See you paid attention. Dr. Erskine's serum worked on Steve Rogers for 2 reasons. 1. Steve was a good man. No demons hiding in his closet. 2. When Dr. Erskine injects Steve with the serum, Steve is exposed to Vita-Rays. The Vita-Rays act as a stabilizing agent to allow the serum to work properly. When Bruce was experimenting on the serum he thought that Gamma Rays was the key to unlocking a viable serum. Problem is, Bruce has some demons in his closet. In the comics over the years more and more of Bruce's backstory has been developed. In the comics Bruce had an abusive father. He was abused a lot. So the comics hint at Bruce being somewhat on the D.I.D. spectrum. Meaning: Dissociative Identity Disorder. A second personality, the Hulk. After being exposed to the Gamma Rays that second personality is released as the Hulk. It reinforces what Dr. Erskine originally stated in the Captain America movie: good becomes great, bad becomes worse. But that is the working theory from some of the fans of how Marvel combined the comics and movies to give the MCU Hulk a more updated origin story. In the original comics in the 60's Banner was accidentally exposed to gamma radiation from a radioactive bomb mishap. By the way, the Security Guard that Bruce gives the pizza to so he could get into the college to get his data, that is none other than Lou Ferrigno. Lou Ferrigno played the original Hulk in "The Incredible Hulk" 70's tv show. Absolutely loved your reactions so far and subscribed to watch you on your MCU journey. Great commentary.
My working theory is that Banner's formula takes what is most suppressed and frees it. Banner's repressed anger and Blonski's aggression. My theory is based on something from the comics where to be a Hulk is to be uncontrolled.
"Bad becomes worse" yea... that would explain she hulk accurately.
Cara que belo comentário satisfatório!!
Cara que belo comentário satisfatório!!
Bro shut up
Fun fact! The security guard seen at 10:25 is the original Hulk from the tv-series. Lou Ferrigno. And, is also the voice for Hulk in this movie.
The also had Bill Bixby (OG Banner) on the TV.
I think this Hulk is the best. And also I wish they kept Norton as the Hulk.
I reallyyyyy liked Norton in this one!
@@kaylyptic yea me too. He did an amazing job with the part.
This & the first Ant-Man are severely underrated MCU entries & are both personal favorites of mine. Still pissed that this has been the only Hulk MCU film & honestly wish we’d gotten a sequel that would have integrated She-Hulk before the TV series
Glad you enjoyed this one. It doesn't get much love as some of the other MCU movies, but I think it is still enjoyable.
The purple yoga pants was an inside joke as that is what The Hulk always wore in the comics early on.
*Hulk Mainline Continuity Origin (Earth-616)*
So Hulk really has two origins depending on the source. In the original Earth-616 (Mainline Marvel Universe) origin story depicted in The Incredible Hulk (May 1962) Bruce Banner is working for the United States Defence Department nuclear research facility at Desert Base, New Mexico. Here he meets General Thaddeus E. "Thunderbolt" Ross and his Daughter Betty Ross who both show up in this film as well. Bruce designed and oversaw the construction of the "gamma bomb" which is pretty much a nuclear weapon that has a high gamma radiation output.
Later in the story they test the bomb with Banner being present at the instrumentation bunker at the test site where he observed a civilian breaching the security and entering the restricted test area. Bruce then caught up with the civilian who turned out to be a teenager named Rick Jones. Banner threw Jones into a protective trench but before Banner could get himself to safety, the gamma-bomb detonated, and intense waves of radiation hit the surface irradiating him highly-charged radioactive particles. And thus the Hulk was born, also links heavily to the Cold War setting with the comic being released in the 1960s.
*Ultimate Hulk Origin (Earth-1610)*
But there is another Origin Story that was introduced in Ultimate Marvel Team-Up #2 (2001) set in the Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610). Some context, Marvel wanted to way to tell fresh stories with a younger cast of characters, try to recapture the golden age of Marvel. So in the year 2000 they created the Ultimate Universe starting with Ultimate Spider-Man. This universe would be a reimagined and modernized take on Marvel characters, bringing their origins and stories into the 2000s such as Spider-Man, X-MEN, and Avengers, or the Ultimate's as their own in this universe. These would be set beyond the mainline Marvel continuity of Earth-616 so anything was open to change and it was a fresh new start for a next generation of readers who wanted an easy way into Marvel comics.
