did you ever get this running? only reason i ask is you might have been in the middle of a big bore kit install, then up and changed your focus on the starter clutch. meaning, once you are finished with everything... what do you do if it doesn't start??? i would have finished the big bore kit.... rode it for at least a few days before starting the clutch project..... this way if i have issues, they are more manageable!
What does it sound like when the starter clutch goes bad? Mine is making a grinding sound when it runs and I'm trying to figure out what it is.
how do i know if my oil pump is broken ?? and if i upgrade the scooter to 80cc do i has to change the oil pump ???

What are the torque specs for the 8mm bolts on the starter clutch cover? Why does the gy6 manual not include this information?
Go easy! When working with aluminium be very careful. Do 12lbs....snug
@@richiedemartino68 whoa took 9 years for a response. I think I tried 12 on the cover and stripped one of them.
My starter clutch slips when i engage the electric start so i opend the case and thought i would find broken teeth..the starter clutch moves back and forward ..im guessing thats not normal..do i just need a new washer to hold it in place it seems the old one is worn down and the gear is able to move up on top of it.

how often does the chain need replacing? its like $7 on ebay so its cheap as but i dont know the service interval for them.

Buddy, my gy6 engine had a noise that sounded like a crankshaft crank, replaced the crankshaft, and a short time later the noise returned.
Could you give us a hint?
Sometimes in low rooting the noise disappears.
