Lyrics:
You can tell her there's a hot sun beating on the black top
She keeps talking she'll be walking that last block
She can take a subway back to the ghetto tonight
Well I got some beer and the highway's free
And I got you, and baby you've got me
Hey, hey, hey what you say Sherry Darling
#BruceSpringsteen #SherryDarling #NoNukesConcerts
Hate to say this makes the original sound dry, but this is possibly the best performance I've ever seen of any song, ever. The fact that Bruce puts on the full South Jersey accent and does it with all the finger gestures to show EXACTLY who he's parodying makes it so much more fun. I think people who only listen to his albums take him too seriously, at face value. He's an incredible actor, and he takes on the role of the characters he writes in his songs when he sings them. This guy he created, driving his mother-in-law around and pining for girls melting on the beach ...he performs it to a Tee but with just so much joy in his eyes while he's singing it... it's f'in genius.
Ok so much.😅
I guy on the top of his game.
Great live performers can make their so-so songs sound good, their good songs sound great, and their great songs all but life-changing. Bruce qualifies.
He wanted to make this a party song; he compared it to "Double Shot of My Baby's Love". It's supposed to be sung by a bunch of people drunk on beer.
Top of Game , here. LP Version beautiful, too! CLARENCE C 🎷!, this is *the* collaboration akin to T Road, all, u need , to know
Probably the most CC and Bruce knew 🎉 of each other ❤ , was actually, just this!
My idea of heaven....a never ending Springsteen show.
Jimmy Buffett for me. He did it to the day he died.
TRUE !
Good Idea..
My only complaint with seeing this is now I am filled with an unbearable urge to immediately hear Jackson Cage.
Join the club and peace
70s Springsteen... simply unbeatable.
Absolutely
That was his best era. But he still can't sing and the band is predictable but decent. Too much sameness with the Clarence solos coming in at the same time each song. He tries a little too hard to get the crowd jacked.
As opposed to 70s (in the age sense) Springsteen. I mean no disrespect, but...
Even in the 80s still was the Best!!
I like the guy and I think he's a brilliant singer and performer but I find most of his tunes really really boring.
Bruce dances the way everyone would if they didn’t care in the least what anyone thought.
IMHO this one track has all of the Springsteen brilliance; humour, Clarence, compassion for the ordinary working man, razor sharp lyrics and a great tune.
This is so perfect that I wonder if anybody, anytime will outperform him. Good music, playfulness, professionalism, positive masculinity, out-of-this-worldliness and did I mention good music.
000
I'm from freehold I've met Springsteen I've seen Springsteen and they will never be another Springsteen!!!!
I was at this concert. I was 14 years old and it was thrilling! I still count this among the best concerts I’ve ever seen.
Enjoy your memories of that special night so long ago.
That era was just the best for music.
I was there and 16
14!!!!!!! Enjoy your memories
you lucky bast...
I just love the fact Bruce and the band have so much fun when they are performing. It is a privilege to watch.
Even all these years later they still kill it and have fun.
Oh boy yes! This is another great example from a few years earlier - looks so much fun. And Roy is *on fire* on the piano. ua-cam.com/video/cx_K0tFXr8k/v-deo.html&ab_channel=BruceSpringsteenVEVO
She's keeps talking she will be walking that last block...yeah sure
I can't even count the number of concerts I have seen
Yes, he looks lit. Nothing like good old Jack to get his performance going. Cheers!
The greatest live performer ever.
Absolutely, positively 100% true.
👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇭
@@michaelgladman9087 i was there!! ❤️❤️👍👍👏👏🇨🇭
this would have to be the best, most fun Springsteen performance ever!!!
The best saxofonist EVER! ❤
One more time....for these guys back here!!
Question "who's the Boss?' is answered once and for all. Bruce, we love you in Croatia 🇭🇷
Back in the day! I wish I could return to that time again!
me too ....bro
We can never return to the past, we only have the memories.
Perfect
Man, Bruce won't get no rest. Every year he rolls a new movie out, a dozen of archive concerts and a new album. He's trying to do his best for the fans, and that's quite rare in the industry.
Ya he sure is in love with himself
You know he sold the rights to his music it's the record company not him.
