More Karl's MEET THEIR DOOM! Axis Invasion 14 [Sniper Elite 5]

Join me for this episode where we face off against more brave Karls! Its mostly rifle kills this time as I slowly keep ticking off the kills.

Axis Invasion is a fun game mode where we can invade a single player campaign game mode to attempt to kill the campaign player as invader using a sniper rifle, smg or pistol to prevent them from completing their objectives. Stealth and sneaking is key to avoid detection when hunting the player, phones are scattered around the map that can help the player and invader locate each other. Tagging can also be used to track soldiers and their movements.

Love your play style in these - you are very quick indeed at aim and shoot, its impressive.
To answer maybe 2 of your posers - Q1: -I have 2300 kills in just over 1000 hours. Nearly all of those kills are post the big "update" in August and well over 1000 of these are pistol or melee. So yes it takes time but its the only game I play at the moment and I'm a retired old codger!
Q2: - Why always Atlantic Wall? Well if you check the player's level you'll see 9 times out of 10 these guys are newbies with level 10 or below. Personally I give 'em a chance - eg not getting them as they exit the tunnel then tagging them several times but then it's the pistol or the knife.
I understand why you've redacted those player's names with their rigged maps - I have my own list (inc. the guy on Secret Weapons who has a whole line of trapped bodies across the exits from the lakeside complex) and I've blocked them all. I don't get what they see as rewarding in that play style. BUT if that defuse bug was fixed .................!!

I think it would be cool if you could use the jager uniforms as Karl, it wouldn’t really work with invasion as it would be too hard to tell who Karl actually was. I just love that hooded smock your guy is wearing, and there is nothing like it for Karl.

I've been playing SE5 since release and have never once thought about playing any axis invasion until I started watching your videos.
Imagine my annoyance when I loaded it up on my PS5 last night and found out that I have to pay Sony £50 a year to play anything online.
If I played a lot of online games, fair enough but I literally only have this game and I don't play very often.

As someone who plays 95% singleplayer games on PC and console (I don't own a current gen console, though), I'm with you. It USED to be free on PlayStation, at least it was when I used to very occasionally play Gran Turismo 5 online in the PS3 days, back when Microsoft started the trend of subscriptions for online play with Xbox Live! Now they're all at it, and it absolutely sucks, especially if you don't play many online games.

It would be so cool if Rebellion added a dedicated invasion mode for the host, one that you have to play in one go and where there's time limits for the objectives.
Maybe in the next game? A man can dream 😮‍💨

I've had a guy who trapped all the invader spawns on spy academy and I had the disable bug so they went off and he also shot at me he cleared the map as well

Yeah, back when the game first came out that was my map to farm killing invaders, I never trapped spawns but I would set up a little fighting position. I liked the sniper battles that would sometimes occur, really wish the scope glint and weapon tagging wasn’t a thing or that it was at least toned down some. Never liked the up close fighting, as Karl has wallhacks if he focuses when the jager is nearby.

I always wonder what that sound at 1:08 means, maybe that you’re close?

I used to think that when I first started playing, but watch the icon left of the heart rate monitor on the bottom; It turns bright red when the sound happens. It's the audio cue for invader's 'Stay Sharp' ability becoming available again so you can tag and (temporarily) increase awareness of nearby AI! I also use it immediately after hearing that sound at 1:08 as I know its available again!

@@Nifter71 I’m currently recording the next Axis Invasion and have included an example during the invasion of the sound to explain it clearly, as it seems others thought the same thing I thought several months ago. If you’re hearing it as Karl it’s probably a bug!
EDIT: You can hear it happen again at 4:43 when the 'stay sharp' cooldown ends!

I had a guy a few days ago message me and call me a coward because I refused his rematch request. He spammed the phone as soon as I joined and hunted me down within a minute or two. He wasn't playing the campaign, just spawn killing invaders and he called me a camper! I'm at 750 invasion kills, so I'm not a rook, but he messaged me a screenshot of 4000 kills as Karl! It's not even fun playing that way. And to add he's playing on cadet! Garbage.

The fact that he messaged you to call you a coward for refusing his rematch request is the most appalling part of this. Then bragging about farming 4000 kills is just tragic. I wouldn't entertain such people, block and move on!

@@duckwit85 had the same thing happen to me expect I was invading the guy wasn’t spamming the phone but when I called the phone he would move for like 2 times until he sneaked up behind me and I killed him… but then he wanted a rematch so I denied he then messaged me this
Of course you don’t want to rematch you loser you know you ain’t good… something along the lines like that

@@Bully437 So you beat them and they didn't like it and they felt the need to insult you? Psychology is a complex thing, and some folks just can't take losing. My advice is always move on and leave them to it. The majority of players are sporting and have great attitudes, in my experience, and they are the ones I prefer to focus on!
