    I have not had any success in curling my hair BUT your the only UA-camr whom uses the hot tools AND you go slow enough that I can actually see what your doing with the hot tools. I watched a tutorial before yours and the lady was going so fast that I couldn’t tell if she was putting her hair inside the clamp or over it. I seem to be having difficulties with turning the hot tools with my hair in it but I think that is more ME getting the technique down and I think if I keep practicing by watching your tutorial enough times I will get it. Thank you so very much for going slow enough that old fogeys like me can follow along and thank you for talking and telling us the clamp starts off in the front. I found your tutorial to be the best I have seen on UA-cam. I have the exact hot tools as you. 🥰

    This was the most informative tutorial I have found on UA-cam for hair curling! Thank you for all the detailed advice, getting to the point, and not for wasting time talking about other things! ha.

    I know this video is old, but your method of sectioning and spraying helped me have curls that stayed for probably the first time ever in history. And I’m 54 years old!! I actually made tighter curls, figuring they’d fall, and they did, but not much. I have very fine hair, but a ton of it. It took an hour, half a bottle of hairspray, the addition of clips to help keep the curls, and I think I killed my curling iron…. but it worked! I went to my husband’s company party with pretty curls. Thank you!!

    Your video is best! I love these curls and am a beginner with curling my fine and thin hair. I love getting my hair done curled at my local salon . However, I wanted to do it at home. When I found your video it was perfect because you explain and show everything so I can understand. Thank you so much! I love your dog!

    Thank you for one of the easiest and hopefully the most attainable beachy wave tutorials on UA-cam! Most of the videos I watched were much to complicated and used way too many products that I don’t have at the moment. This is my very first GNO tonight since quarantine so I’m going to give beachy waves a try this evening. Thank you 🙏🏻!

      Victoria Romano She is amazing isn’t she? The one I watched before this one was hard to follow along. She was going so fast that I couldn’t see what she was doing with the clamp and she didn’t go into detail like this lady did. When I started watching this one I breathed a sigh of relief when she talked slowly enough and actually spoke to us about how to hold the curling iron etc before she actually showed us the technique. That was extremely helpful. 🥰

    • @JennHunter
      @JennHunter  7 років тому

      Cathy Reese I have fine hair, so I set it between 350 and 400. (5-7) for more coarse hair, I'd set it to 400 or 450

    Hey great video - huge thanks! I am wondering about the hairspray trick...I have fine hair and don’t want to frizz up my hair; it is very fragile (though not as bad as it could be). So: what kind of hairspray is it, normal holding spray or a specific heat protector spray? Thank you in advance, and for this super video - I’m new to tongs, never use straighteners anymore.

    • @JennHunter
      @JennHunter  7 років тому

      brockit79 the one I am using in the video is considered a strong hold, however, compared to others that I've used, it's more of a medium hold. I have very fine and fragile hair, and so I find that a medium hold works well to hold the curl, but also not cake up and way down my hair.
      If you're looking for other brands that are great, Kenra's Ultra Freeze Spray (30) is one of my favorites!

      Sana Sopariwala 350-400 for my hair, I would suggest higher for thicker hair, lower for thinner
