Thanks for sharing your potter friend’s work. Have you ever considered starting a second channel that showcases artisans work. You are a natural presenter with a generous nature. So many talented people that would love to be introduced to the world. I think it would be an interesting venture that you would be perfect for. Just a thought.

The permit system looks like it is being changed to suit certain groups. It seems most mudlarkers have a real investment in preservation and the have a love for the areas. A bit of meanness going on here

I really agree! Nicola is a wonderful presenter. A natural! She easily conveys knowledge in a way that mak a things easily understood. I think of each of her videos as a “mini vacation” with an artist and historian and preservationist. I have chronic illness, and it is so important for me to keep my focus on beautiful and interesting things so that I don’t get discouraged.

Your words on mental health hit home hard as I do struggle with things due to circumstances that were out of my control. I have gotten help and continue to do so but just wanted to let you know that your channel, Aaud's channel, the Northern Mudlarks and others truly help soothe one's mind and to me are very therapeutic. I also follow Aquachigger and a few other metal detectorists as well as some bottle hunters and privy diggers. Its people like yourselves that do more than you will ever know in helping people in a fragile state. God Bless.

What a wonderful video Nicola!! I love watching your mudlark videos because we get to learn so much about the history of things that you find, but I also love the way you bring in people that you know concerning a subject that you find mudlarking, which was pottery this time. Didn’t he have some beautiful beautiful pieces?!!My favourite piece was the 3 fish plate hanging by the door. My second cousins wife was into making different types of pottery and she did such beautiful jobs of what she was working on. She did an 8 Piece place setting for her China set and it was so lovely to see. Then she went on to do plates of every dog that they had ever owned and I can tell you they owned a lot of dogs.
I absolutely love seeing how excited the little boy was, and then seeing his dad twice as excited which I thought was the best!! Mudlark will be something that they do together for a very long time and what memories they’ll make together.
Now this brings me to the new way of getting the mud larking permit. I hope you don’t mind me putting in my two cents worth, but I think the mudlarkers like yourself and SIfinds who have been doing it for years and years should just automatically be renewed and I think the new permit holders should be from the public that haven’t had a permit before so therefore they’re a different category. I really hope that the mudlarkers like yourselves are able to get your permit without a problem. Let’s hope. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Well, see you in your next video. Have a great week Nicola!!🥰🐬

What a great potter, Adrian is... I love the fishes, all of them!! What talent... my husband grew up fishing, so we embrace the culture that is fishing!! From beaver dams, streams, rivers or oceans, where there are fish , we can eat! It's such a basic thing and Adrian has captured the essence so well.Thank you for sharing this with us... you're awesome!

Thank you Nicola, for the lovely video, for all those people you introduce and for all the wonderful information you share with us, your viewers. Loved the pipe extraction, the coins, the pottery shards and that wonderful bottle! What would it have held? Wine, spirits or water? And thanks for showing us through Mr Brough’s lovely studio. I guess you’ve never, ever regretted the day you quit your office job for mudlarking! Look at all the adventures you’ve had, the wonderfully interesting places you’ve been, and friendships you’ve made. Your life must be just perfect now…..and to even have wild squirrels and foxes visit! Oh, joy of joys! I’d adore that!

I love this channel. Being from Texas, a Texan who loves the history of London...this is just amazing content. To be able to walk the shores of the ancient Thames...and find little treasures...tickles my insides. Treasures from medieval times...roman times, even before...is just so intriguing. Thanks for your efforts...truly amazing content.