So for Hulk his origin story was changed to connect more to S.H.I.E.L.D and the Super Solider Serum. In this Nick Fury, gathers the best genetic engineers in an attempt to recreate the Super-Soldier Serum which of course was used to create Captain America decades in the past. Bruce Banner was one of these scientists who worked on trying to perfected the serum but he never shared his findings with the other engineers. Bruce tested the serum upon himself and mutated into the Hulk and destroyed the laboratory and heavily wounded Mary and Richard Parker in the process. This all taking place around 15 years before his introduction in the modern day setting of the Ultimate Universe so Hulk has been around for a while.
*MCU Hulk Origin (Earth-199999 or Earth-616 depending on the source)*
For the MCU they kind of pull from both of these ideas. Banner was tasked by Thaddeus Ross to recreate the Super Soldier Serum which is similar to the Ultimate Universe only difference being he was commissioned by Thaddeus Ross instead of Nick Fury. In his Earth-616 origin we have the Thaddeus Ross connection as he oversaw the nuclear research facility. During the experiment, Banner substituted vita radiation for gamma radiation and administered the serum on himself which turned him into the Hulk. So this again is like a mix of the two. The serum idea is pulled from the Ultimate Origin while Banner being exposed to gamma radiation is similar to the Earth-616 origin. He then went on the run for Five years and this is where this film picks up from.
This is the MCU summed up they pulled heavily from Earth-616 but they also pull from the Ultimate Universe as well which makes sense as it was a modern take on these characters just like the MCU. Iron Man for example whole origin story is pulled from Earth-616 just change the time period and setting from 1960s Vietnam to 2008 Afghanistan and it's pretty much the same. And of course the MCU also puts it's own spin on everything to fit into it's events and take on the characters.
Why not let her discover this stuff for herself instead of spoiling it?! I hate big mouths.
@@fullmoonprepping4024 Calm down. This is mere background stuff, nothing is spoiled.
Over the years there have been a few origin stories for the Hulk. My favorite was for the TV series. Bruce was in a car accident and his wife was trapped under it. She died and he was traumatized. He had heard of people doing incredible feats of strength to save loved ones. Being a brilliant scientist, looking into meteorology reports on those day he discovered high levels of gamma radiation. He made a serum to help his cells absorb and retain gamma rays then put himself in front of a gamma ray machine. Accident happens, HULK! The big guard he gave a free pizza to was Lou Forrigno World Champion body builder. They painted him green and was the Hulk after the little guy got hurt or beat up. Loved the show when l was a kid.
I'm glad you've decided to stick with release order. As someone who does some writing myself, I feel that people who recommend chronological order to new viewers don't understand the creation process (this applies to scientific and other non-fiction papers too). Writing anything takes time and no matter how organised you are details will change. This applies even more so to long series. Release order is writing order. It shows the evolution of the idea with later scripts taking earlier ones into account.
Chronological order can be fun for a second watch, but it also highlights mistakes and changes. Moreover, many reveals and twists don't make as much sense without the meta-knowledge of having previously seen the films.
Love your comments!
Three formers Hulks/Banners make cameos: Bill Bixby who played Banner in the seventies and eighties appears on the TV Bruce is watching earlier on, Lou Ferrigno who played Hulk along side Bixby and voiced Hulk in this and some animated series and finally Paul Soles who plays Stanley was the original voice actor of both Banner and Peter Parker / Spiderman in the sixties.
The Incredible Hulk is my favorite MCU film!
Fun Fact: The security guard at the university is the original Hulk/Banner from the Marvel TV show form the 70s/80s.
fun fact: the guy with the glasses at the university is mr. harrington from the tom holland spider-man movies
23:53 that’s where I’m from ❤😊 Born and raised. Still remember Edward Norton came to town. Went tubing down the Bella coola river 😎 👍🏽
Such an underrated movie and so glad to see that some characters from this movie are starting to return to the MCU with Captain America 4, your reactions are awesome and hilarious especially your reaction to Blonksy injury LOL, awesome content on the channel i just subbed to the channel i do movies and tv series reviews over on my channel too
Super Glue was originally developed as a 'liquid bandage' :P
Also, the original 70s TV show made that line "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry" famous.
Dr. Sam Stearns becomes the Leader due to his exposure, a classic comic villain who gains super intelligence and the ability to shoot gamma blasts from his hands. He becomes one of Hulk's main nemeses.
I'd also like to say that with the state of the world as it is (shitty), there's something very appealing of just letting everything go and becoming a giant green rage-monster :P
the security guard Bruce gave pizza to was the original 90s Hulk actor
From this….to "smart Hulk". PAIN.
