Tips on how to remove/install the baffle.
The baffle is extremely easy to install/remove, just be careful about the bolt not falling inside, that is its only difficult part.
Very informative video. Thanks for showing the difference in sounds. I will be definitely putting my db killer in.
A magnet would work to retrieve the bolt as well. I dropped mine in my exhaust and there was no way to reach it so I used a magnetic on the outside
It's aluminum
@@michaelapplewhite1923 well the bolt for mine definitely wasn’t aluminum.
Did you tune the carb/jetting for installing aftermarket muffler like this?
No. It is just a slip on.
Any chance you have sound different with without db killer on 600?
Great video theinternetguy100. Sounds great. I have a question. I just installed this type of pipes on my zx14r. The inner hole has a piece of metal covering the inner hole. Did you just knock it out or how did you get it out? Thanks again.
+Jim Bailey Yea you have to knock it out, then you'll be able to secure the silencer with the screw.
thanks that was helpful
I worked out that if you feed the screw from the inside the sleeve you don't have to cut or knock out that metal piece and can make for a quick release sleeve as I didn't want to have to make a hole cause I didn't want the heat or anything to affect the rubber bung and cause I like the deep rumble didn't want to leave in all the time so when I come home at 1-2am I don't annoy anyone and only takes 20sec to install
So how do I get it out?
Did you get it out after all this time? How's it sound
Did you get it out yet?
I would jus use like a magnet pen or one that swivels
On my akro the set screw is on the side and it DOES drop all the way down into the “skin” and you have to get it out like a guitar pick if you know what I mean lol
Do you even need the screw? Cant you just put it in looks like its pretty tight there anyways
Hi , what baffle is it , pls advice
The one it comes with
why silencer yoshi exhaust is too quiet anyways
For this bike, sold now, I thought it was a little too loud, or obnoxious without it. With it being a two cylinder bike I though the pitch was a little to harsh. I ride a 600 now, with a yoshimura and no silencer in it. With that 600 being four cylinder I find the sound much more smooth. I chose yoshimura because it is one of the quieter exhausts out there and won't drone on you when riding for extended periods of time. I wanted an exhaust louder than stock, but not annoyingly loud.
Any idea where to buy this silencer from? Can only find it on one ebay store for like $80 haha..
The baffle? It should come with it.
@@theinternetguy100 holy canoli, winner of longest time to reply hahaha
Do you know the size of the muffler?
Thanks for the vid. Do you know the part number by any chance. I ordered what I thought was the right part, but it wasn't :(
In real life, does it make a big difference in sound?
Yes
I have this muffler it didn’t come with the insert do I need it does it lose performance with out or is it just for a more quiet sound
doug DouglasB where did you get it? It should have come with it if you bought it new. It quiets the sound.
Whats the difference between trc and r77? And does the crooked baffle reduce the sound more?
TRC is a bit louder, deep. R77 isn't as loud, but has more of that F1 sound. I had a full TRC on my 09 gsxr 750 and it sounded good, but went with the full R77 on my 17 gsxr 750 and I like the R77 more.
My exhaust doesn’t have the rubber grommet or the screw..
Mine has neither. But looking behind the carbon endcap i can see a bolt. It's in the same place as here on the video. No hole/cap though... Should i drill a hole there?
Thankyou
What tool are you using to remove the baffle??
Ydeeeee hex key
theinternetguy100 are you sure it’s not a torx key?
Ydeeeee those are the same thing. Just different name. Google it.
theinternetguy100 no they’re not. A hex and a Allen key are the same, a torx has the same shape as a hex/Allen but it has a hole instead of being flat
Ydeeeee then you already know what tool to use.
The YOSH insert is a BITCH to get in, and even WORSE to try and get back out. You are extremely lucky yours was that easy.
mem5922 explain how it was difficult to get out. The only bad part I had was when the screw fell inside.
