They are both legends and this video is just off the charts. The first I ever saw of Devon was years ago when he was doing some colabs with Jujimufu. It was the way he was teaching, explaining and coaching that got me interested in armwrestling to begin with. It's so cool to see this all these years later and Devon has become even better at distilling down all his addition wisdom. Brian knows HOW to get strong and execute a movement with maximum power better than perhaps anyone Devon's ever trained with. So cool to see them both realize that what Brian needs to learn is "what" he needs to be able to do, and that he will then be able to figure out "how" to get insanely strong at doing that on his own.
It seems like Brian is excited about arm wrestling, and that should terrorize the dreams anyone who arm wrestles at the top level. Brian is a champion; he’s going to dominate arm wrestling unless he gets injured.
It's not necessarily just strong man, any professional or even amateur collegiate athlete just knows how to put the work in. As a competitive swimmer through college, etc., that skill set never leaves you. Or you have to put the work in every day sometimes to work out a day 365 days a year.
I really don't like Devon's teaching style, he spent 2 minutes telling Shaw about his body and leg position and then immediately jumps into in hand position, climbing hands, different techniques -- all while Shaw's full body flow is completely useless. Instead of spending the first like 30 minutes helping Shaw lock in the full body movement, like dragging his elbow back, the shoulder to arm positioning, locking the body and move it down while dragging back -- instead he let Shaw keep doing side pressure from his elbow. EDIT* 24:10 It's ridiculous that the first time it's ever brought up is Shaw ASKING Devon about dragging his elbow back lmao 🤦♂

Armwrestling might be the only sport where the stereotypical does not meet the outcome. People who look like balloons with their huge ass muscles means nothing in armwrestling unless they know the technics... You need good technic to beat people. @@jeffmacarthur9722he is stronger than Larry. It looks like Devon thinks he only needs to learn certain moves. I doubt he ever teaches him the kings move.
@@blankname6629 Kings move is not a winning move, its not something you want to be strong with, it is a defensive, counter, losing move. Its just hoping your opponent makes a mistake and armwrestling athletes at the moment are not as good to understand it completely, so they panic with their flawed technique in the chaos. In 5 years the young generation will come and they will know how to deal with the kings move cause they always armwrestled with good technique. I can see it more and more how some people can grasp those concepts and run with it quickly.

Such a cool video. I met John Brzenk once and asked him about what he thought of Devon Larratt. The only the thing he had to say was how smart Devon was, how his mind worked. I can't remember the exact quote he said, but it was something like Devon being the smartest guy in the sport. With Devon as a coach/trainer for Brian, the sky is the limit for him. He's such a naturally gifted, hardworking, smart, competitive, and well conditioned guy that if he really applies himself and listens to what Devon has to say, I really think he might become a new apex of the sport. This is the greatest mind in the sport, molding what has got to be the greatest natural talent in the sport. It's really gonna be something special to see Brian ascend if he really commits to it.

Also Devon: π(👉+ 2i)²-2⬆(1+💪i) +🤚= 🦾+ 4🙃+ 4i²-2m=🥇
Yeah that was a packed crash course
He was like, oh, this guy is smart! I better get to the advanced shit quick!
that =🥇 got me
😂