Loved your reaction to my favorite hulk Edward norton captured Bruce tortured soul like no other
@Kaylyptic The security guard at the university that Banner brought the pizza to was the original Hulk from the old TV show.
Going release order is the best plan
I’m glad I switched plans 😂😭
The movie's intro, Culver University, and the witness named Jack McGee are all nods to the iconic 70s/80s Incredible Hulk tv series starring Lou Ferrigno(who just happens to be the security guard Bruce gives the pizza to) and the late Bill Bixby.
"Super Glue" was originally invented to aid in the Battle Field so soldiers could close their wounds before the medics could get to them.
The "Buff" Security Guard is Lou Ferrigno... he WAS the Hulk in the 70's (Bill Bixby {RIP} was Bruce Banner),
If you didn’t know the security guard they got the pizza at the University is Lou Ferrigno from the TV show Incredible Hulk
Kaylyptic! awesome review. I pretty much had the same reactions you did. Your channel is growing so fast. I think it's going hard to keep up with all the comments from your fans/subscribers and doing your own editing. Keep up with your balance with home/life/UA-cam. Thanks so much Michael :) Hopefully I can reach my goal of quitting my day-to-day job so that I can fully focus on this channel as it grows! I’m loving the community that is starting to form here. As always, thanks so much for watching everything I’ve been putting out!

Thank you so much!!! 🥺😁
Just subscribed to your channel; and I love your reaction here. You should know that there are a number of call-backs and references to The Incredible Hulk TV Series of the 70’s. While you may now know that the security guard Banner bribes with the pizza is the original Hulk, Lou Ferrigno, there are a few others:
- Early in the movie as Banner was watching TV, he stops on a show where a guy is getting hit in the face. The show was The Courtship of Eddie’s Father, and it starred Bill Bixby; who played David Banner on the show.
- The “green eyes” that appear when Banner transforms is a nod to the “white eyes” transformations from the show.
- The university where Banner goes to; Culver University, is a nod to the Culver Institute where David Banner worked in the pilot episode of the series.
- The student who recorded the fight between the Hulk and the Army was named Jack McGee. Jack McGee was the name of the reporter who pursued David Banner and the Hulk on the TV series.
If you’re intrigued, you should look into the pilot episode of the show to see for yourself.
The soldiers were using tranq darts so when they shot those 2 dogs they were just rendered unconscious. I’m not saying what they did was right but if it’s to knock them out or kill I would say the first option is ok. Also the secret experiment that the general tasked Bruce with but didn’t tell him the details of was the general wanted him to recreate Dr. Erskine’s super soldier serum that turned lanky Steve Rogers into Captain America. But because Dr. Erskine’s formula was only in his head the one that Bruce used plus using the Gamma radiation created The Hulk.
Thank u for doing it in release order that is the best way love your reaction videos keep doing cant wait for more Marvel

Congratulations on breaking the 4 digit seal with 1k subs !! 🎉 The rate of growth is honestly blowing my mind, in a good way, being someone who's been around since they were 350-something a few days ago 😂
This was a decent movie, and it really gave some background and a good story on the Hulk. It's crazy to think that it's essentially the same thing that made Captain America and Hulk who they are. And I really enjoyed your reaction and review to it, and hope you keep making more videos like this one 😊 they're enjoyable. Plus in this case it's marvel, so you're already in for a wild ride!
Just a little doubt, how much of the MCU have you seen?? Cuz you seem to know a great deal about it in your commentary
Thanks so much! 😁
I’ve seen some movies out of order. So far I’ve only reacted to The First Avenger and Iron Man 1 on this channel.
Outside of the channel, I’ve seen Black Widow, Shang-Chi and Multiverse of Madness whenever they released. I have a bunch of family and friends that are into MCU so I just happened to watch those ones. But, I’ve never really had interest to watch everything until now. I want to finally understand the universe and see how everything ties together
While most people consider it non-canon to the MCU and the general consensus I get is that it's a bad movie, I actually really like Ang Lee's Hulk from 2003. It actually does a decent set up for Hulk in general. It even touches on the abusive dad/repressed childhood memories/D.I.D. spectrum that @jonroberts3392 touched on.
I personally still like it and consider it canon, with the only differences being what is shown in this movie's opening flashback and the sprinkled in talks & showings regarding how the experiment was sent up and how it went, otherwise I consider the rest of that movie canon. Plus, at least to me, it decently actually sets up this movie pretty well as far as why we start in Portugal. Also, at least to me, it slightly informs why he reacts to the lightning like he does when he's with Betty in the little cave. :3
Also the purple pants are a jab at the fact that in most of Hulk's depictions, he has purple pants because of the typical color composition of having green and purple as complementary colors.
