  • A mini documentary on Paul Kruize, maker of bespoke jeans, shirts and other garments, made by Richard Bussink.
The talented Richard Bussink followed me three days to film the process of making a worker jacket the slow way, from start to finish, from cutting to constructing.
Somewhere between a shirt and a jacket you’ll find the worker jacket. It is unconstructed and it features many hand sewn details such as hand placed patch pockets and hand pick stitching. Of course the buttonholes are hand sewn. The more casual version can be made from a selvedge denim but you can also scale up to a tweed or a flannel that can have lined sleeves. The one made for this video shows something in between, a soft denim with patch pockets and a lined shoulder yoke.
