Louis Oliver was a respectable player, but was no Atwater, that’s for sure. Atwater had a free safety’s nose for the ball and a middle linebacker’s hitting power. And appears, by overwhelming consensus, to be a really good dude as well.
This was the most vicious hit by Atwater in that SB, but he had quite a few in that game. Including the sack that caused Favre fumble. Atwater had an awesome game, the best of anyone except for Davis