Also to be fair about the serum "good = great; bad = worse" thing, the impression is that Schmidt/Red Skull was the latter, but yes it DOES apply to Blonsky/Abomination and to an extent Banner/Hulk. But like I said, Jon touched on the details.
Not a lot of Marvel fans know this but at 20:10 in the video Samuel Sterns becomes the Leader.
In the comics the Leader is a arch-enemy of the Hulk.
He’s coming back in the future.
@@ricardoortiz4870 I know that

RIP always to William Hurt, who plays General Thaddeus Ross!
I came across your "Captain America: The First Avenger" reaction a couple days ago on my UA-cam feed. Watched it, and immediately loved it. I've already watched your "Iron Man" movie as well. Loved it. And you got an instant sub from me.
When I first got into the MCU, I only knew Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner aka the Hulk as well. And after watching this movie several times, I really like Edward Norton's performance as Bruce and the Hulk. And I love Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky aka the Abomination.
And always be sure to check out the end credit scene. And starting with "The Avengers" there will start being either a mid-credit scene and/or just a post-credit scene.
Up Next: "Iron Man 2".
Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
RIP William 😔 He did amazing in this movie.
Thank you so much for keeping up with the reaction series so far! Did I miss the credit scene for this one? It didn’t pop up for me :( I even watched all of the credits just in case LOL. I did have to rent it off of Prime so I’m not sure. Unless if there isn’t an ending credit scene at all for this one? Anyway, I did heavily enjoy the ending credit scene for Iron Man 😁
@@kaylyptic No there wasn't one for this movie. I always thought that the scene with Ross and Tony was it. But I Googled it, and that was just the actual last scene of the movie.
There will be a post-credit scene for "Iron Man 2" though. 😊
"You're so analytical. Sometimes you just have to let art... flow... over you..." He is GREATLY missed.
I'm hoping Bill will be replaced by Ted Levine (most famous for his "Silence of the Lambs" "Buffalo Bill" portrayal.) He does a great "General/Military Head" and can you imagine THAT face on the "Red Hulk?"
@@randeecarreno4289 thank you!! i wanted to make sure i didn’t miss out haha. the ending scene with tony here was great 😌

It might be best to add in the first 2 or 3 of the Spider-Man films before Avengers. While Spider-Man movies were licensed to another studio, and so are not part of the MCU, when Marvel gets the characters back, they do assume that the audience knows of the events in those films, and so it make sense to blend them in, if you haven't seen them.
The Spider-man films are:
Spider-Man (2002)
Spider-Man 2 (2004)
Spider-Man 3 (2007)
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

Your tattoos are cool & happy to see more people getting into marvel & DC stuff ^^. & you can do whatever order you want for the movies but release order isn’t bad
Thank you so much! :))
A lil tidbit the security guard bruce was talking to played the hulk in the old incredible hulk tv show from the late 70s early 80s. Lou ferrigno. Emil blonski after getting kicked to a tree had the version of a serum a lil different from captain America but he still has a rapid healing factor like steve has.
Yeah, release order is best. Timeline order is only great after you've seen all the movies cause then you catch a couple more easter eggs and little links.
An amazing, sadly underrated movie. And the only one in which we see the real Hulk...
This is a lot of people's favorite incredible Hulk. I prefer Mark Ruffalo but you can decide that when you're all caught up. Another great reaction. Keep em rollin and drop some of the Boys too. Have a great weekend ☺️

The MCU is like Star Wars... The Release dates make the next one even Better, but the timelines gives us reveal hidden facts we had to discover (and poses issues for the ones released (For Star Wars it was "the Family Tree" and for the MCU it was an issue for when they came up with Shield's name). In Future Movies (but from "the Past") they refer to themselves as S.H.I.E.L.D" BEFORE they shortened it in Iron Man 1...
How much of a mindfuck would it be to transform in Brazil then wake up in your original form in Guatemala?!
My guess is that Hulk can leap two miles at a time.
With Liv Tyler returning as Betty Ross in Captain America Brave New World, the only one left to return to the MCU is Ty Burrell.
The dog was tranqualized not killed.
