i was never hospitalized for my eating disorder, but i did find carrie and sierra schultzie (?) while entering and going through recovery. really helped me especially learn that people look GORGEOUS in all shapes and sizes
You’re so strong for going through this. I hope you’re getting better everyday❤ I had some issues with How I view my body as long as I could remember and finding UA-camrs like Carrie and Siera helped me SO MUCH to be more neutral about it. Please Carrie never forget you’re a light in people’s dark times
I am sure you have already addressed this, but torso length plays heavily into how high jeans will fit you. These are adorable jeans thank you for sharing 🥰
TOTALLY she’s saying almost none are high enough but almost every pair of high waisted jeans now is TOO HIGH for me bc I’m short AND have a short torso. Midrise is essentially a high rise on me😅 and there are very little actual mid rise options. It’s absolutely the WORST with leggings because they all come up to my boobs
That's true... I'm not tall at all (I'm just 5ft4) but only super high rise jeans (barely) reach my belly button because I happen to have a very long torso despite my short height.
@@jadepaulson742 totally agree with you! I need these companies to do more midrise jeans! I can never buy high rise jeans and the "lowrise" ones fit me much much better.
I'm a size 24 which in most US brands is usually a 0 in my experience. Generally a 23 = 00 and a 22 = 000 (super rare to find) I recently got a 24 in A&F jeans and it fit me like a usual 0 would. Just wanted to share in case that helps anyone else with sizing because I was surprised when you said their 24 = 000. :) I could be wrong but wanted to share my experience as a person who typically wears a 24/0 with their denim! As always, love your thorough reviews!
Video Idea: I think it would be fun for you to react to one of your old videos of you trying on clothes that you LOVED then but are absolutely not your style now. Ive been watching you for years, love your videos :)
Same! I vividly remember traumatic experiences in the Hollister/Abercrombie fitting rooms in middle & high school and I was only like a size 4/6/8 at the time
I think all of the jeans looked pretty great on you. I know you’re somewhat anti-midrise, but they look fantastic in terms of proportions on your torso. It’s absolutely a personal choice, though. I love a dad-Jean, but I’m quite straight up and down. Anyone with a defined waist would find the shape a bit ‘off’, I suppose? Thanks again for being our guinea pig xx
My favs are the dad jeans, 90s straight, 90s low rise baggy and the vintage flare!!!! Always in the curve love fit ;) I’m normally size up since I’m curvy and like a baggier fit, plus I find they run a bit small. I’m 5’2 so I get either short or EXTRA short lol.
I can totally relate to you about the sizing- the size 14 Abercrombie jeans were a bit too snug but the 16 are too loose in my waist and legs. Wish they made a size 15!
I'm 6'1" and it really depends on the brand for me. Sometimes "long" will be too short still, and sometimes it's actually longer than I need. My pet peeve though is when "tall" fits are wider in the waist too, some brands do this :(
@@bastillemyheart me too! I think it depends on body proportions a large part of the time. I'm 6 ft but I have a long torso (I don't look like I'm all leg)
Ooof!! I really think the 90’s black slim ultra-high jeans look amazing on you! 😍 They hug your curves so beautifully, and they have a perfectly smooth transition into that relaxed straight silhouette from the knee-down! 👌
Carrie!!! I just got my order from AF and got the slim straight bc of this video. I’m literally obsessed and it’s so freaking cute and comf! Since the button is diagonal, sitting down is super comfy. I also got the ankle straight and it’s super chic and I love that you described it that way also. Anyways, merci for the advise ;))
Love your energy. Great review. I totally agree with you on the "Ultra High Rise" preference. Even though I am only 5'3", because my hips are so wide, waist so small, and torso long, I NEED the high-rise (11") and above preferred. I've tried the high rise relaxed and it's a shame, because it's almost perfect. They should start making every style in 3 different rises, just like lengths. Because it's not just about style when it comes to rises. It's about the body shape and best fit.
Omg I love the flares! I'm straight up a 36 year old that never left the 90's/2000's and absolutely cannot wear a pair of jeans unless they drag on the ground like they did when I was 14 years old 😅 I was the kinda girlie that loved jnco's so the wider and baggier and longer the better I say hahaha
Abercrombie was my favorite jean/short shop for the past 15 years but I have found that ae are just slightly more flattering so this past year they switched to my fav jean shop. The second pair that you got in the loose fit, ae has a fit called "baggy straight" that are that exact fit but have a rise to the sky (13 in.) I love them and have 4 washes. They are ridged though and run pretty small in my opinion. I hope I see some jeans from them in the future. You look great btw.
I actually prefer the not as high high rise, because sitting in an office for long amount of time, it just cuts in under my ribs very uncomfortably. But I feel like some of the Abercrombie jeans I've tried which where 100 % cotton were too stiff for me to be comfortable as well. Although I love the curve jeans for people with wide hips but a small waist.
I understand what you mean about the white ones not being your style but they did fit you so so well and were very flattering, which is impressive because I feel like white pants are hard! I’ve never purchased a pair because I never love them on me.
If you ever wanted to try a skinny jeans, you should try the In The Style Carys Whittaker jeans! They are the most stretchy and comfy jeans ever!!! I'm OBSESSED!