@@BootlegGarage108 well, it's not that easy. He didn't gave them away like that. They hold the rights over the recordings, not over the compositions. And the record company can't release something without his involvment and agreement, because his imput is vital to every release. I bet this wasn't even an idea coming from Columbia/Sony. This is Bruce. This movie was very hard to put together because of licensing, so let's enjoy what we have.
Dealtfel, mă bucur și mai mult când descopăr că există fani și in România !
@@askvlad 😁🖐
An utterly joyful performance - no one can hold a candle to him and his band!
I don’t ever get tired of watching and listening to this one. Love it
Ain’t no party like a Springsteen party!
This must be one of the best rock concerts of all time and this song was the highlight. Bruce dancing on stage like a mad pixie enjoying himself very much indeed and the Big Man playing his fantastic Sax solo that still literally drives me to tears after listening to it for hundreds of times! How I wish I had been there. I will once time travel becomes available!
I love the earlier shows with Bruce letting loose and dancing! He’s so connected to the music! 🕺🏻
Hi there
Thanks for your love and support that has brought me this far, it has been a hard time for me going through this but your love and support keeps me going and standing strong in this difficult times. I do read your heartwarming comments and I truly appreciate all you’ve done for me throughout the years.
It’s a season of love😍❤️❤️ for me and so I decided to put a smile on the faces of my fans by going through my UA-cam channel and checking out on my fans, so I can get to communicate with my fans better through discussion of depth and humor listening to o and criticism of my career.💞💞🙏💖💕
He still let's loose and has fun with it...when he brings the lady on stage on Mother's Day and sings Save the Last Dance for Me,from just the stance and hand jesters as he's inviting her on stage to dance and while dancing, that playful smile,so damn sexy and when she kisses his hand and he tenderly tilts her head and kisses her lips...OMG He knows he's made her night and genuinely seems to enjoy doing it,what a lucky lady! And when he does that (rare ) version of "Fire," he's so sexy, just so much sex appeal just oozing out of him,and Human Touch video with vest/no shirt and then not even the shirt...enough to make ya instantly melt ,wild horses couldn't drag me away...YUMMY!
Getting the audience ready
Absolutely love the filming style for this concert. So immediate, so full of energy. It really puts you in the crowd and the moment. I think that concert films these days can be so boring. This one is definitely not boring!
what your seeing is cameras on stage which most artists don’t allow. it’s highly intrusive to the artists, but it does make for good watching.
@@lokijam It sure does!
Agreed
Yes so much energy, so much fun! I just keep watching this video over and over. 🕺🏻💃🎶
There's a certain coolness and indifference the audience displays which is vastly different from the zombie type, fist pumping sycaphantic audiences you have today. They all are very interesting to look at. Its obvious people had more personality back then.
How do you NOT fall in love with these people?
hello, how are you doing it is nice meeting you here.
One of Bruce's great gifts is being able to transport a listener to the scene. Who doesn't feel the sweat and broiling heat in that 1970's city traffic? AC? Get outta here! Thank you, Bruce.
Bruce went to the back of the stage to show love!!!
Bruce is not just the artist who can fascinate the whole world with his unique songs. The boss is everyone's heart, when he feels our pain, our love, our joy, everything that makes us feel people ... And he can sing all this with his uniqueness .......
Like a Human Touch ....Thank you Boss....
So true.

Man, I wish my cousin David was still around to see this come out next month. This was HIS Bruce. This is the Bruce that he used to get us all into Springsteen. The greatest live performer....ever. Thank you, Bruce, for getting this out to us fans. Love ya.
Agree
Man that comment drew tears to my eyes. Could be he is now hanging with the Big Man and Danny ! Cheers to you sir.
This song is ruthless thank christ for bruce springsteen
My favourite Springsteen song
This makes me feel young….again! I saw him in 78 and 81….great times,
I have never enjoyed what I do for aliving as much as these guys do .
Ich war dort. Und seitdem der grösste Fan von diesem wunderbaren Menschen . ❤️
My new favorite song
This was my first ever concert at 16 years old.
At first blush this song may seem to be focusing on the superficial, a girlfriend, her mother, and the daily hum drum of life. But with most Springsteen songs it tells a deeper story of love, coming of age, summertime, youthful exuberance, second chances and a future filled with many exciting unknowns.