Yeah, I think I got distracted during the scene where it was mentioned that they were using tranquilizers because I didn’t realize in the moment 😔
Glad someone finally said it, I was gonna 😏
@Kaylyptic Banner was experimenting with gamma rays and something happened where he got infected.
Bruce Banner's original story is sad as it deals with a man who struggles to contain this violent and raging monster within him, his absolute faith in science created the monster and now his faith in science leads him to fight in vain for it. a cure at the end however, he realizes that the "cure" is to accept the monster within,to learn to control it because it is simply a part of him that will never be separated and destroyed without destroying himself.
You will be disappointed in how the MCU treated him after this movie.
Does anyone notice that not one of these people would see if the hulk was real, the benefits on HULKs blood samples. Maybe it's just weird to me, not hulk
I'm still amazed at how many ''new reactor'' mistakes you've avoided. I think you were born for this stuff!
Ahhh thank you! That’s so kind 😁 Hopefully I can continue to avoid them haha
@Kaylyptic Sorry I should explain a little bit. Here are a few examples I noticed of common mistakes new reactors seem to make. Some improve, others weren't cut out for this.
1. Too quiet. Stare at screen. Boring.
2. Poor public speaking/presenter skills.
3. Talk over important dialogue, miss important events
4. Repeating whats going on onscreen.
5. Poor editing
6. Come off as insincere. Acting.
the timeline order is for those who have already watched all the Phase 1-3 films..to watch it in a different perspective..but for first time watchers, release order is the way..
for any comfort, they shot the dogs with tranquilizers..hehehe..
great reaction K..
next is Iron Man 2..
okay, thank you 😭 i really didn’t realize what they were shot with. i think i’m still traumatized from John Wick LOL! Thanks so much for watching, I’ll see you for Iron Man 2!
If you want a bit more backstory, this is technically a sequel to the Hulk movie that came out in 2003. I don't think it's officially recognized as such, but this movie picks up where that one left off.
It might seem that way but this movie isn't actually a sequel. The intro completely retcons the 2003 hulk and this movie was never intended to be a sequel
@@jacobcostanza2772 more like remake and sequel once
sequel because they contiune story
remake because they want make this movie in new MCU universe
so we can name this requel
Yes, "release order is best." However, I think the "Super Soldier" theme in "The Incredible Hulk" makes it better to watch AFTER "The First Avenger" for those who are not comic book aficionados. Beyond that, "time line order" can potentially REALLY screw things up.
Yes! Not gonna lie, watching The First Avenger before this one made me more excited about the whole “Super Soldier” theme. Because we can see an actual villain in action with the serum working inside of him like the way it “should”. Plus, they mention the WWII project briefly in a scene which was cool! But now, I am going to stick to release order :)
Great commentary! I also think that Norton’s Hulk is the best Hulk. He’s just so much more menacing and emotionally compelling than Ruffalo’s Hulk. They may technically be the same Hulk, but Norton’s Hulk is far more superior than Ruffalo’s Hulk imo.
Glad you're going on release order now. While time-line order is alright it's best done on re-watch. I am enjoying these reactions and cant wait to see more, keep up the good work and quality reactions ❤
Aka I had to watch timeline order so you do too. Honestly it really doesn't matter until Phase 3. That's where release order gets confusing and cinematic is better.
@John Green there are a bunch of post credits that spoil and / or confuse first-time viewers if you do time-line order first. I've seen it happen before with some reactors. I'm always a firm believer of release order in any franchise in first viewing simply because it was either the plan from the start or because the flow is just better sometimes.
:( I wished you would do it in timeline order honestly.
0:44 - Yeah, Edward Norton proved to be a "problem" during production. He wanted to have his finger in every part of the production pie - writing, editing, etc. - that Marvel/Disney was only too happy to replace him.
1:04 - This movie is the only appearance of Bruce Banner's greatest love, Betty Ross. She'll get no more appearances or even mentions after this. In the comics... oy vey... Betty and Bruce's relationship is enough drama to keep a soap opera running for DECADES!
1:37 - Angry, anxious, and, for some reason in this movie, "aroused."
1:50 - (Sorry for all of these early back-to-back comments.) "Oh, he's an electrician, too." You're cute. Dr. Bruce Banner has seven PhD's. SEVEN! That's just nutty.🤪
2:42 - This is a callback to the live-action TV show, "The Incredible Hulk," in which he tells a reporter, "Mr. McGee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry." (Yes, I have that memorized since childhood.)