Brian has always been humble and a good student, hence he is open to learning and soaking in all that there is to learn.
Devon showed he is not just a master of his craft but also a great teacher. I was able to follow his explanations well.
I usually do not comment but this teacher student video really compelled me.....
A GEM. One of my favorite videos ever on this app. Engaging nonstop for 26 minutes.
God i love brian so much because he's listening to everything devon is saying and paying close attention to all the details devon is teaching him and asking all the right questions and learning so fast.
Such a humble man.
This should be a movie. A legend trains a strongman monster to be more monster to defeat armwrestling monsters🔥
19:57 around this time I heard about 900 "okay?"s
Stallone has to have a cameo
Defeat ONE arm wrestling monster!
" *A legend trains a strongman* "
Unfortunately, you hit the nail with this one.
Over the top 2
I went to my 1st AW practice last week. It was fascinating, and the guys were so helpful and patient. This video is actually amazing info for a beginner. I'll go back next week, been thinking about it every damn day, it's too fun.
I don't know why his skills and patience as a teacher surprise me the clips they show of him paint a very different personality watching him teach I see the love he has for the sport and experience is the most important part getting his knowledge and him being so patience and taking time so you don't risk injury this master from the north I will be a fan for life both of you work together so well no ego love watching professionals best thing I have watched in forever
We’ve been waiting to see this so many people all over the world . I’ve watched brian compete for his titles . What a role model for so many men , women , kids , people of the world . What an honor to just watch and listen
Devon’s such an awesome teacher and Brian is just soaking up the knowledge
He seems to be picking it up quicker than Larry Wheels did🤣💪🇨🇦
@@jeffmacarthur9722he is stronger than Larry.
@@AdamLighter1 I know it is but it’s also a move you teach someone where you think it could be beneficial. Devon does use it from time to time.
I love how humble and gracious devon is with genuinely wanting to teach and help
Brian is such an awesome listener.
Became a Bigger fan Shaw since this!!!! Please get that HAMMER !!!!!!!!!
1:10is pure comedy, like out of a skit when they both start "looking for chalk" helplessly hahaha
I've been refreshing your page hourly for 48hrs to see this upload. Letsgoooooooo!
Devon is the perfect teacher, very humble. And Brian is an amazing student. Amazing to see this...
11:02
"tight tight tight"
devon pulled a tuco there
Was thinking the same exact thing 😅
Speaking g of powder... 😏😤😩🥴😕🫤😵
Hahaha, exactly what I was thinking!!
Yeah mister white, SCIENCE!
Blue yellow green whatever it is keep bringing me more of this shit!!
This is one of the greatest videos put on the internet.
This is an all world collaboration. Two of the greatest athletes in their respective sports learning from one another. Incredible.
Devon is so techical, that's why he's one of the greatest. Brian Shaw... no words, his talent and humbleness speak for himself. Greetings from Brazil.
Love this. Two terrific dudes, Brian couldn't have a better teacher ; Brian's enthusiasm and professionalism great to see.
Реально - это бесценные уроки армрестлинга от Девона. Просто кладезь драгоценных знаний. Строго рекомендуется всем новичкам.
Слишком много воды, и он не говорит Брайану когда тот делает неправильно
@@mercedesamg2287 The teacher encourages the successes until the mistakes disappear.
This is what i love abought brian. When he is learning he pays VERY close atention. Takes in as much as he can and never over plays his knowlage. He is so humble and naturally throws himself 100% into anything he learns. Its genuinely a pleasure knowing this man exsists. Arm wrestling world needs to pay atention to brian if he dives into this he most definitely can DOMINATE given time❤ much love Mr Shaw and thank you for everything youv shown us so far.
TY Devon - great teacher/explainer. Helps having a man like Brian.
Devon can explain everything so easy and simple. Great
I don’t know Jack about armwrestling but I love watching it. So watching this I was like ‘damn that makes so much sense’ over and over and over.
Devon just got so much knowledge, people can hear him talking for days non stop, and brian is a lovely and humble guy who wants to kick some ass in the armwrestling world 💪
Love this… student and teacher… both men, humble and intelligent… this is when greatness occurs!
This guy's smile is just amazing.... !!
Just pure feels. I screen captured it. I want to smile like that one day!
There are 2 guys in this video
I’m scared of just shaking Brian’s hand, imagine arm wrestling him 💀
Imagine a handy, no homo 💀
Brain and halfthor are the biggest living strongman on earth. Just massive humans
Proud of halfthor for becoming a cut fit bodybuilder like physique now he looks like a true vikin
@@VirtousStoic hawthorn as a basketball player is far from a strong man physique...all artificial
@@VirtousStoicI can only imagine what Brian would look like lean like what Hafthor did
imagine blowing him
Man I love watching two legendary icons from two different sports sharing wisdom. Pure gold ✨️
I think this is the most efficient communication I have ever seen, Devon teached Brian and Me the essentials of armwrestling in 20 min, I am really happy I stumbled upon this Video.
I’m 9:32 into this video… Just with the clarity of training and input Devon is providing Brian I KNOW Brian is going to be completely unstoppable as soon as he is unleashed
For real, Brian himself will probably rewatch this constantly as he trains
He'll never beat any professional heavyweight arm wrestler.
Hahahaha.... awesomeness
@@lukea136 He might not ever beat the best heavyweights (although with enough dedication and training he probably could), but there are most definitely heavyweight pros he could beat right now.
@@lukea136 you clearly have no idea what you’re talking about
Lets go!!! I've been looking forward too this video for soo long, haven't watched it yet but I know it gonna be a banger!
Devon and Brian are the next world dominating team! With D's coaching and experience Brian is going to dominate!!!!
This cool for you to pass on your knowledge to this monster of a man, looking forward to the next chapter.💪🏻❤
This is one of those things you only get to witness once in a lifetime. If Brian takes this full on he will go down as the greatest of all time 🐐🙌🏻
I love the passion Devon displays in the sport. And Brian is such a devoted and respectful student. Good on you guys!
After a shitty day that’s what I needed to start in the weekend with a positive mind, stay strong brothers 🦾
X2 😞
Stay strong! Those days come and go but your resolve will always stay!
@@nickw6084 Thanks for the love, have a nice day Buddy 🙏🏻
Love watching Devon arm wrestle. And Brian is a huge man. How big are your arms. As big as you are sir, you look even bigger when you stand next to large people. Love your channel.
The coolest Arm wrestler in the world meets the coolest Strongman in the world. Love to you both from Sweden
Brian is so humble and willing to learn. A great lesson for all of us!
What a great teacher. RESPECT
I was introduced to Davon though Juju videos. Since then he's cropped up in my feed from time to time and never fails to impress. He always seems like such a genuine great bloke.
I need more man! Two of the coolest masters of their craft, linking to help one transition and master the others craft! So pumped and already a big fan of Brian the arm wrestler!!!
This is going to push the sport over the top just can't handle levon dominating so much,! I respect lavon a lot but he better eat his weaties.
No armwrestler ever started with this high base strength, once Brian is done with conditioning and get his armwrestling strength up it's over for a lot of elites give it 5 years of dedication
😂
give it 15 years of dedication. Then he is as old as John Brzenk is now.
give it half a year and he a big problem
Brian is a fast learner. Id say 1 year he is in the top 10 and in 2 years top 3

This is a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience for Shaw and also for us viewers. Devon explaining, teaching and mentoring in a way none of us have ever seen before. Truly great content. Both legends in their own respects.
The things u showed him will make him a winner in this sport and noone will be able to hett cheap on him its so great that u took the time to show him and us your technique thanks for sharing this great video so excited for him to win some more trophies
This is amazing! Devons knowledge/wisdom and Brians strength combined is going to be incredible! So glad this is happening!
Two legends from two completely diffrent sports togethers! Glad i Saw it happen
I've been waiting for this video!! It's been a while since I've felt that way
Wow, this is gold. Thank you. I'll be returning to this video!
