It just goes to show how amazing of an armwrestler Devon really is. I knew he wouldn't do too well on the grip because his elbow tendons are too worn from all the years of pulling. That he can even keep pace with much bigger, stronger men on the table is astounding. He's one of the greats all-time for sure. Brian can learn so much from him.

Fun video to watch. I believe that between two people with equal grip strength, the one with more surface area on his hads would outperform the other in these tests. You are just able to get more leverage the bigger your hand is. In arm wrestling its more about focusing your power into a certain spot one would think. Thats what makes Devin so spectacular at what he does. His arm works in perfect harmony with his grip. It would be interesting to do a different contest to challenge who has the strongest opening up of the hand with heavy duty rubber bands.

Brian! That's the exact type of dynamometer that Vitaly Laletin has the reconrd on (160kg-ish), and he has huge hands! There's a bit of a technique to it-you put the bottom of the dynamometer in the middle of your palm-->wrap your fingers as far around as you can from there-->then wrap your thumb OVER the other fingers. Vitaly Laletin showed this technique to Larry Wheels in Dubai and he increased his numbers ummediately!
This is true. I bought a dynometer while doing physical therapy last year. My number could be very different depending on how I gripped up. Some people are just naturally gifted with drip strength too. Larry had a guy on his channel within the last few months who just looked like am average regular guy and he had crazy grip. The guy that could close the #4 COC
When Devon says he's not known for his feats of strength, that's both true and false. His hand and pronation in armwrestling is at an exceptional level, with guys like Ermes and Levan praising him. It would but I think it goes even beyond technique. I think there is some instinct. Knowing exactly when to both remove pressure from one spot and increase pressure to another. You could show someone how to do that. But in the heat of the battle will they know when to do it?
watching devon arm wrestle he's always been entertaining, you can tell even if he was out matched in strength he's for sure going to get in your head and in the refs head and bend the rules just enough to win his secret weapon is he can last way longer than most dudes, perfect guy to teach you arm wrestling though because he clearly knows everything about the technical side but he's got his own game as well.

I was fortunate enough to attend Brian’s event in York, PA a few weeks back. He is as kind and humble and patient as he is huge! He gave a great motivational speech and spent hours meeting everyone in the audience. If you ever get the chance to attend an event where he is speaking do so! Oh and BTW the cameras do not do Kerry justice. In person she is as beautiful as she is sweet and kind!

Picking up the plate by the hub was impressive. I'm a much smaller guy and therefore smaller hands but spent a lot of time carrying 10" concrete blocks by the center web so used to have a pretty decent grip strength. Never had one of those fancy scales but could max out a bathroom scale with two hands and go past 200lbs with one. No idea how that translates if at all as I never really focused on trying to build grip strength. Probably can't do half of that now, as time and pain are not your friends when it comes to keeping strong.

watching devon arm wrestle he's always been entertaining, you can tell even if he was out matched in strength he's for sure going to get in your head and in the refs head and bend the rules just enough to win his secret weapon is he can last way longer than most dudes, perfect guy to teach you arm wrestling though because he clearly knows everything about the technical side but he's got his own game as well.

I was fortunate enough to attend Brian’s event in York, PA a few weeks back. He is as kind and humble and patient as he is huge! He gave a great motivational speech and spent hours meeting everyone in the audience. If you ever get the chance to attend an event where he is speaking do so! Oh and BTW the cameras do not do Kerry justice. In person she is as beautiful as she is sweet and kind!

Picking up the plate by the hub was impressive. I'm a much smaller guy and therefore smaller hands but spent a lot of time carrying 10" concrete blocks by the center web so used to have a pretty decent grip strength. Never had one of those fancy scales but could max out a bathroom scale with two hands and go past 200lbs with one. No idea how that translates if at all as I never really focused on trying to build grip strength. Probably can't do half of that now, as time and pain are not your friends when it comes to keeping strong.

A HUNDRED AND SIXTY ODD KILOGRAMS IN YOUR GRIP STRENGTH means you can pretty much rip the head off of anything or anyone you want to at any time and that's just a scary skill to have in anyone's eyes. I can't believe that a human can do those numbers but I love to be surprised and I loved this video. I've started to get a bit fed up of Eddie's exaggeration but I'll always watch Brian because he has the most humble personality and is the same as he's always been.