3:26 - No, his blood inside someone else is deadly... unless they're related to Bruce, and then... Y'know what? You'll find out... maybe. Oh, and it's supposedly okay for Dr. Samuel Sterns..., and Emile Blonksy..., and... Okay, superhero movies play it fast a loose with the rules.
3:46 - Way to ruin the movie for yourself. 🤣
3:58 - GET JOHN WICK ON THE PHONE, DAMMIT! 😉
4:12 - Tranquilizer darts, my dear. General said it on the flight in. Dog will be fine.
5:35 - The odds are 1:1. Screenwriting 101: Don't put anything in your script that won't have a payoff later. (Hi, peripheral WGA Member here. VERY peripheral.😉)
7:17 - It's the comic book version of Jekyll and Hyde, a commentary on the duality of man, and other such deep thoughts. You can actually find a lot of deeper subjects lying beneath comic books. X-Men is about segregation. Superman is about immigration and adoption. Batman is about loss. Captain America is about idealism. And so on.
*(I warned you my comments could be essays! Wait until you post episodes of "Reacher"!)
8:05 - Yeah, you don't cast Liv Tyler and then kill her off screen.
8:53 - Brace yourself. This is going to be a big one. The movie says that they were hoping to replicate the Super Soldier Program that made Captain America, and that, like all slightly mad scientists, Dr. Banner tried it on himself.
In the comics, and I mean A LOT of comics, there was an underlying theme about the fears of radiation, incidental exposure to it, and what it could do to us. Many heroes born from radioactive something-or-other occurred in the 60's, when America was fearing that Russia would plant gobs of nuclear missiles in Cuba. (It's even part of the main plot in the movie "X-Men: First Class".) While testing a gamma bomb in the New Mexico desert, a teenager named Rick Jones drove out into the middle of the testing field. Banner rushed out there and covered Jones with his own body during the detonation. Irradiated Banner = Hulk.
In the TV series (1977 to 1982), Dr. DAVID Banner was trying to tap into the hidden potential he believed all humans had and bombarded himself with gamma radiation.
~ gasp, wheeze, pant ~ Told you it'd be a lot. 😉
10:26 - This security guard is none other than Lou Ferrigno, the man that played the Hulk in the aforementioned TV series.🙂
11:05 - Betty's new beau is supposed to be Dr. Leonard Sampson, who ALSO becomes a gamma irradiated hero, Doc Sampson. Muscular, resistant to harm, and long, green hair. Because gamma radiation makes things green, I guess.😉
13:00 - The Super Soldier Serum brings a normal person to the peak of human physical performance without requiring the work. So Captain America is strong, fast, and agile, but not at superhuman levels. The same applies to Blonsky.
14:27 - Amplified sound waves. Heightened sound can be incredibly dangerous. The clicks of a sperm whale can reach 230 decibels. As per Roaring Earth, "For reference, a jet engine from 100 feet away produces about 140 decibels. At around 150 decibels your eardrums will burst, and the threshold for death is estimated to be in the range of 180 to 200."
16:19 - This is a less than subtle wink that the Hulk's pants tend to be purple in the comics.
16:59 - Dr. Samuel Sterns becomes The Leader, a hyper-intelligent green person, (because gamma = green, remember?), and a nemesis of the Hulk. Did I mention he gets a giant head? Yeah, he gets a giant head.😁
19:44 - "Abomination" is the big bad's name in the comics.
20:12 - And so an iconic villain is born in the MCU, never to be seen again. Many a nerd cried out in frustration for this tease.
23:00 - Dynamite is sometimes used to "blow out" oil well fires. Him clapping his hands to similar effect hints that some of Banner's intelligence is still intact when he's the Hulk.
25:24 - "Elizabeth." None of us comic nerds really think of her with that name. She's usually "Betty" in the comic books.🙂
Wow, this one was A LOT! Congrats on getting over 1,000 subs. You only had 221 when I started writing these essays for you. And about these essays... I've tried to make YT content playing video games. I was a complete failure and hid away a majority of my feeble attempts. What I'm saying is that I know it's not easy to be a content creator. And these time-stamped commentaries are a kind of love letter back to people like you, who make the effort to put something fun out into the world. They say, "I watched. I listened to you. Here's my thoughts." It's the closest we can get to a dialog in the comment sections of a video.🙂
Thank you always for these fun facts and thoughts :) They’re always one of the biggest highlights of my comment sections!!
