- Reactions are pouring in over Chris Rock's epic takedown of Will Smith in a live Netflix special. Last year, Smith slapped the comedian at the Oscars after he made a comment about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. The reviews are mostly good, with one critic saying 'it was the best takedown ever." Rock was paid $40 million for the one-hour special, which is also the first live event in Netflix history. It took place at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland, which happens to be Jada's hometown.
Chris Rock made lemonade out of the lemons he was given. Imagine making $40 million over a slap!
Is all good! He deserves those 40 mil! He did not deserve to be assaulted and humiliated in front of the whole world. Heck he deserves more!
bro he was contracted to do this show long before the slap. He is going to use the slap in his bits going forward at minimum for the next 10 years or when Smith gets nominated for another Oscar whichever is later.

Overall, the special was good! Iam glad that Chris did not tell his story to Oprah, Gail or none of them (I know Oprah thought she had it in the pocket🙄). He told his story on his own terms with no questions asked and received his own huge paycheck! Smart and brilliant move, Chris! As for the show, it was ok.