Any chance you would consider doing a round up/try on of all the jeans you’re currently loving and wearing right now? Kind of like a best of shopping your closet?
The A&F Loose Jeans (Curve Love) are my favorite at the moment! I usually have major issues with A&F jeans gapping at the waist, and these fit perfect! I want them in every color!
This was great! It’s so helpful when going to buy new jeans. Would you consider reviewing Hollister jeans? They have some pretty good sizes these days and the patterns on the jeans are usually v interesting/funky!
Oooh the Slim Straight was made for people like me. I still like a slimmer leg, but not super skinny, but still fitted in the booty. Since I have no butt and some extra in the tum, this sounds perfect for me
white jeans will be the death of me!! I worked at AE so I had to know all about jeans and literally idk what it is but all white jeans run small or I guess just never as stretchy. I’d have the same size in all my jeans except the white. Even after I lost weight I went from a 14 to a 10 and still felt like my 14 white jeans were TIGHT
It could be interesting to see a review of COS jeans:) I recently bought a pair and it fits perfect! I’m 5’8 and they are long enough plus they have space for the tummy. So I definitely recommend to check straight-leg cos jeans.
I enjoy these videos and hearing about what people's decision making processes are around clothing and style. As someone who has sensory issues with clothes though, especially around the torso, I struggle with ultra high pants because I feel like I'm getting strangled! I have the 90 Relaxed jeans and they are definitely more of a mid-rise and I was actually surprised I really like them because I am just like you. I definitely have highest rise love!
I bought the Curve Love Ultra high rise flare jeans in white and they were so cute but only for 30 minutes. They stretched out way past what's normal to the point that they now look like baggy/boyfriend jeans instead of tight flares. I was really disappointed, they're expensive!
@@sophiag612 They're not stretchy, they're baggy and shapeless. There's a difference. The difference with the Curve Loves is that the patterns are made with additional inches in the hips compared to the regular.

Ok you should def try 14W!!! Especially with levi’s. I had a similar problem where I was too big for 14 and too small for 16 and i randomly tried a 14 wide from levi’s and my life changed
Thank you for this very helpful and cute video once again Carrie!!! You're so so beautiful and I always come away from your videos feeling so good about myself. I’m team ultra high rise these days and never turning back! 😂 Have you tried Everlane? I didn’t find their wider leg options flattering on my body but the skinny jeans are the best I’ve ever had.
The 90s relaxed pair was my fav! Put on a baby tee and air force 1s and you've got a badass look. Not your thing, I know :) Also I would never pay 100 dollars for a pair of jeans that's got such extreme (and unnatural😔) distressing. There's no way they will hold up over time.
Lol I’ve had the dad jeans for about a year and I still keep waffling on them- they’re just so comfy I keep pulling them out of the drawer anyway 🤣. But as a short torso human the rise is perfect on me. Overall I like the cut of the new abercrombie but I hate the whiskering at the hips- anyone else find this super unflattering? Also as a tall girlie it matters where your height is located, I have long legs but a shorter torso, so long jeans are a necessity for me but may not be for you. You look incredible in everything 😊
My experience with Abercrombie jeans is that they shrink in length quite a bit after about three washes. I wasted money on a pair in the short length because the regular seemed so long on me. After a few washes they were so short I ended up buying another pair in regular. The regular length was perfect after 3 or 4 washes. I'm 5'4" for reference.
I've also become obsessed with A&F in the past year or two--their sweaters are SO NICE and they have some really cute band tees as well. Love this video, Carrie--very cute! :)
I guess I'm old and "out of it," but I really don't like light/faded jeans .... I really prefer a darker wash - I find them more flattering and they seem to "last" longer! And, the rips are often too big for me ... I'm a little clumsy and have ripped them more putting them on .... The second jeans with the "V" in the front are very flattering from the front ... I think the "V" actually makes sort of an optical illusion that slims you out a bit (not that you NEED to be "slimmed out," but I just like the way you look in them) and I love the wash color.
I’m absolutely loving this video because I swear I keep trying Abercrombie jeans and none are working but I might try some new styles! Can I ask where the top you’re wearing is from?
Side note, I actually am loving the mirror in that corner because it shows an accidental 2nd view to the try on and I think it's helpful!

I'm 5'8 and I always order regular lenght and it's perfect for me.
Yes yes yes loveee Abercrombie jeans!
I’m absolutely loving this video because I swear I keep trying Abercrombie jeans and none are working but I might try some new styles! Can I ask where the top you’re wearing is from?