It’s really, SUPER great to hear that you’re also a video game fan. I actually focused on gaming for the longest time before I created this channel. (I made a lot of gaming recommendation content as well as let’s play series’). I got pretty big on the TikTok app but never really liked that platform honestly. It’s not for me. But every now and then, I still do partnerships and campaigns on there. In the end, I’ve always had a dream to become a UA-camr!
Content Creation isn’t for everyone, but it is definitely a really nice creative outlet. I’m still trying to get used to making these reaction videos. It makes me incredibly anxious every time I film, edit, and post onto this channel since I’m pretty new to this realm of recording myself watching movies. Over time, I know it’ll get easier with practice.
With that being said, I am extremely happy with the community that is starting to form on this channel. Getting to chat with viewers like yourself really makes this all worth it :) In a little while, I would love to pick up gaming on this channel as well. Play some famous RPG’s or any story driven favorites. I love gaming too much to completely abandon it and not make content about it. I really want to share my love for it with everyone else.
Thank you again so much for your continuous support! 😁
@@kaylyptic So much love! People are gonna talk, Kay!😉
If you do start making gaming videos, I'd suggest making a separate channel. We content consumers prefer knowing the one thing our favorite channels are focused on, and tend to dislike a "chaos salad."
Lemme see if I can explain this correctly... I've hit the bell on your channel so I get alerts about new videos. I thoroughly enjoy your energetic reactions. But I might not be a fan of you gaming. I can be a backseat gamer sometimes and it becomes frustrating for everyone. So there I'd be, getting frequent alerts to some content I enjoy and some that I don't. It would be annoying at the very least. And then there's the search... The search that comes when something in life forces an absence. Upon my return, I'd bring up your channel and have to scroll through your videos, finding the ones that I want. It's going to be annoying enough, what with you watching "The Boys."😤 (Again, my opinion is in the minority, so don't fret about that.)
I've subscribed to "mixed bag" channels before, and very shortly find myself unsubscribing because they wind up posting more of what I'm not interested in. "VKunia" and "Just SUMM Reactions" split their content to different channels, and when you look at the subscription numbers, you can see a large gap between those who enjoy their movie reactions and those who prefer their gaming content. You might want to reach out to them for ideas and suggestions.🙂
By the way, you had 1.01k subs when I watched your video this morning. 1.07k as I type this response. You're taking off, my dear!🚀
@@kaylyptic Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was originally the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
@@alwayswrite2011 Also wanted to point out at those Sonic Cannons came from Stark Industries which was the first thing that caught my eye the first time I watched this movie.
Another fun reaction!
Just a friendly tip - have tissues handy. Some of these MCU movies will make you cry. That's all I'll say, you'll thank me later lol
lol! thank you so much. i am definitely a sensitive soul so i’ll be needing them!
@@kaylyptic is kinda funny to watch a "reactor" say "I forgot my tissues, but this is a fun(ny) movie - so i shouldn't need them?" And all I think is, 'oh they'll regret that' lol
The bad guy another hulk or abomination or emil blonsky wasn't technically evil the super soldier serum not only enhance all physical trades but also psychological trades as well.
The serum makes good even great and bad to worse blonsky was a little power hungry but he was still a good solider who followed orders and would have died for the nation and good for all but since the military pumped him with so much serum he got messed up.
In the future he actually becomes a very cool guy controlling his mental problems threpay
Norton would of been great to play the Hulk in the Avengers, he nailed the role better than Mark did by a bit
I’m a huge fan of Telltale’s TWD series, so I’m in love with your pfp right now :,)
@@kaylyptic thanks hahaha, I’ve been a huge fan of the game since 2012 when it came out. Is Kenny your favourite character?
8:14 😂😂😂
Hope u eventually get a patreon. You'll get alot of your subscribers and then some to get it if u decide to go that route for the watch alongs
I’m planning on it for the future and I can’t wait to share the page when it’s all created!!!
@@kaylyptic That's great to hear 😁👍🏽
You gotta see Blade from the 90s. It's the only rated R Marvel movie. all the Marvel movie should be made like that one.
Ohhh I’ll make sure to check this one out
20:12 He’s coming back in the future.
The movie doesn't go into details but he's been the hulk for 5 years actually the time line coincides with the original hulk movie from 2003 and even though it's not canon to the MCU there are elements of that story that can be apply to the mcu hulk. Also the hulk is his own being it's just when Bruce decide to become the hulk he has more control over the body.
PSA, running is not good for you.
