This might be my most favorite Blender video that I've seen to date. Thank you so much for doing this! I had no idea how many incredible tools I was missing by limiting myself to so few brushes.
I have blender open and trying to replicate each example but can't get past 0:25 seconds :( I don't know if it is the size of my plane, the resolution or the size of my brush (???) I tried with a sphere and the draw tool barely makes an indentation that is hard to see. I am so lost
Thank you for explaining the 'Area Radius' setting for the Scrape and the Fill brushes and that it is used in the calculation of the sculpt plane height. That was very useful!
Wow, absolutely superb breakdown of the brushes. I had no idea the settings in each brush allowed so much variation. Your excellent video got me really excited about sculpting in Blender again. Thank you!
Thank you! I agree, it's pretty crazy how you can customize some brushes. It would be cool if you could make brush profiles to save different brush setting presets.
why the automatic closed caption is in dutch language? :/ im hearing impaired and relied highly on subtitles.. there is a fix i heard, go to video language and set to english united states thank you!
Great exaplantions. Definitely a video to bookmark ! Although I still don't get the use of the flatten brush... and even less why it's even called "flatten" when it just doesn't behave at all like what we'd expect. Moreover, the default click and Ctrl click actions have very different behavior, doesn't look like the usual "reverse" effect. Weird brush really.
New Subscriber, love this video I will rewatch & save. Questions. I have a Mac M1 desktop. I am trying to indent into my surface, & it’s not working. I get the blue circles & or dots when I press option or control & nothing happens. Are you using a drawing pad or mouse in this video. Does it matter?
Hi Can u paint a sculpt model in sculpting tab Is there any specific brush called "paint brush " to paint a sculpt without the use of vertex or texture paint
brush is not working in my blender plz suggest my something which cause this. i m in sculpting mode taking brush n use it on cube. but its not working.
Sculpting affects the vertices of a model. So with a plain cube you can only affect the corners. You can either subdivide it, press CTRL+R in sculpt mode or start with a different mesh like a UV sphere. :)
Press down and hold on the box mask icon. Every brush that has that little triangle at the bottom right of its icon has multiple variations you can choose between. :)
@@Noggi_3D My thinking is, it might save you from having to retopo or shrinkwrap, or at least maybe reduce the time, especially the 'Bane mask (comic)' and 'raccoon mask' for animation.
please dont delete this. this is amazingly helpful to us that use sculpting tools
I won't, I promise. :D
@@Noggi_3D you might have update the video since Blender 4.0 includes even more tools. Thank you for sharing!

Yes!! ... i have been hoping someone would do this along with the mask tools. I will definitely be watching this one more than once ! Thank you !!!!
My pleasure. I'm glad this video is as helpful to you as it was for me, creating it. :)
We need a "Brush" count.
I feel like I just got hit with propaganda it has been repeated so many times.

isnt there something like a noise brush? to create random detail?
My first instinct in my head was "yes". But I don't think that exists yet. Maybe if they enabled textures for the Mesh Filter Brush. :)
K, I now actually feel a lot dumber than before.
Not saying the tut is bad, quite the opposite.

They took everything zbrush is, added some new features and simplified it. For free
And it keeps getting better. :D
Ooooh, the Scale option of the Elastic Grab brush. That one is a game changer. This video is incredibly useful.
There are a lot of these hidden gems in the individual brush settings. It was honestly surprising. :)
this was great, I really appreciat it.
I don't sculpt in blender, but thanks to you I'll start doing it
Awesome! Have fun. :)
Hi,my brushes are inactive in blender 3.0,what should I do.
What do you mean inactive? It could be the strength, or maybe you've selected another object.
excelent tutorial!
Just got Blender to sculpt some keycaps. This video helped me so much. Thanks Noggi!
My pleasure. :)
@@ don't even know that , very nice
Didn't realise there was 40+ dam
There are so many specialized brushes that you almost never use, that you don't even see them at some point. :D

How come your scuplting tools are more better/advanced then what I have on blender, When I go scuplt on plane it doesn't do the funni
Does your plane have enough geometry? :)
@@Noggi_3D Idk
@@Noggi_3D I'm on 3.0 version but it doesn't work, When I clicked geometry it didn't do anything. Could you tell me how? 😅

Do you have every tools in edit mode explanation ?
Maybe at some point. :)

Mouse or tablet doesn't matter. Is your strength high enough? Maybe the controls are slightly different on an iMac.
Really explained the tools. Great video
awesome

12:47 your mention, "you don't hold the brush, you tap it", can you elaborate on how to do this?
like clicking with a mouse, but using a pen. :)
i didnt expecting this as good as this is
love your animations

how do you add the lasso mask as an icon to your brush options?
Press down and hold on the box mask icon. Every brush that has that little triangle at the bottom right of its icon has multiple variations you can choose between. :)
Haven't YET subscribed, but your vids are great, especially this one. I really would like more info on the slide relax tool though.
Thank you. Do you have specific questions I might be able to answer? :)
Not really. I just noticed it's quite an interesting brush, maybe to use with Multires instead of dyntopo, but no one is covering it.
@@desmondnel5706 It seems like a brush that is very useful for a very specific niche. :D

@@desmondnel5706 It could be a good brush for when you've already retopoed, and you want to shift vertices around.
question, how do you like separate the mesh in quarters
Do you mean separating the mesh into 4 pieces? :D