One thing I find really endearing is the fact he’s taken that Tele with him throughout his career. You could notice the chip just above the pick guard. Now that chip is a large chunk missing. It’s not about the years but the miles.
Got to see that guitar at the Rock and roll hall of fame one year. It was amazing!
I love the way he plays around with his guitar tech when the cord comes out at the end. Both grinning and having a ball.
Kinda like Willie and trigger
i don't know for sure if it is true, but I've read several places that he doesn't play the original Tele--the one from the iconic BTR cover--when he's on the road and such as the intensity and constant use can be damaging . I've read they have replicas that he has techs put the chips and and such on to make it look like the original tele
In 1975 that Tele was relatively clean on the cover of Born To Run. The shellac and the finish chipped because his playing style changed in more of an aggresive aproach to the rythm section.
BRUCE , CLARENCE ... GREAT AMONG THE GREATEST !!!!!!!
Man who still rips that sax like that! Bruce forever!!!!!!
Clarence Clemons il miglior sassofonista di sempre🎷🧔🏿
for those of us old enough to remember the four seasons hit 'sherry baby' who also came from new jersey when bruce did this song it tapped into that older memory and it became the high energy rocker with a contemporary story line... got to love the 3rd generation rockers like bruce who grew up listening first to elvis era then beatles them his turn....
Collabro has an extraordinary version of Sherry, Darling.
Ci manca Clarence col suo sax....😊😊😍😍😇😇💘💓💔🙏🙏
Comment peut on ne pas aimer ???? How is it possible not to like ????🤧
You can tell he’ s taking so much pleasure doing that show!!
So ein toller Sound.. geht in die Beine
I miss THIS Bruce. All about the music. Grateful to have seen in 12+ times in concerts where he gave his all. Something imho regrettably changed within that pure and beautiful soul.
Love the joy flying out of big man 🎷 sax
No better live show than this man and his band
I have done everything but beg for his May 9th 1974 show; the show where Jon Landau wrote about Rock and Roll's future... the day I was born!
I was there that night at the Harvard Square Theatre. I come from Cambridge. It was an amazing show!
@@paulsullivan1650 You lucky person! Real pleased for you. One can dream for an official release; considering, in my opinion, its importance in Bruce's career.
Holy moly...
Super ultra killer live performance
Ohlala ce solo de saxo est vraiment légendaire !
Can't watch this without a big stupid smile. Pure unadulterated JOY. Thank you .
This is when I got into Bruce: 1979-80. Classic Bruce! Fabulous live, and what a dancer! RIP the fantastic Clarence Clemons.
Listen to his first album. 1973, it came out. Not a commercial success. But so, so good. Greetings From Ashbury Park. Or something like that. I have it on vinyl, but have not had a look at it for a looong time.
@@roybean7166 Oh I have. When I discovered Springsteen, I poured through his back catalog of recordings. Greetings is fabulous. My favorite overall is Nebraska, 1982.
Love this, just love Clarence ❤ r.i.p
With the E-Street Band he is innately a one man-power plant, electrifying a ”town” full of audience for hours. On this special performance of just an hour & half, he is riding the set like a high-voltage rollercoaster stuntdriver in speed, giving to the show what he’s got - meaning usually his most legendary everything.
And in the end of the show, the ”town” is full of win-winners. ✌️😁

An alternative energy source if ever there was one!
Really looking forward to this. I was at a book event for Steve Van Zandt's new book where he said that Bruce and the band made a conscious decision in the 90's that if they asked fans to love them back in the 60's and 70's they can't just walk away now that they've made it and so they reunited. They need to write books, release music, concert footage and tour as much as they can and keep repaying back to the fans at every moment they can. If that is the case you won't find me complaining!
Stuart..Are you going to reply to Bruce? Is it really Bruce?
@@brucespringsteen2490 Thanks Bruce for all the concerts and music for the last 45 years you have been the soundtrack to my life. First time I saw you was Wembley arena in 1981 and still remember it like yesterday
Bruce Springsteen was the Elvis Presley of heartland rock.
Ooo!! The Big Man!! 🎷
That beautiful
Mountain of a Man!!
I miss him!!!