Fast walking is the way
I never understood why there are a minority of people who insist on timeline orders for this and other franchises. The producers released them they way they did for a reason but still these individuals are vocal and a few are downright nasty when someone discusses the benefits of release order. The end scenes in the MCU all flow into the next movie. I normally don't advocate release order for first time viewers for any franchises any longer simply because I'm tired of the arguing. Personally whatever works for the individual is fine. After all it's just about entertaining. It's not a religion.
more curious than cautious is the world of bad science, not science... imho
I am that chai 🍵 tea guy from India 🇮🇳. My exams are over . So I am free for more videos
Haha! It’s good to have you back, chai tea 🍵
Thanks so much for watching
Reaction please to hulk 2003 with eric bana
How's it going today?
Not a big fan of this film, but the MCU definitely picks up after this one.
Do You ever expect dog to die in a movie?
After watching John Wick, yes lol 😭
I hope Ruffalo eventually gets his own movie, this one was *okay* but there's some really good Hulk storylines out there, plus the action feels pretty tame in this one, for the level of destruction a Hulk movie should actually have.
Loving your reviews so far!
thank you!! i was lowkey thinking the same. the action was there, but there definitely could’ve been more.
I’d like to see more Hulk movies in the future. Like you said, there’s a good bit to play with since there’s different storylines out there
As a hulk fan I’m done with mark and his trash ass hulk who was a loser and coward. They need to reboot hulk and give us a recast for banner !!
Fun Fact: Mark Ruffalo was originally the director Louis Leterrier’s first choice for the role of Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
@@ricardoortiz4870 glad that didn’t happen huh
So how come you guys always skip the first hulk movie?
2003 or 2008?
This Hulk > Current MCU Soy Hulk
11:06 Weird because I don’t see Ty Burrell as a funny actor tbh.
You should really react to *Hulk (2003),* is way better than this one.
What’s your ethnicity?
Yeah, release order is 100% the right way to go. If nothing else, all the after-credit stingers being out of order risks spoiling stuff, not making sense/working at teasing the next chapter in the story.
I think The Incredible Hulk is probably the worst in the MCU; it's pretty boring, IMO. The "you won't like me when I'm hungry" joke is a solid joke... other than that, meh. Although the intro does a great job of setting up the backstory so we don't have to do yet another origin story (which they did, one assumes, because "Hulk" came out only a few years ago, and even though it's not part of the MCU, it would be crazy to repeat the same movie within that short of a span. Especially when the first one didn't do well enough).
So it gets better from here, although you already watched "Captain America" which is my favorite.
SPEAKING OF CAPTAIN AMERICA: a lot of the MCU actually revolves around him. Not just, like, because he's a central figure, but also the experiment that turned Banner into Hulk was an attempt to re-create the Super Soldier serum. I think that comes up several more times - other attempts to re-create the serum - over the course of the MCU but I wouldn't want to spoil anything...
Also, you realize they tranq'd the dogs, not killed, right?
I definitely realized after the fact when the video was all done. I got to thinking/talking about something else so I missed the part where it was mentioned that they went into this mission with tranquilizers from the beginning. Also am excited to see more of Captain America. Even though I’ve only seen a few mcu films so far, cap is remaining to be my fav
Hiii

good news! I’m actually planning on filming a reaction to this tomorrow :) it’s coming!
@@kaylypticplease do atleast 50 mins reaction.
Don't think about views, you'll get 10 times more views than your usual uploads.
I like this movie. Don't get me wrong. I give it a 7 out of 10 (5 is average). But this is my least favorite movie in the MCU, tied along with Iron Man 3.
you skipped one of the best parts wtf, bad reaction.
the 2003 Hulk movie is much better than this boring movie
Ok, maybe is time to tell you this: you have to watch the movies in release order
The post credits of this movie is literally a spoiler of Iron Man 2 and the post credits of Captain America: First Avenger is literally the spoiler of Avengers 1 so maybe you want to search the release order in google
i am doing release order now. i was wanting to do timeline order when i first started this series. but, i didn’t know that it isn’t best to do so.
honestly idk if i missed it somehow but no ending credit scene popped up for this movie. maybe because it was on Prime or maybe there isn’t one and i’m mistaken? anyway, Iron Man 2 is supposed to be next so I’m preparing to watch that one.
This isnt a thing (idk I dont watch much react channels) but I can just picture Kay and Seb from @SebScreen doing a react collab to something in the future. Would be the most enthusiastic and hilarious react video ever
That would be so fun to do! I hope I can do reaction collabs in the future :) Seb is such an awesome creator
The real Hulk was the security guard he was talking to from the 70's TV series. Lou Feriggno
