the face with a 50 round mag. I supress it and add a flashlight and laser and she becomes devistating in short-range engagements. If the first 10 bullets don't melt him or there are multiple targets switch to the defensive and leg meta or change mags. Engagements last microseconds to seconds with extreme aggression but some times they draw out trying to gain a tactical advantage.
But it fucks harder than anything! Prefire everything and aim fo the head with flashlight in the dark and 3 lasers in the light.
Fun fact: the MP-18 is actually considered three different classes:
1. Shotgun (when you inspect it in game)
2. Marksman rifle (when you look at its classification in mastery)
3. Bolt Action (Counted toward a kill in Tarkov Shooter Pt 3 for me)