Cool to see that shot of his backup guitars- 1954 whiteguard Tele, Country Gentleman, two Rickenbackers!
I lose calories watching Bruce sing, dance, and play. Love to all.
I once read that he loses about 2-3 pounds in sweat alone during each show and he gets a Thai massage afterwards.
What an incredible performance! The Boss and E Street Band on fire!
Nothing beats The Boss and the E Street band ❤️
Thank you for your kind comments dear, I hope you and yours are doing great?

Greetings from a true Balinese fan at Bali / Indonesia ! I know he and the band will never perform at Bali 😞 but I will travel any where to see them for the 5th time !
This is BEYOND great. I can't wait to see the whole thing! A theatrical release would be amazing too... just sayin'...
No one saw any of this before you never saw the whole concert I saw this in the 80s on PBS
@@CC-mg3ho The original No Nukes concert film had a small portion of Bruce's set and sets by other artists also. This new film is all Bruce/E Street and comes from both nights of the concert.

There’s a reason Bruce Springsteen and Freddie Mercury are my two favorite rock music frontmen! They work the crowd better than anyone else I’ve ever seen!
Omg...mine too!
I often wondered if they both enjoyed each others shows. I know that Roger Taylor was a fan and even recorded Racing In The Street. And there is Brain May watching James Blunt singing Dancing in the Dark
ua-cam.com/video/CQA4qeOilmA/v-deo.html
They are two of my all time favorites too
Ok Mitch, but Bruce has written all lyrics and music that played in his Lp's
Freddie also wrote more than his share, but what does that have to do with them being the two greatest frontmen?
Bruce is the GOAT.
good show! May God bless you & may God bless America.
Just to cut in and say that I went to a book signing and Q&A with Steve Van Zandt yesterday and he was everything you would expect, bloody brilliant. Standing ovation when he walked in and again when he left...just a great, great day and, like these video clips, he filled the gap until Bruce and the band tour again....
Thanks for sharing this experience! I've been waiting 3 weeks for his book to arrive. He's a great man and I so appreciate his creation of curriculum in education. I'm a teacher.
@@kathleenomeara9704 Hi Kathleen, hope you enjoy the book. Haven't started it yet as I wanted to delay the moment! He did talk about how he wants to expand the school curriculum in the US, so that music and the arts play a greater role in other subjects, in particular the sciences. He made a lot of sense and said that Connecticut has really embraced the idea and he's hoping other states will join them.
ps...Not entirely convinced that other reply is really from The Boss. Not sure he would have used so many emojis or strangled his grammar in that way..! Whaddya think..?
@@gm9075
Hi
Yes! Many grammatical errors for a writer of his caliber to make!
Governor Lamont has embraced the opportunity to use Stevie's curriculum model to enhance the progression of outdated teaching methods.
A move forward to address the needs for students in the large, inner cities. Yeah!
What also is wonderful is Stevie will take the time to zoom with the teachers to learn about
the successful strides or areas of concern.
And thank you for replying to me. 😊
Have a great day!
@@kathleenomeara9704 You, too. Happy reading..!
I love how the audience could get right next to the stage. No barriers. Just up close and personal. The audience and band coming together as one.
This was before John Lennon was shot... That obviously scared a lot of musicians - now after Dimebag Darrel's murder in 2004 is when they really ramped up the overzealous security. I used to work at an arena and I got to know the security guys - they were all genuine sadists. They actually enjoyed beating up teenage kids...
Just to say I have attended Springsteen concerts ( in Europe) over the past 15 years ..and you can still get in the pit area and b right up against the stage. Unbelievable experience..
It's unbelievable how amazing Clarence was
He's the greatest human being who ever lived
Party noises!!! Incredible great Rock n Roll!!!👍🎸🤟
Caught myself smiling wide while checking out this gem! E Street approaching maximum power!

What's not to love?! ❤
The No Nukes album is outstanding -- an era when numerous artists had something tangible to say......and weren't afraid to speak through their powerful artistry.
Have you noticed how modern pop artists have been absolutely silent about issues? Their corporate bosses won't allow them to address things like police brutality, etc. It's all "oooh girl" - in real life Americans are broke, the women leave the men, and the men end up homeless. Bruno Mars isn't singing anything about reality...
“BOSS TIME!”
