What isnt real about the last one? For the life of me i cant understand why people are so picky about free entertainment and free knowledge being passed on
@hammerdick82 this triple decker rehabilitation and all its challenges is exactly what most people will deal with. This is accurate to the original season. Save something most can't. The million dollar renovation are great. But definitely not an accurate representation of the average American home.
It sure helps to have a decisive homeowner........everything can move ahead on schedule. That lady knows what she likes and doesn't hold up the progress on any room. Got to like people like that.
Working on a house this old , you really need to have experience . Horse hair plaster, nothing squared or to a standard. Removing and dealing with hazardous materials . New building codes . And they are on a tight budget. You also need patience . We all may not agree with some of the work but, we are not involved at the level they are . Knowing the history of the people here , they are doing their best . 👍✌️
Standing on the bridge of the sink while working on wall mounted cabinets is not suggested for any type of countertop, especially stone. Also, clamping the wood piece you're cutting vs holding by hand is better practice for those learning which are the same watching your program. Basic safety should be the first taught to you apprentices because they haven't had time to cultivate skills of your level.
How about actually spending more time on the OLD HOUSE aspects such as the casing the window That is what I am looking for, not the appliances but dealing with actual old house issues!! after all this is called this OLD HOUSE!
There are many aspects and details of home remodeling. I agree that the appliance shopping segment was not the most entertaining. However, this is a potential process a homeowner may need to go through in perhaps a kitchen remodel. That being said, i would have much rather seen tommy case the window completely. 😔
The sound on this episode is totally gone. I've confirmed that its not my earbuds. My Pandora works perfectly plus I unplugged my earbuds and the sound is still gone. I've checked the sound settings on my phone there are working as well. It's just this episode that I cannot hear.
Really appreciate these more realistic rehabs. Much more "real" world.

While this may be more common, many people can't even afford this level of reno. Besides, _all_ walks of life make the world go round 🌎
@TOH Keep uploading these full episodes to YT, it's what we all want. Thanks!

There is SO much aesthetic payback on time spent on that window casing. Great teaching/learning experience.
The gap was small enough to caulk and it would look great.
Great tip on the tile, and the window trimming, Tom sure makes it all seem easy. Charles
Thank you for your commitment to teaching us all but especially bringing in the next generation!
I'd like an honest follow up episode. Something tells me neither of them stayed in it.
That tapered pencil line trick was pretty slick
Insane! Id never trust myself lol
@@CalebHensinger I would have liked him to put a straight edge on it to show his accuracy.
Chips counter top with his hammer after installing the filler on the cabinets. Covers with hand while talking 🤣
Blame the "Next Generation" apprentices.

If Nikola Tesla was alive he would be watching this old house episodes 24/7. I love these guys. They are the best for real.
And laughing the whole time.
You guys rock since 2004 I am watching
Slow and go. Just replaced a water heater - stayed Convectional, new style type like they put in $1700-$3000.

So your telling me they dragged 3 large water heaters down to the basement just to show they are not going to use it and yet use something else?
想问一下这个汤姆大叔多少岁了,很敬佩他的工作,很严谨
The English translation of this is hilarious.
No water proofing on the shower, no notched troweling… hmmm Interesting..
It's hard to tell but it looks like they used Laticrete Hydro Ban liquid membrane. It's definitely not the purple drywall, blueboard, or plaster.
In your intro. What in the world is that coming out of the ground?
Rock. They used explosives to break up the rock in the ground.
WTH are they doing putting the Cabinets up when u have to fix them and Stain them I Guess that's what they do in the Getto- Hood Lmmfao 🤡🤣😂😆😅

The way the insurance company nit picks about what to pay for makes me think maybe wait a few minutes before you call the fire department...
